Not only does the paper tray frequently refuse to shut properly, but I found out that I cannot print in BLACK AND WHITE if I am out of color ink. That is the most asinine "feature" I have ever seen. Do NOT buy this printer unless you enjoy being ripped off.

This printer worked great from August 2021 to October 2021, but this month (November 2021), it has given us nothing but problems! It won't stay connected to Wifi, it keeps saying it is offline when it says excellent connection, I am lucky if I can print anything on it recently. Constantly saying there is problems. I have found if I turn it off, then reconnect it to the Wifi after turning it back on, it works but I don't want to have to do that every time I have to print, especially since I work at home!

I had the previous model of this printer the 3620 and ordered this since this was the one that I could get. After enduring getting shipped and returned 2 other units through numerous calls to Epson, the 3rd one did work and let me get started. I then realized that some critical features that I used on the old model were not available on this one like it will print duplex, but not scan in duplex.

I suggest you test the product thoroughly before you state its ability to perform certain functions in your advertising . This product DOES NOT do two-sided scanning despite what it says on the box. I went through the users guide SEVERAL TIMES and there was no mention of two-sided scanning unless for some reason that information was placed in another section.

I used the printer somewhat reliably (wifi is unreliable, but not similar to what I've experienced with outher brands) for over a year. Then, they pushed a firmware update that apparently bricks the printer if it doesn't have new, original Epson ink cartridges installed. It's one thing to sell the printer with that requirement clarified before purchase. It's another altogether to do it after the fact to force the user to continue to buy their extremely overpriced and short-lived cartridges. Sneaky, shady and quite unfortunate. Guess my formerly working printer is now e-waste.
