My initial impression is that this is a very nice printer. Set up was easy. Print quality is very good and it has printed some nice photos which is an added plus. I like the large capacity paper drawers and the rear sheet feeder to handle photo paper and card stock. It was larger than I expected, but I've become accustomed to the size. It's not silent, but is quiet for a printer. This printer replaces another printer that was performing well, but could not keep up with the volume. It was always running out of paper and ink. Although much more expensive up front, the low price per copy, and the fact that I don't have to constantly monitor paper and change ink cartridges is a plus. This printer's ink bags should outlast five to six sets of ink cartridges in the other printer which will result in a huge savings on ink. I like the printer and am happy that I made the decision to buy it.

The printer sets up fast...Had it printing in less than an hour. great quality color photos using the rear feed. Love the three feed areas with two trays in front and the rear feed for photos or card stock. I would recommend this printer to anyone who prints in quantity or wants to save on future ink costs. GREAT MACHINE....

Once I got past my printer 'analysis paralysis' I decided to pick up an Epson printer after Epson was highly recommended by a fellow business owner. I knew I wanted the Eco-Tank technology to save a LOT of money over its lifetime on ink cartridges. I chose the biggest and best Eco-Tank model for one main reason: peace of mind. There is nothing worse than running a morning meeting with lots of folks attending....and not being able to print out an agenda, etc. So far I have been very happy with the printer and I decided to go ahead and purchase the extended warranty with Best Buy. Now, if the printer happens to break for some reason, I have additional peace of mind that I'm taken care of. The printer is very fast and much cheaper than a laser jet model when you look at total operating costs. I've had an occasional line show up on my print-outs, but I may just need to perform basic maintenance to alleviate that. Happy printing...

Bought this printer to save some $$ and time/hassle dealing with toner. Like many high volume printer users, I HATE having to deal with replacing toner that often. This printer offers a much higher volume of prints/copies before having to change the toner. I went with the largest model since I use it in an office setting and we print/copy A LOT. So far the printer has been awesome. It was super easy to set up, including the wifi, so I would HIGHLY recommend it if you're shopping for a new printer.

The printer is a big cost saver with permanent black and color print heads you just have to clean them instead of buying 100 bucks worth of stuff. In addition to the ink which will save over the long haul if you print that much.

No complaints about the printer. Prints well and fast. Software drivers a bit buggy for Win 10 and scanning software somewhat lacking. For a printer 5 stars though.

Epson asked us to try out the product in exchange for our impartial review. In giving you my opinion on the R4640. The packaging is a bit intimidating making one think they purchased a much larger product then they did however Epson is just very carefully packaging the product. It takes about five minutes to remove it from the box and remove all the blue tape from the factory carefully holding the parts in place so when they are shipped they are not damaged. You simply open 4 small boxes filled with bags of ink and you then open a compartment that allows you to simply plug in the ink bags. Being someone that does not like to read directions it was very easy to set up this machine. The quality and look of the product is very good from first impression and it was very simple to plug in the core and turn on the machine. I did have to call the Epson 800 line and they answered within two minutes and walk me through within five minutes so that I could wirelessly print from my Apple computer. I was able to set it up to fax from my Apple Computer on my own easily but had a little bit of trouble setting up the wireless computer which always seems to be a common problem with any wireless printer. The Epson customer service line was very impressive to say the least. The sound of the printer is of a typical desk jet but a bit quieter but the quality of the print is incredible and I printed a 50 page report in under 140 seconds. I have also used the scanner and the most impressive part is the Pre-scan on the screen so you know you lined it up correctly and this product is just as capable if not more than my my high-tech $10,000 2 year old copy machine in my office as this Epson product has very impressive touch screen allowing you to input in email addresses and fax # 's and names into the address book or assign them a one touch button allowing to email and fax. The touch screen is very impressive and easy to use for all the functions and buttons are well built for dialing. Basically it is extremely easy to use and easy to set up even for someone who doesn't have a lot of technical skill. You will be very happy with this Best Buy !

This is the best printer I have ever used in my entire life, perfect copies printing and scanning, couldn't ask for any better. Getting way more copies out of the bags of ink just like it was stated in the instructions than any other color printer I've ever owned .

After a very long time of purchasing different printers, I'm extremely happy with the fact that this prints 20,000 pages on one pack of ink and also the fact that the pages don't come out wet like most printers.

This does good volume. Two side printing good color. Fast sweet wireless

First of all the ink did not smear on the paper when it got wet. I could not find any review that addressed that issue- so it's better than ink jets of the past. However all the references to bright color simply mean that it will not print any darks. It totally looses all the dark values in photographs and color images. No adjustment of settings remedied this issue. The black text was a rich black. The color images were not "bright" but "weak". If you've ever used an HP Laser Jet, you will NOT like this machine. We gave it every chance to perform- even talking to customer service. If your work does not need color richness, depth, or value, you may enjoy the ease of putting the ink packs in place -very easy.

