In my case I only use black ink and have bought a replacement. How ever I cannot use the printer until I replace the color cartridges. I've tried several time to bypass by following the manual but it does not work. This is a big disappointment; specially when my daughter needs to print homework a midnight and it is due in the morning. Big nono Epson
