Not quite laser, but decent quality

My overall impression of the printer is positive. The printer came packaged well and easy to remove. It came with the ink required to get started. Setup was fairly easy and straightforward. I set it up with wired ethernet with static IP, and set it up as a network printer on my pc. Windows 10 did not have the drivers pre installed and I didn’t use the included cd. I went to the Epson website and downloaded the drivers and installed them. It didn’t seem to contain very much bloatware. The only issue with setup was a very insistent popup on the printer to install a firmware update after I plugged up the ethernet. I had the pop up twice and got tired of it and just ran the firmware update. Installing the needed apps on my android phone wasn’t hard, but not necessarily straightforward. I never did get the NFC reader to work, but I wouldn’t use that really anyway. The print quality was decent and with decent speed. It wasn’t laser printer fast, but the results were pretty good. Printing pictures was good, but I wouldn’t say it is as good as a professional print. The paper feed left a lot to be desired. I put in about 20 pieces of paper and the first few prints were ok, but then it started picking up 2 and 3 pieces of paper at a time. I don’t use the printer for printing and copying as much as I do scanning. I use it to scan my docs directly to a shared drive and I love this feature. Now I don’t have to use an FTP server or usb. This feature worked well and the scans were very clear. So, all in all it is a good printer with a few quirks, but it works for me. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I was a bit skeptical about this printer at first because it appeared to look a lot similar to the other model than I had hoped for.  It turns out that for the volume it’s capable of doing, it’s fairly light and you can find a spot in your home office for it.   So let’s get into it.  Let’s talk installation! With the exception of the blue tape you have to remove inside the equipment, it was virtually installed. I love the process used to fill the inkers.  Unlike traditional printers you don’t install a cartridge or ink tank.  The tanks themselves are located on the side of the machine all by themselves which makes for easy and convenient filling.  Now, let’s talk about the setup for printing.  I’m a huge Wi-Fi user, and I love printing photos directly from my phone.  The Wi-Fi Setup was easy and I quickly tethered my phone to the printer.  To make matters even more interesting, my mobile network is not the fastest in the land.  I was very surprised at how quickly the response was when I sent the print jobs from my phone via the Epson IPrint App!  So what about speed and quality?  Well, I have to be honest the speed was very impressive. The quality met the minimum requirements and the photos came out quite nice.   Overall, on a scale from 1-10, I’d give this printer about a 7.  It can handle a large volume; I can’t see myself running out of ink anytime soon as it relates to standard home printing needs.  Furthermore, I believe it would be great for small business needs as well.   “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

The Epson WF-3720 All-In-One device seems to be a well-though-out product for the small office/home office environment. After a quick read throught the User's Manual, it connected to my wifi network with no problem with default settings. The touchscreen control panel on the printer is very responsive and requires only a light touch, and it was a pleasure to use after living with the clumsy buttons and display on my old home printer. The control panel has an adjustable viewing angle, which is quite convenient. The driver and software had to be downloaded from the Epson website, and installed on my Windows 10 laptop with no problems. Test files printed quickly and looked good. A friend and I were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to print from our mobile phones. My Nexus 6P (with latest version of Android) required the Epson Print Enabler from Android Play Store (free download), but her iPhone 6 required no additional software. She said, "Oh my gosh, it's so easy!" Scanning on the device wirelessly was a breeze from my laptop. The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is a great scanning feature which allows up to 35 pages to be stacked on in its tray. I was able to scan a 7 page document containing text and images in ~65 seconds (including the time to transfer the pdf file to my laptop). Other features that make sense for businesses include the ability to scan documents and send via email and can it be done directly from the control panel (doesn't require a PC). It has an internal contact list that holds 100 entries, and entries may be quickly entered via the printer web interface or imported from a Windows Address Book. Email groups may also be created for sending the scanned documents to multiple recipients. Scans may be sent to FTP addresses or SMB (Windows) shared disks. Internet printing can be accomplished via Google Cloud Print services and Epson Connect Services. Epson Connect Services allows a document to be sent to the printer's email address. Other features include the ability to send administrator notifications to different email addresses for different events (paper out, paper jam, out of ink, etc), and disabling the printer's USB and memory card slot. The Epson Workforce Pro 3720 printer has exceeded my expectations for a non-commercial print machine. I had a brochure booklet that I needed printed for an immediate event. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the booklet printed and bound in time. I decided I would put this printer to the test since it was my only option with such short time. The clarity of the pictures and the clear look of the ink made it look like it was professionally done. The pages printed at a decent speed and there was no “ink smear” all over the pages. I was able to place the pages into a neat cover and it really looked like I paid extra money to have a professional quality booklet completed. I only expected this printer to work well with more of the school and light work projects. I never expected the results that I did get. I am very happy with this device. The setup only took a little time for me. I didn’t experience any issues with compatibility or with my computer using this printer. Everything I needed was right there in the box. I have never owned an Epson printer before now, but I can’t imagine ever buying a different brand again. Excellent Printer for Small/Home Businesses