I think this is one of the best and economic printers ever produced. I purchased this for my office and will purchase one for my home.

I bought 2 of these for my non-profit and hoping to save some money as an INK. I have one smaller version for home purchase which runs fine. But these commercial one have issues with INK cartridges, even INK is in the bag it doesn't recognize and throw errors, Firmware update shows that cartridges connectors are not connected properly, cleaned everything even there is no copper rust, doesn't last as many pages as they claim (even no graphic just simple letter printings), I am glad that i bought extra warranty they helped me to return these and get my money back that i purchased a different one.

I am a second grade teacher and currently use it in my classroom. It is perfect for making extra copies at the touch of your finger tips or when you just don't have time to run up to the workroom. It also makes signs and classroom posters with vivid colors and excellent clarity. It holds an exceptional amount of ink, which is amazing for someone who uses a lot of it! Working in a very busy environment, I have always searched for a printer that is very reliable, provides high-quality print jobs and is easy to use. I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for something durable and long-lasting.

This printer is the real deal. It is a work horse that I can use for everything. The WF-R4640 churns out presentation after presentation with exacting quality and deep color. It is on the bigger side for a home printer, but is sleek and agile compared to an office printer. I would say its best in class for those that need top quality business documentation printed at satellite locations all over the country. The added bonus is not having to worry about the toner-change or ink-cartridge-change errors that consistently add stress to your day with other machines. There's deep value here. Thumbs up.

What a workhorse! I run this printer at my small business where we do everything from copying/faxing to 11x17 full color event posters and more. The printer really exceeds my expectations. It prints incredibly quickly printing 30 page documents in a flash whether its plugged directly to my computer or over wifi printing. I've used it to print 100 11x17 event posters and the quality is amazing, no need to farm this out to a print shop anymore. On top of all of this the ink lasts f o r e v e r , a large print job is but just a drop in the bucket for this thing. It handles mundane office jobs with speed and tackles our more design-intensive tasks with precise quality. My business partners and I love it! It's medium sized (think bigger than your standard freebie-with-computer-purchase printer, but not xerox machine big). It will probably take up more room than your old printer but the small amount of space you are compromising you make up for in print quality and ink-cartridge size. It fits easily in our offices and does not hog a lot of space. Setting it up was super easy and loading the ink is a breeze, I had it printing in 10 mins from set up and configured on our wifi network in seconds. Highly recommended!

I've been using the WF-R4640 for the past two weeks and have been so impressed with it so far. The color is crisp, it's so fast and it was very easy to set up. I've been burned in the past with certain printers that are not able to print on heavy card stock, but with the rear feed on the WF-R4640, I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. I really like the printer and it really interest that it use bags of ink instead of cartilages . The setup was very easy and it got a nice size screen. I think the print looks good. It a little heavy so be carefully when lifting. It a nice printer.

As our small business grows, we are continuously looking at how to optimize the workflow for our employees. At points you realize you need a larger facility, additional staff or new equipment. This particular instance meant the bottlenecks were being caused by our printer that was not able to accommodate the volume of work required. Therefore, we were forced to outsource a great deal of our printing needs. Everything from marketing to business documents. So, we immediately started to look at other printers that would allow for higher throughput, but still maintain the professional quality we had become accustomed to from our outsourced prints. In the end, we decided that the Epson WorkForce Pro was the right printer to go with. When the printer first arrived we were blown away by the size of the box. This thing is BIG! However, it unpacked easily and and was set-up very quickly. While ink installation was required, it was a quick and painless process. The ink comes in large bags that easily clip onto the printer and then are stored away out of sight. It sort of seems like an IV of for the printer :) Knowing that the printer was ready to print 20,000 black or color pages was well worth the few minutes it took to get it up and running. After powering on the printer, it took only minutes to connect it to the office network and begin printing wirelessly. Both our Windows and Mac office computers easily connected with the printer once it was on the network. With this printer from Epson, we were able to print the hundreds of marketing documents that we would previously had to outsource for, and were also able to print out high quality double sided booklets. which has helped a great deal in conserving material costs. With its ability to hold over 500 pieces of paper, and it's incredibly quick print speed (20 ISO ppm for both black and color), the Workforce Pro was able to print hundreds of high quality flyers in a matter of minutes, saving us time and money. The copy and scan function also work flawlessly. With the copies or scans being nearly indistinguishable from the originals. This all-in-one printer is a rare find seeing that it performs every task fantastically. If you are looking for a great printer for your small business, your search just ended! Setup was incredibly easy and have been really impressed with ability to print from mobile devices. This printer is used for both business and home purposes with a very high workload.
