The ink tanks seem to have a longer life than my old printer. Only issue is the screen will sometimes turn on randomly in the night lighting up my room, but i resolved this by placing an index card over the screen.

You will not be able to print unless you replace all low cartridges. I wish you could still print with the cartridges that are not low. Hopefully the manufacturer fix this issue.

Posted .Hi Brittney, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that must be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing only black text, a small amount of color ink is used to keep air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head.
