This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” When I originally received an invitation to beta test this scanner I had no idea what to expect.. The only scanners I had ever used were part of a fax machine combination. I was quite surprised when I received this little box. Surely I thought I had been sent the wrong product... My nine year old granddaughter was with me. She opened the package and set it up all in less than ten minutes. We were off and running..The scanner was so easy to assemble we never even looked at the instructions. After attaching the scanner to the USB port it was all systems go. I logged onto my computer to download the app.I had one small glich , I had to disengage a file in my AOL virus protection software. After I did that I had no problem. I scanned a few documents to test , the paper fed through with no hesitation.. I was very pleased with the scanner.. It's especially helpful when I'm working on my laptop and need to scan something. I don't have to drag a bulky scanner around that takes up all the space.

Directions are simple, and everything else you're guided on by clicking on the various steps for installation. Papers scan quickly and the colors are quite vibrant. Impressed overall.

This Epson portable scanner has impressed me from the very beginning. The scanner was shipped to me in its original box alone and because Epson thought out the packaging, my scanner arrived in great undamaged condition even though there where small dents and dings in the box. Unpacking was easy and quick. Included with the scanner was the power adaptor, USB 3 cable and documentation. Installing the scanner physically was a breeze. The problem I ran into was that when I went to install my internet was down and I couldn't install it because I could not download the software to complete/ initiate the install as you need to install all software before plugging scanner into computer. I miss the install software cd's because of this. After inter was back up, install was painless. Using the scanner is where I was completely blown away. The scanner is almost silent and is pretty fast during scans (duplex) and extremely fast doing previews. All the scans that I did were very clear and ledgable. The suite of software download gives you many choice of what you can do with your scans plus you can scan business cards as well. Overall I am impressed with this portable scanner and it's included software suite. I would've like to see a CD with the software included but I do realize companies are going away from that. If you need a portable scanner or just a nice small one for your home, you can go wrong with the Epson ES-200. This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I received the product in a sturdy box with bright colors. The product packaging was eye-catching, distinct, and very visible by it's bright green outer appearance. I was expecting a larger product but this small piece of equipment is portable, light, and easy to assemble. I mistakenly connected the scanner to my laptop before downloading the software. I'm not a huge fan of downloading software so the process was painful for me. The download took about twenty (20) minutes. It failed to detect the equipment. Eventually, the set-up was complete and ready to start a test scan. I elected to scan documents in varying sizes and colors. The downside to using this product, is having to go to the "app" first to prompt it to scan the documents. Once the documents were loaded, the speed of the scan was impressive (very fast, very quick). What I did not like is the scanner was incapable of scanning all 14 documents. The scanner was scanning two pages at a time. The first scan, scanned 10 of 14 pages. I restarted the process and loaded the documents by size. The second scan, scanned 11 of 14 pages. If this could be fixed, I believe the product would get a 4-star rating. Lastly, the clarity of the scan was of poor quality. The scan looks dated and stale. There was no fresh qualify about the scan, you can tell that it was reproduced by a low grade piece of equipment. It looked like a black and white fax from the 1980s. Good quality scans, very portable love that it's small enough to fit right into my backpack

This is a review for the Epson-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Upon unpacking, I laid out the device and the three connecting electrical cords. I read over the directions several times. Upon visiting the referenced-in-the-directions installation software, I downloaded 'Download Capture Pro v1.07.12 (epson18405.exe); found out afterward that 'Epson Scan OCR Component v3.0.2 (epson18632.exe) next had to be downloaded and installed. This was done. Per the directions in Step 2, I double-clicked on the downloaded software package. Nothing happened. I attempted to install and get the scanner up-and-running 3 times with no success.

I really like this scanner. The box was compact with no wasted material. The scanner was snuggled inside well protected. Included was the scanner, a USB3 cable (important), a power cable, and some paperwork. No installation media was included. I view this a plus, as I'm not going to use the installation CD anyway. I'm going to download the latest installer from the support site. The quite useful quick install instructions has a short and simple link to type in to download the installer. If your computer has USB3 ports, you can use the included (standard) USB3 cable to connect the scanner without a separate power cord. This is really nice. I ran the installer and the installation went without issues. The included Document Capture Pro software works well. I didn't have any problems with it. I was also able to scan without issues in Photoshop and Acrobat. Physical build on the scanner is excellent. It's extremely well made and very sturdy. I also like that it has a dedicated business card slot. I don't use these much, but it's nice to have when you need it. Could also use for keeping track of physical gift cards. All said, my experiences over the last few weeks with this scanner have been excellent. It’s nice and compact. Easy to use and set up. Not as fast as i was thinking it would be, but I haven’t tried adjusting any of the settings yet.

