Don't Waste Your $$$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely bother to write reviews, but I'm aggravated enough to spend the time on this product. The 4 star review on this product is deceiving because all the reviews are after a couple of days or weeks of use. I bought this printer in Oct 2015 (1yr 3mo ago). It worked decently for about 12 months. 3 months ago, it started printing with horizontal black streaks even after running the recommended head cleaning protocol. Today, I got the dreaded 0x97 error. This error conveniently doesn't appear in any of Epson's documentation, but when you research it online everyone basically says the printer is dead. Of course the warranty expired 3 months ago. Planned obsolescence at its best. You can do better. Look elsewhere for a printer.

Would not recommend WF-4630
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm on my third refurbished model of the WF-4630... issues with printing (prints multiple blank pages, had printer cartridges jam, and one model didn't print at all) have been a consistent issue since day one. Avoid this model and brand!

Two 4630 printers, same result
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer after careful reviews and loved it. Fast, ink usage not bad, setup good, great functionality. After a couple months started having stripes on pages. Ink levels all good. Called support, after a couple days and trying multiple things, Epson sent me another printer. That one worked well for a few months then the stripes on pages re-appeared. I could not even print out a boarding pass that was readable. Two lemons in a row?? Gave up and bought another printer, will not try Epson again.

Failed in 10 Months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.10 months of light usage and the printer is dead. I have done more research after it died and it seems to be a common occurrence with the Epson line these days. I'd recommend choosing another product line. Took it back to Best Buy and they told me to call Epson. I just left it there on the counter and walked out as it's just a $200. paperweight to me. Best Buy, you should offer better service when the product is still under it's 1 year warranty and not just tell me to "Call Epson...".

Worst printer I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put bluntly, this printer is horrible. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! After reading reviews for the printer on Best Buy 1.5 years ago I purchased it because of its glowing reviews. I really should have waited until the printer had some history of real use. Unfortunately, I purchased it and did not need to use it right away. By the time I really tried to use it the output was terrible; smeared ink, and gaps. I then used their test utilities and print head cleaner and it just does not work. I did the utility process at least 20 times. The print-head is not readily accessible so you have no way to correct the head if anything is clogged. You cannot even get a simple document printed that looks acceptable. Forget about printing any photos. It also consumes ink extremely quickly and the replacement cartridges are quite pricey. I am a computer professional with over 35 years in the industry. Check out reviews at Consumer reports. That is where the real story of how pathetic this printer really is really is: http://www.consumerreports.org/products/all-in-one-printer/epson-workforce-pro-wf-4630-285020/overview/

Last about 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer a year ago and it worked great for 6 months. Then it started putting lines on every page I printed. This is not a problem when I am just printing for me, but when I have to print gift certificates or proof ads for our business it becomes quite problematic. I have cleaned it so many times through the maintenance section of the printer and it keeps getting worse. It also runs out of ink WAY faster than the guy at best buy told me it would.

Epson failed terribly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer only lasted about 2 months until the printer heads get clogged. Had to buy more expensive ink after doing the maintenance the company recommends trying. Nothing worked. Called Epson and they finally agreed to replace the printer. They replaced it with a refurbished printer. After a couple of months, yes it has the same problem. The company holds your credit card with a value of $179.99 to be paid to them if they do not receive the torn up printer within a certain amount of days. On the very, very rare occasion that you can get the printer to work, the quality is poor and it goes through ink like crazy due to the constant maintenance that you have to perform on the printer. I read reviews before buying this printer, I guess I should have looked at the dates. Those reviews were from 2014-2015, the reviews from 2016-2017, show a totally different printer. It shows you what you are really getting. I will never buy another Epson product again.

HORRIBLE Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY This product - in 2 years had it replaced twice and the product never worked more than 6 months for standard use; the worst part Epson DOES NOT stand behind its products and refuses to exchange the product after the 1 year warranty expired even if as a user you have not had it for longer than 1 year at any given time! This is TERRIBLE!

Piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My EPSON printer broke after a little more then a year and printing less then 4000 pages. I called Epson and they asked me to put new ink cartridges in (over $100) and then they tried cleaning the heads. It didn't help at all at which time they said it was a hardware problem and there was nothing they could do. They wouldn't fix the printer, send me a new one nor refund me for the ink. Needless to say I will NEVER buy an EPSON printer again.

Printer died after 15 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dreaded 0x97 error code after using high yield cartridges for a few months. It worked perfect for one year and then first paper tray failed and I had to load through second tray (not a huge deal) but at about 15 months, the aforementioned error code rendered the machine useless.

dissappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My printer worked great for the life span of about 1.5 years. Used very little ink. I have 2 boys in school and it gets used daily. Then it started to distort entire lines evenly spaced. If i reduced the print size the distorted lines were still the same. Everything shrank equally. Besides these evenly spaced horizontal distortions, the rest printed fine. I didn't have a warranty through the geek squad but did print an example page in for them to see if they could offer some advice. There advice was throw it away and buy a new one. If it wasn't an easy fix I am not surprised it would be considered BER. I would expect a $200 printer last longer than this. I would stay away from this printer. I won't buy again.

Just a bad printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this printer expecting good results. After going through the first round of ink cartridges, it started smudging lines and shadow printing. All the trouble shooting from Epson did not fix the problem. They sent replacement printer and after using the first round of ink cartridges and install new ones... same problem. Don't know if it is the ink cartridges or the printer. Yes I am using Epson ink cartridges.

Ink spot Inside Glass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer has been OK for a year, with low use. Right at the year mark I was printing a photo and noticed a black spot on the scan. I found an ink smudge was inside the glass. Epson was not helpful at all with this issue and offered me a 10% discount on a new printer. This was an expensive printer. I was told the glass cannot be opened by the user and the nearest service was 120miles away, and would be at my expense as the warranty expired a month ago. I am very dissatisfied with this printer and would never purchase another epson.
