stopped working after a month

It is now 1 month later, August 15, and it stopped working. At first I didn't have issues. But today, it won't work. It keeps blinking on and off when I connect to my computer, and the app keeps losing it and then regaining it. I tried both my Macbook's USB ports, and also switched different USB cords. It's not my hardware or connectors. There's something wrong with the software or the epson hardware itself. I haven't traveled with it so its impossible to be damaged in anyway It's a Sunday so I'll try reaching Epson support tomorrow, but so far this is extremely inconvenient as it is my only scanner.

I think it’s because I own a “notepad” laptop. So the connectivity via the USB was not strong enough to support this scanner. Wish there would have been an easier way to connect this device to my laptop!
