Best Buy sent me a used damaged printer

I was sent a used printer with a broken piece that had been glued back on. The box had a damaged corner and was dirty and dusty especially on top. The printer had smudges on top and I found a tiny piece that had fallen off. When I figured out where it belonged I could see a little spot of glue where someone had attempted to glue it back on. I was very dissatisfied with this so I had Best Buy send a new one. When I returned the old one I kept the ink cartridges that came with it. I knew they would just be tossed out or leak during shipping. I loaded the ink cartridges into the new printer and the black which showed full before was now half gone. The colored ones went to 3/4 full. After printing about 20 half page labels in black ink the black ran out and the color cartridges shrank to about 1/4 full. I had only printed 1/2 sheet black labels- no color. I had saved the new cartridges that came with the new printer so I used the black to replace the empty black cartridge. It would not accept it. I ordered a black cartridge and used it. Now after I printed another dozen labels the black is already shrinking and the.color shrank to about 1/8 full. Yes all of them. I have not printed a single colored sheet. I am keeping track of the number of half page labels I print - No color at all. If the color continues to drain and runs out it will cost me $60 to replace then. I’ve already spent $20 for the black. I can’t afford to keep spending $80 just to print a few dozen 1/2 page black labels. If this is how it’s going to be the printer will be returned and I will find a replacement that is more efficient. I could only give a one star rating because of the used printer that was shipped to me and the excessive use of ink and the inflated price to replace it.

It's fine for minimal work. It is very slow. Has a lot of updates that pop up. The ink that comes with it doesnt last very long and was cheaper through other places instead of Epson.

Reasonable price and seems to be better made than more expensive printers from other well known brands - has deeper paper tray, feeder, & easy to read controls.

What’s frustrating is that I have to buy a new printer every 2-4 years. And every printer has a different ink cartridge. Why?!?!?! Ridiculous!

Do not waste your money. I have had this WF-3820 five weeks. Paper jams already and today, after I pulled out the paper tray, it would not insert all the way back in. I called Epson customer service and could hardly understand agent. She said unit was defective and gave me two options to return to Epson, both of which would place holds on my credit card (as far as I could understand). So disappointed!