I've used this printer for a full week now and its been working like a champ. Its been ideal printer for my needs. First of all, the printer is super easy to set-up and get running. It took me about 8 minutes to remove the printer from its packaging, install the included ink cartridges, and then setup wireless printing. I really love it that no computer was required to get everything set-up. The touchscreen display made setting everything up very easy. I was also able to access the admin page for the printer via my iPad browser to complete the Google Cloudprint & Apple AirPrinter setup. *Pro-Tip* There is a Epson Printer Finder iOS app that will find your printer's IP address so that you can access the printer's admin page. I was able to start printing directly from by iPad very quickly. The printer even has a Wifi Direct option where it creates its own wireless access point so you can use the printer without an existing wireless network. The printer has a lot of great options such as scanning to the cloud, to email, to USB, to a computer, or to a network folder. The printer has a USB Type-B port, USB Type A, RJ-45, and phone line ports. The printer is also equipped with Wifi Direct & NFC. The printer prints very fast and with high quality. I print a lot of text manuals/reports and the prints come out just as good as a laser printer. The only part that I was worried about was the ink cartridges that are included with the printer seem small. However I was able to find that Epson sells high capacity cartridges that print ~1,100 pages B/W versus ~350 pages B/W for the standard capacity cartridges. Overall, the Epson WF-3720 printer was great. Its easy to use and works well. It also has a lot of extra bells and whistles that are helpful for some users. Excellent Choice

The Epson Workforce Pro WF-3720 is an excellent device. The printing detail is outstanding. If you are looking for an all in one printer this is a great choice. Connecting to the printer wirelessly is easy. The initial setup PC side on the otherhand, is not easy if choosing to add the printer to the network. The Setup program just can't seem to find the printer even with the firewall exception. I had to connect directly to it (AP mode) to finish installation. Setting up the network through the printer control panel was very easy. The WF-3720 can be set up both wifi ways (network and printer AP mode). After the setup is done its very simple to connect and print to the WF-3720 by printing straight from phone, tablet or laptop. I believe it has flash memory built in. I had it unplugged about 13 hours and it still remembered my settings. Another plus if you deal with power outtages. The printing speed is quick you won't be waiting very long. The documents come out crisp and clear. Having 2 sided printing is an amazing feature. Scanning works great and can be done wirelessly too with no quality loss. Copying is quick and come out clear. I can not tell you about the fax feature as I can not test it. Overall, The Epson Workforce Pro WF-3720 is a wonderful all in one device full of awesome features. Usefull for home or office at a great price. The ink cartridges that come with the printer are normal sized, you can purchace XL cartridges for this. Depending on how much you print, the normal cartridges will last you a long time. If you plan on printing pictures/graphs at high detail, I would suggest you buy the XL cartridges. The software that is included with the printer allows you to monitor the ink levels. This printer is a very good all in one. It is a breeze to set up and print quality is superb. Overall it has all the features that most users will need in a small office setup and it takes up very little space. This machine came packaged very well and after a little removal of some packing tape and inserting the ink cartridges and a quick prime of the ink, it was ready to go. Network setup was simple and was easily done with the touchscreen. It easily detected and connected to my wireless network and then was able to be found by all my devices. The paper tray holds a significant amount of paper and is fully enclosed. It prints very fast and is quiet. When printing from another room I could not hear it at all. The usual clunks and whirs are minimal. I was able to use the NFC print from my android phone and it worked wonderfully. Initially when the phone was placed on the NFC pad, it sent me to a utility app which needed to be installed. Once this app was installed, I just selected the file to print and placed the phone on the NFC pad again and it just started printing. Scanner has a large document feeder and produces clear scans. I love the ability to have automatic double sided prints as well. I did not have a chance to try the fax options as i have no phone line currently but it appears to be very intuitive as well. I was able to create a file on the computer that was ready to fax directly from the computer without the need to print it out and then scan it. Overall i would recommend this all in one to anyone in the market for an affordable machine that will produce quality prints. Surprisingly fast printer

