Don't Buy...Read all of the negative reviews

I bought this printer less than 2 years ago, and all of a sudden, I started getting a message, "scanner error". Nothing now works and when I contacted Epson, they said that nothing could be done about it and I would just need to buy a new printer. Upon further research, this is a uncommon issue with this printer and its hardware. The hardware often fails and Epson will do nothing to fix or replace the printer. Luckily, I haven't opened the new ink cartridges that I recently purchased, and can return it, but I will never buy from Epson again. I suggest you find a different printer, if not a different company.

    Poor photo printing

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It is a reasonable document printer both B&W and color but as a photo printer it is extremely poor quality. I have had numerous photo printers in the past and this one is by far the worst. I did keep it for my personal computer at work, otherwise it would have gone back for a refund.

I bought this printer to replace a laser printer that finally died. I wasn't expecting the same quality that I had been used to but this is really a let down. the rollers are excessively noisy and routinely grab 10+ pages at a time. printing is sometimes not straight, cut off, or starts too low on the page- all roller issues. I really regret buying this and I'm past the 2 week return policy so I'm stuck with it now- I should have paid the extra and purchased elsewhere with a better return policy so I could take this back and buy something better. Driver install is nonsense- it ran for an hour and got stuck in a loop where it kept installing over and over again- I had to force quit and all was installed just fine. I see Epson isn't the product it used to be

    Frustrating Printer

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is the most annoying and confusing printer I've ever had. For ex., I never use color, yet every month it refuses to print my black and white page(s) without replacing the color, despite color not needed. So I try to replace the three types of colors it wants, yet it is so unclear on what to do that I cannot reach the color to replace-it does not allow me to replace it. I always have to get help from a computer expert to replace color, just to print in black and white. Why the heck it frequently wants color when I never use color, I don't know.

    Worked great at first but....

cannot easily manage the quality of print like you can with HP. It worked well as a scanner and the auto feed really worked so I could load a 10 page doc and scan and it would load each page perfectly. The problem now is wifi relatedZ: the wifi worked well until I had a power outage and now the printer cannot find my wifi network in my house in the same room, yet if finds 5-6 of my neighbors networks? I have tried resetting routers, modems, updating drivers, still nothing, very disappointed, may have to go back to another HP.

    Worst ever or Defective!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have had Epson printers before and loved them. This one takes 3 minutes to print one black and white page on "normal" quality. It does not print double sided. It uses a ton of yellow and magenta ink even when printing on black and white! I have contacted customer support many times. It speeds up for awhile, and then back to 3 minutes per page. I have asked for a replacement or a refund. Nothing. Due to poor customer service for this defective printer, I will never purchase Epson again.

Horrible printer. Paper feeds incorrectly, has ruined reports, wasted my coper paper, the display is touchy, paper drawer is sometimes tricky to close etc. etc. Had another epson printer for years that I loved but had to replace so I am surprised by this model. I use this for a small business but nothing complicated and I can't stand it. Wish I could get my money back.

Ok, I understand $89.00 printer. Set up was easy enough. Ran fine for one college semester. Now the print head is jacked. Im in a loop now. Won't print, says run print head test, reboot, won't run the print head test because it can't print, reboot, rinse and repeat. Suggestion, save money overall, time and frustration, don't go for the cheep option. I should have learned my lesson.

Bought this printer in June. I changed the cartridges and it won't recognize one of them (Magenta) all brand new cartridges. bought more cartridges and still won't recognize ANY of them (all are Epson ink cartridges). It is now December. Have hardly used this printer....now it won't work at all as it keeps saying there is a problem with the cartridge. Have spent more on cartridges than the printer! What a waste of time and money.

The printer was fine until it ran out the ink which came with the printer. Tried a 3rd party ink cartridge which it would not recognize. Tried an Epson original cartridge which it would not recognize. Tried refilling the original cartridge and reinstalling, which it kept telling me was empty. I will never buy another Epson printer, plan to get a Canon.

Hello 4underpar, the Epson WF-3720 is designed to use only genuine Epson-brand ink cartridges. Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly. Epson provides information about the design of the printer on the box, as well as many other locations, including materials shipped with the printer. If the problem with the genuine Epson ink cartridges still persists or you need help with anything else, please call our Advanced Support Team at 1-800-241-5794 between 7 am - 4 pm (PT), Monday - Friday. DO NOT BUY! WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!

Horrible printer! I bought this not long ago and barely used it. I was only printing inn B&W, no color ever. Somehow the color ink is now out AND it won't print until I purchase a 3-pack replacement at $45-$50. I tried to tell it to print in only black & white but it won't. Customer service answered none of my questions. This is a complete scam! You've been warned! UPDATE: I found a solution to this issue! I used a nice framing hammer & smashed it to 50,000 little pieces. Problem solved!

Epson WF-3720,the worst printer I ever owned. If you don't print something every day the black print head clogs up and you have to run it through the cleaning process at least twice to get it to print properly,I guess that's Epson's way of selling more of their overpriced ink.I will never buy another Epson product.

I've only had this printer about 5 months, and now after multiple nozzle cleanings and head alignment procedures, about every third line of text is unreadable. I can't believe in 2018 a printer like this can't even print basic text well! So disappointed.

This is the first product review I have ever done but this printer is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. The “expert” at Best Buy highly recommended it. Needless to say after a whole box of ink and on the phone with technical support for an hour cleaning the heads out of the box it still will not simple print in a timely manner. Don’t waste your time or money, leave this one alone!

We haven't even had this printer for a year yet and it has been nothing but issues. It constantly is having issues and we have had to update it online multiple times. It ended up having hardware issues before even a year and the EPSON company was terrible to work with on resolving the issue.

This is the worst printer I ever had. Besides using too much ink the printer is overall a PITA! It often miss-loads paper, most of the time grabbing 2 sheets at a time printing half on one page and half on the next page. I will never buy an Epson printer again.
