    After using this printer for three months I received a scanner code error that prevents me from using the printer overall. After multiple attempts to fix it, the printer still doesn’t work. Wasted time and money.

    Customer support is not even there he call him and say I have a problem with my printer duplexing double-sided printing and they say oh let me see if they have that option I said yes I know it has that option because it keeps double-sided printing and they could not help me figure it out after three phone calls

    Not happy with its connectivity to wifi. I have to reset settings on the printer itself just to print or turn it off and on again. I shouldnt have to do this. Other Epsons didnt need to.

    Dont run out of color ink

    It was a pretty good printer until I ran out of the color ink. Once that happened it would only print 10% of the time and kept getting error messages, even though I was printing in b&W. I am pretty sure another company was sued over this exact thing.

    I have had this printer for less than a year and I hate it. If you have less than 20 or so pages in the paper tray the page feed will malfunction and you'll get two pages printed over five pieces of paper sandwiched in between 5-10 blank pages. Every. Single. Time. I have to throw away and reprint documents at least once a week. It's constantly showing error messages when I try to print or scan. The ink is expensive and lasts almost no time at all. And now, it just doesn't show up as an available printer on any of my devices (that just yesterday could print fine) despite "passing" the network check. I can no longer print anything from any device. I'm going to have to buy a new printer.

    From the time that I received my Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Printer, I was quite impressed. The printer comes with all necessary functions weather used as a at home family printer or an office based one. I used the printer for my home business while going back to school and I have been left asking for nothing more from the printer. My previous printer wasn’t wireless and only had one paper tray, upgrading to my Epson was quite nice with these features. The dual paper trays came in very handy while working on multiple projects at once. The ability to continue working and not have to stop to change out the size and types of papers that I was printing on was a huge time saver. I will say that I do wish that the printer came with a USB cable to connect as a wired printer not just wireless. The only reason I say this is that when I first received my printer I had technical difficulties with my internet provider, which made setting up my printer difficult until my issues were resolved. On that same note, having a wireless printer is incredibly helpful in allowing me to move around my house with my laptop without being tied down to my desk. The quality of the printing was impressive and I have not had any problems technical difficulties thus far. Setting up my printer was quite easy and the instructions were simple, yet clear. I feel that this printer would be a good fit for just about anyone. The size is larger than my last printer but, you have to expect that with a printer that can do everything that you ask. The only function that I have not been able to try out yet is the fax option because of my home set up. However, if it works as well as the ability to print both sides, scan, and switch between the printer trays, I have no doubt I won’t have any complaints there either. The only issue that I found was in setting up the wireless connectivity with my older computer from the cd, I had to try a few times before I was successful. When I connected to my newer computer I set it up manually and had no troubles, but there is a good chance of operator error there. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    This is kind of a "clunky" Printer/Copier, The paper feeder would always add other paper to copy so you would get may 2 inches of what you are copying on one page or the next and then the rest on the third piece of paper. Scanning tool along with Epson app you need to have is time consuming and lousy. In the end I couldn't copy anything because the display was jammed with an error message that even Epson's support couldn't help me with. The warranty expired 5/2020 so I'm out of a printer/copier this soon.

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This is the 2nd Epson printer I have owned in the last 5 years. This one was purchased in 2017. Used not more that 45 times to print and never used the scanner or copy function. And what do you know, just like the previous model this one throws an error code two and a half years after purchased. How coincidental both Epson printers turn into paperweights at 2 and a half years after ownership?!?!?

    Never buying Epson again

    Died last week, of course it was out of warranty. Lasted a little over 2 years of light usage. During the 2 years constant connectivity issues, super slow printing which requires multiple calls to tech support, hours on phone. They blamed in on Windows 10, said nothing they could do. Finally the touch screen got stuck on scanner error message. I was wondering why best buy didn't offer extended warranty on this when I purchased. Ah well, bought a new none Epson printer today at another store.

    As a small business owner, there are several items i cannot print on this printer, the soft ware is a bit challenging them most, its inconvenient. I would not recommend this product for small business.

    I signed up for automatic ink replacement when I purchased this printer, and I have spent the last two hours trying to cancel it. There is no switch, or menu item on the printer, or in the software to cancel automatic ink. No instructions on how to do it. There is no support link on their website to cancel it either. No number, or email address. I went to Best Buy and they told me I would have to contact Epson. I'm just wandering what else have they made this difficult. This is my first and last Epson.

    Do Not Buy This Printer!!! This printer was the worse printer I have ever owned. If I could have given it a lower rating I would have. As soon as I took it out of the box there were paper jams, software problems and all sorts of other issues. Also it was so hard to use it. I could not figure out how to use the scanning software. It would not link to my Mac. I never had that issue with my HP. I returned it and got an HP again.

    This is the worst printer I have ever owned!! I am constantly on the phone with "tech support"! EVERY time I try and print I get an error. I call support and after 90 minutes they have me delete and re-install the software. It will work for 2 or 3 days then it starts ALL over again!! I will NEVER buy an Epson printer AGAIN!!! Very disappointed in both the printer and the tech support.. Windows 10 fully updated operating system. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRINTER!!

    Horrible - save your money and get something else. 1. Flies through ink like you'd never believe. I had to go to multiple 3rd party sites to find the cartridges. You HAVE to buy off brand otherwise you are going to go through $100s and $100s in Epson ink. 2. The printer constantly takes multiple pages at a time. Over and over again. Not meant for any type of home office. STAY AWAY.
