    This is the worst printer I have ever had. I rarely write reviews and this thing has drove me nuts. First off its always delayed low on ink. I don't use color ink but I have had to replace all the colors twice just so I can print in black. It ill let you print in black maybe once or twice without color ink but then it stops and won't do a single thing until you purchase more ink. The ink is not cheap either. Its glitchy and the canning function double feeds all the time. Save your money and go with another brand.

    DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!! First of all, the printer started having issues within the first week. I tried to return it to Best Buy but they wanted an additional $59 dollars and some change to join some program to return it. They wouldn't even honor the return of the product. I wouldn't purchase anything from second best buy nor would I purchase an Epson printer again.

    Been less than a month. Paper jam issue is super common where the machine feeds in multiple paper at a time (sometimes feeds in 20+ pages of paper at a time).

    Mediocre at best, manipulative at worst

    Mediocre at best, very frustrating at worst. The setup was clunky and had to be performed multiple times. The printing deteriorated rapidly and the printhead needed cleaning all too often. Even with new ink cartridges I had to clean the heads 18 times consecutively just to get decent printing. The end game for me was that it kept pushing updates. The most recent one disabled all my print cartridges that had been working minutes before. It was an obvious ploy to circumvent less expensive printer ink and force customers to buy their overpriced printer ink. This machine is going to the landfill just so that people can see the name "Epson" where it belongs.

    WORST PRINTER EVER w/ NON RESPONSIVE CUST. SERVICE

    I have always had epson printers and this is the WORST printer . Constantly jams after the first page. The warranty is for a refurbished printer so beware of the 1 year warranty as the refurbished one sent to us is doing the same thing - constantly jamming and plastic teeth on the roller just breaking off. Customer service never gets back to you. We are out the 169.00 we paid for this so we will not purchase an Epson again.

    Not worth it

    This printer requires ONLY Epson ink. If you use ANY OTHER INK, it is programmed to stop working in other areas and won’t work UNLESS you only use expensive Epson ink with this product. It is programmed to shut down and give errors. I should’ve stayed with my HP or just got a new HP printer. I thought I was upgrading. I wasn’t.

Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly or at all.     Not as good as my old 3540 which I wish I still had. Ink is outrageously expensive. Cartridges do not last long. Going in the dumpster very soon.

    Not a good experience with this printer!

    Total disappointment. Printer ink cartridge doesn't line up correctly so I had to "trick it" into stopping short so I could insert ink cartridges initially. It worked fine until I needed to replace the black ink. I purchased the Epson ink for this model so $75 later, I get an error message that says. "Cannot recognize ink cartridge." No way I can use the printer until I figure out what's wrong! Trouble shooting videos are worthless! I was highly satisfied with this printer, right up to when I needed to replace the ink cartridge.

    Don't Update Firmware

    It's a nice printer but a terrible, terrible value. This printer guzzles ink. The printer claims that all of the cartridges are empty after just a few uses. A new pack of ink cartridges cost 75 dollars, which is half the price of the printer. Furthermore, Epson has released a firmware update that prevents the printer from functioning if you attempt to use any other brand's ink. Do not buy Epson printers. They are a terrible value in use.

    Not a reliable machine!

    We bought this printer less than 2 years ago and have been so disappointed. We don't do a lot of printing but when we wanted to use it there was always some issue that took up great amounts of time: software update, cleaning heads, connection issues, etc. We contacted support and were told we were doing all the right things. The printer now will not work at all. Not a good machine!

    Piece of crap. They start out well, but after a year it is time for another. It is not worth the money. This is pretty typical in my experience with the Epson All-in-One. Either I must stop purchasing the all-in-one or Epson products all together. Sorry not sorry Shaq!

    Doesn't stay connected to wi-fi. Inferior quality.

    Printer won't stay connected to wi-fi even though I have an extremely strong, 500 Mb/s wi-fi connection. Have an older Epson WF-3540 that works fine. Mechanical quality of WF-3820 is definitely inferior to that of old printer. I would definitely not recommend. Will try an HP printer instead of Epson. Very disappointed in Epson's new line of printers.

    Stay away if you like reliability

    Nothing but ink cartridge issues and error messages. This machine has defects in the software or the hardware it more times than I'd like doesn't recognize authentic Epson ink. I've had other cheaper models that have had no issues until after using for years. Once I get frustrated enough and throw this one out the window I will never buy an Epson product again.

    Worst printer ever

    Had so many issues with this printer and the wireless connection. It would constantly lose connection and then you would have to go throught the process of reconnecting to the wifi. I could never just print and it be good. Finally threw it in the trash and bought a canon printer. It works perfectly.
