    Printer stopped recognizing ink catridges in less than a year of owning. Epson support indiciated this was a hardware failure and the printer would need to be replaced. Epson support requires the customer to pay shipping costs to facilitate a replacement even though I was within the manufacturer warranty period. I had a Brother printer for over a decade before buying this one which had zero issues before it finally died. I will NEVER buy an Epson product again...will be going back to Brother.

    I would not recommend this item. their brand of ink is expensive and if you use another brand (print is terrible).

    Cartridge Ran Out of Ink in Two Days

    Since a ream of paper lasts for months for me and ink cartridges typically last even longer, I did not expect a new ink cartridge to be empty after printing about ten pages.

    Epson's soft wear needs big help

    The printer is not user friendly. It says it out of paper every time I want to print something. It will not print if there is no WIFI even with a hard line. I used up the black ink and gave the printer back to Best Buy. It whirls and clanks and whirls and clanks whenever I tried to print something. I bought an HP lazer printer. Big improvement

    This printer is absolute garbage. It never connects to the wifi network (I've only been successful 3 times so far in 1.5 weeks). When it does connect, the printing is terrible and you have to run through the clean nozzle cycle every time. I sit here tonight trying unsuccessfully again for the past 1+ hours to get it to connect to wifi with no luck. Never will I buy an Epson product again. This will be going back to Best Buy.

    Very Disappointed

    Totally dislike! Does not scan double sided without using an app. Does not print 2 sided from the feeder tray. Eats ink! In less than 6 weeks, we have gone through the cartridges it came with and another box of xl black and all 3 colors. When trying to print a color picture ( not a photo) it prints with light green lines unless you change the setting to photo glossy paper. Needless to say that causes the extreme ink draw. So very disappointed

    stay away! randomly prints gibberish every day

    Stay away from this and any Epson printer if you have Windows 10. This printer randomly prints out the same 2-line of text everyday. Epson support is telling me it's a windows issue and there is nothing they can do. They say this is a common issue with a lot of printers.

    Does NOT do duplex scanning as indicated.

    I'm giving 1 star because the specifications indicate duplex scanning and this is not true. In order to scan both sides, you have to scan one side, then flip over and scan the back side. That is NOT duplex scanning! One of the reasons I chose this printer was that feature and disappointed in the false spec.

    Wi-Fi connection trouble

    This printer will not stay connected to my router. Tried all the trouble shooting recommendations. I figured out that resetting to Restore Default Settings screen menu on printer, and opening the Epson Connect Printer Setup app on your pc to reconnect to wi-fi network. Everything else works well.

    Once it’s up and going pretty good printer/scanner, but when it’s left alone for a lil while dang things stays disconnecting from the wifi.

    This printer constantly disconnects from our WiFi, and AirPrint was the only reason for buying it. This is a complete lemon. Don’t buy the WF-3820.

    epson support and online accounts are horrendous. I will personally never buy another epson printer again. best buy is the one who recommended this printer as a bundle save with my laptop. It was shipped to the store so I picked it up Feb 6 which is labeled as my purchase date, and it said it was not eligible to return as of Feb 21st. also epson phone support is from 7 to 4 on weekdays when I am at work and do not have my laptop or printer on me.

    Printer After 11 Months

    Have had this printer for less than one year and already asking for a third set of ink cartridges even though there has been minimal printing. There is no 3rd part ink to choose from and there is no reason for the ink levels to be lowered while not in use. Possibly the worst Epson printer up to date and will definitely have me thinking on whether or not i should continue to do business with Epson.

    It was great when I first purchased (a few weeks). The scanner is malfunctioning. The scanner works when it chooses. My documents are not scanning doubled sided. I plan to return this item.

    this printer does not work i bought it in April and didnt open it until last thursday the black ink cartridge does not fit. i tried numerous times and even change the black cartridge i plan to return it but i can get it back to my car without assistances

    Poor quality

    This is not like Epson's older printers. The quality has really gone down hill. Last one I will ever own. Major issues include paper jams with error codes, for no reason. And will intermittently lose wifi connection, for no reason. Maybe Brothers will be better, hope springs eternal.
