Many useful office features, but OK for home use.

Does all the literature says, including double sided printing, and auto feed multi sheet scanning. Still one first cartridges of ink, so no real input on cost of operation. Replaced a simpler Epson that lasted nearly 15 years. Hoping build quality and reliable longevity might approach that.

Ink Consumption

It's a decent printer, but it I've never seen a printer go through so much ink in my life. We barely do any printing (mostly docs, not photos), a few docs a week at most and it is truly incredible the amount of ink consumption. It was to the point where I decided to go with remanufactured ink cartridges because 1) they are cheaper and 2) I was hoping the issue was with Epson cartridges. Didn't solve the problem and in fact, you cannot do any software updates with the printer unless you use genuine Epson ink. I'm back to using Epson cartridges now, but I doubt I will buy another Epson printer. Should've stuck with HP.