This printer really surprised me with the speed in which it copies and prints in both black and in color. The experience began with the box itself. It isn't too heavy, but the handles cut into the box were helpful. The printe came with starter ink cartridges, but if you wanted to buy some before leaving the store, the ink numbers you will need are clearly listed on the box. There is handy bag with handles that help you pull the printer out of the box away from the packaging. Great idea. The compartments and parts that lift up or open are secured with bright blue tape that helps you make sure you get every part functional before starting it up. The power cord length was sufficient. I have had other printers that required I buy an extension cord. I have Wi-Fi at home and the touchscreen on the printer was so easy to use to get set up on my network. Connection was quick and easy. I located an app in the Google Play Store and added my printer to my phone (android). The test page the printer produced shot out so quickly. I know this is not a laser printer, but it certainly preforms as one. I located a PDF in my files on my phone and sent it to my printer and handled 6 pages of mixed black and white, color titles, color photos and diagrams with surprisingly fast, clear and sharp performance. The replacement ink cost is competitive and very simple to install. The color touchscreen is simple, concise and intuitive. The non-tech savvy will have no problem setting up this printer and everyday use will be second-nature. Well done, Epson. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

This Review is for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The WorkForce Pro WT-3720 is a very good all in one. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it prints. I also have a Dell C1660w LED laser jet and I must say that the speed is comparable. I do run an 802.11AC WiFi network in my home and I was concerned about connection issues since all my devices are connected to the 5 GHz network but the printer resides on the 2.4 GHz network. Fortunately, I did not run into any issues with the network, and I am able to print from all my devices. There is a little delay when printing wirelessly. I believe being on different networks is what causes that delay. Devices tested: Windows 7 PC, Surface Tablet (8.1RT), Nexus 7 Tablet, iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S7. The scanner/copier functions work amazing!!! I was shocked at the resolution and the easy to use interface. The scanning function can achieve clarity of up to 1200 DPI. The professional printer we use at my job can only go up to 600!!! Software: I must say hats off to Epson. The software installed smoothly and there was minimal bloatware. The interfaces show a good amount of thought. I was very pleased with this. Setup was a breeze and trouble-free. Even updating the firmware didn’t take long. Not much to say here since it was so uneventful. Overall, this printer is great!! I do believe updating it to an AC standard would make the printer a truly 5 Star printer. The prints are sharp, but have a tiny bit of bleed. Nothing crazy and certainly could have been due to the paper quality. I wish I could give .5 stars because my true rating would come in at a 4.5/5.

This printer is awesome and very well designed. Packaging This thing is packed very well and everything is inside the box nice and tight. Nothing was loose or had the chance to even be damaged. Everything was covered with plastic and Styrofoam. Setup The setup for this printer was very easy and intuitive. The printer pretty much does everything besides typing in your wireless network password. We were up and printing within 5 minutes or so. That 5 minutes entails unboxing, plugging it up, and setup time. Printing The quality of prints this thing produces is great. It is nice and fast at producing a very good printed paper with just run of the mill cheap printer paper. Pictures are done very well when the correct medium is used as in nice quality photo grade medium. Definitely recommend on this alone. Scanning The scanning on this printer is very fast and transfers directly to the computer wirelessly like you would expect. Nothing much going on here as this is a common feature on printers now days. Wrap Up All in all this is a very good middle of the road priced printer with great quality. This is a must buy for anyone looking for a great printer that won't break the bank. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”