The ES-200 is small and a little on the medium in weight to it. It’s a good space saving device and is fully portable. The scanner doesn’t feel cheaply made of any kind. The direction of English and Spanish part was bunch together. So, make sure you read the direction very carefully. If you follow the download directions, then the setup will be a breeze. After installing the scanner, it went through an update process which didn’t take long. The ES-200 is a fast little device with surprise me very much. I went through hundreds of documents like it was nothing. Also, be careful because sometimes the paper may get snag with some of the documents. I love the add option of using USB and the Plugged to the wall. If you want the scanner to be fast plug into the wall. The USB option allows portable, but take away the speed part of the device. The software was easy to use and understand even a caveman could do it. I use some of the online options with where easy for me. The biz card sync with google and outlook contact was great. The document capture pro works well with syncing to OneNote, Microsoft SharePoint, and Google drive. This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review This is an easy portable scanner once you get it working. It was a little confusing at first and I am good at electronics. The instructions has you download the software package and lists the site but fails to tell you which one there are several on their website they direct you to. I just downloaded all of them. Once you get going and figure everything out, it is very easy to use. you can save the document or just scan it directly to an email, or do both. Scans are very clean. You can time stamps documents, Duplexes, even adjusts the paper, can adjust to fill in hole punches. It was giving my some issues with detecting the paper at times. But eventually it did take. Has a nice feature for credit cards. I would recommend this scanner, once you get it up and running, it is very easy to use.

I have been looking for a "portable" high quality scanner and this is IT. Load my documents and click the one button to scan and leave the magic to the device. Packed full of extra features, I love the fact that I can set my quality preferences and I have no fuss, high quality PDFs (my preference... certainly you can choose any extension, DPI, etc) ready to use. I have tried several various scanners. Flat bed, Multifunction, hand held.. and this one beats them all. I LOVE the fact that I can flip a switch and it will take a credit card/DL/Business card, etc... and reads/feeds like a champ. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a scanning workhorse. Image is very sharp and scans both sides at the same time and scan is very quick.

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. It's a cute little scanner. Very easy to use. Directions are simple, and everything else you're guided on by clicking on the various steps for installation. whenever I need it within seconds I can get it out and put it back in its place. It scans up to 8.5" wide documents, receipts & business cards, even id cards and has a different slot used to scan those things. It can scan items to PDF and other formats with standard selectable resolutions. All in all its excellent.

I brought ultimately brought this due to price as double side scanner. I have a printer with scanner but it only scans stuff as image, so i wanted a scanner j can scan legal size documents and receipts into pdf file. My old gaming laptop was able to power this scanner on full battery with me needed to connect the power adapter. I had thsi scanner since late 2021. Recent i switch to a 2 in 1 laptop and require me to use the scanner power adapter. I use the device almost once a week to scan bills and recipts. Today when connecting the scanner i receive a usb has malfunction msg. Im glad the device didnt failed on me with first two years with a purchase price of $236 bwfire tax but im still disappointed that it didnt quite make it to year 3. It was difficult to use but sometime the document would scan crooked or generate lines down the document. I woukd recommend it for professional use. I woukd recommend lookinh for simikar product with a high customer review rating.

It was very easy to pick up from Best buy and it was available right next day. The Scanner is the best I ever had. Very easy to set it up and it's very small. Extremely fast. It scanns both sides and it's easy to delete it if you don't need it or set it up for one side scanning too. Super product! I think its worth money.

After purchasing this scanner, I was informed that I had to contact a number given in the set up instructions as I would not be able to download the drivers directly. When I contacted the number, I was informed by the technician that my computer would not allow the drivers to be downloaded as my computer was infected - after paying an additional $99, I finally got the drivers to use this scanner. I bought this scanner as Epson is a good name. The scanner is great- I like it, but if I knew it would cost ma another $99 I would not have bought. Use caution when downloading the drivers or contacting Epson - so disappointed in Epson.
