Slow scanning, Slow printing, not easy to get setup and connected to computer, Will not print double sided sheets. Will not scan double sided sheets. Scanner function gives error and have to use Microsoft scan which has low function. I would not recommend this unit unless you are someone that is not a heavy user and are not frustrated much with nothing being easy to use or set up any more.

I have been using all in ones for the past twenty years until now and this printer is difficult to use if you are using wifi only I had to purchase a printer cable to use the printer and scanner. The two sided printing and copying is either deceptive advertising or too complicated for me to figure out. I suggest to anyone adult in the workforce, spend the money and buy a better all in one. This one is not worth the money or headache.

Don't waste your money. Nothing but trouble, not scanning, not faxing, and paper jams like I've never seen. I didn't get it hooked up right away because I was in the middle of a big scanning project with my old HP that quit printing black. Best buy 15 day return policy won't take it back.

How Could the Best Get Better?

How could the best get better? Epson has been my “go to” printer for quality and intense color through many decades. On a daily basis for years, I have used large Epson format printers and small desktop printers. If I need a no hassle printer to print the truest color possible for my clients of photos of interior finishes and materials, Epson has always been the most dependable. Before I purchased my Epson WF-3540 almost 7 years ago for my home office, I went through two other brands and was very frustrated with continuous paper jams, poor color quality, limitations in scaling the final copy/print, etc., but when I purchased the Epson WF-3540 I can say without a doubt that the Epson has never once had a single paper jam. So, when I had an opportunity to try the WorkForce Pro WF-3820 all-in-one printer, I knew that I needed an upgrade, and I did not have to think about trying it for even ½ second. The WorkForce Pro WF-3820 is everything my old printer is and much more. The colors are even brighter and truer to the actual hue, intensity, and shade of the real object the photo has been taken of and represents. The pigments dry instantly and using the Epson DURABrite Ultra inks assures me further that the printed matter will be the best representation of the true color that I can find. This model also features the new Epson technology termed “Precision Core Heat-Free Technology which was designed for even more enhanced reliability with minimal downtime. The quality prints are delivered at a speed of 21 (black) or 11 (color) ISO ppm and so far, the colors are brilliant and accurate. A multi-use all in one, this inkjet printer prints, copies, scans and works as a fax. It has a 250-sheet paper tray capacity and an 8.5” x 11.7” 1200 optical dpi flatbed with an automatic document feeder that can handle 35 sheets. The WF-3820 Pro has a copy speed of 19 prints in black per minute, or 9 copies per minute for color. The range on reduction and enlargement goes from 25% to 400%, and the fax has the memory capacity to hold 180 pages and retain 100 numbers on the speed dial. For me, the wireless printing is a big attribute, but this printer can also interface through various connections including RJ45, Bluetooth, and USB Mini-B. It works with Android, Apple, and Mopria, as well as Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth. It is also compatible with the operating systems of Windows and mac OS. I do not consider this all-in-one to be portable; however, it just weighs 19.4 lbs. and only has a footprint on the desktop of 16.7” x 9.8” x 19.4”. It also uses 4 Epson ink cartridges. The all-in-one printer was very easy to set up. After unpacking and removing any tape, etc. I turned on the printer and answered a few questions on the LED panel about language, time date and country. Then I lifted the scanner unit and installed all four cartridges, after which I followed the LED screen instructions and the cartridges calibrated themselves for approximately 4-5 minutes. During this time, I loaded the paper tray with printer paper. I then connected the telephone line from the wall phone jack to the Line port on the printer, answered a few questions and installed the DVD (included) onto my computer so that I could install the Epson software in order to set up the internet and print connectivity. All of this took less than 20 minutes and went smoothly with no hiccups. The printer seems to be quite and efficient and I hope it works as well as the Workforce before it did. The color is brilliant, and I am very pleased with all of its functions. Epson uses the phrase “Exceeds your Vision”. This is just not a catchy marketing play on words, Epson, from the dot matrix printer on, has earned this slogan by making their product better and better until the finished product is about as good as you can get. I highly recommend this printer. At the price point of $149, you cannot beat it. It will Exceed Your Vision and is the best.

I made a BAD choice selecting this printer! It's okay for simple letters or copying documents but overly complicated for everything else. And, no SD reader for printing pictures from digital cameras Pictures I have printed from my files are not of good quality. Definitely NOT recommended for photo printing. Would not buy or recommend this printer, especially at list price
