Cartridges are incredibly expensive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The cartridges for this printer are a minimum of 25 dollars and third party products are not available because of encryption on the chip. I ran through cartridges quick on this printer. If one cartridge is out, it won't let you scan or fax. HP and Cannon have products with better web apps and ink you can buy from third parties. I had a hard time getting all of the web applications working on it so I had to have a windows computer to scan. With the HP I can do it all from the browser on my chromebook. Check ink prices before buying the 4720.

The issue came today, three days later, when I received a notification that my printer was almost out of ink. I went online to look into getting a new ink cartridge: $30 for the same size cartridge I had just emptied in three days. I cannot afford more than $200/month for ink.
