Right out of the box Right out of the box, the first thing that you will notice with this printer is the size and weight. It really is small and light. It measures 2.5 X 12.2 X 6.1 inches (HWD) and only weighs 3.5 pounds. It is most definitely portable. It is fairly sleek. The design is pretty standard. There is a minidisplay that functions as the control panel. It is not touchscreen. Its controlled with arrow keys and an ok button. Pretty standard stuff for an Epson. The paper tray is a 20-sheet. Nothing too big. Anything more and it will jam. If you're printing more than 20 pages, be prepared to babysit. Battery In order to use the printer cordlessly, you have to charge it. Epson claims if you use the included AC adapter, it takes about 2.5 hours. If you charge it on USB, it will take about 10 hours. From my own use, I would say the 2.5 hours was pretty accurate. I did not try to charge using a USB connection. On a full charge, the battery can go through about 100 monochrome pages or 50 color pages. Connectivity You can connect wirelessly. It has 802.11 b/g/n capability. You can also use Wifi Direct. You can also connect directly to a PC with USB 2.0. There are a variety of options to print with a mobile device that I will not get into. The cloud is a vast place. You can also print using the various voice assistants. I did not test this function. Printing The printer can print at a whopping rate of 6.7 pages a minute for monochrome and 3.5 for color. In other words, it is super slow. I didn't exactly time the printer, but real world usage actually seemed slower. Pictures were even slower. I would not count on the WF 110 for a speedy job. Despite this, the print jobs were always solid. The documents came out with clear and crisp text. The colors were solid and uniform. Photos were decent. I wouldn't use this primarily for pictures but it did a decent job. The costs This is separate from the up front cost of the printer. Looking online, the cost of printing one page comes out to 9 cents a page for black pages and 18 cents a page for color. In case you didn't know, these are on the high end for printers. This is assuming that the cartridges last their advertised amount. The cartridges are supposed to last 250 black pages and 200 color pages. However, real world usage seems to be different. It is most definitely running out much faster than advertised. So be aware your mileage may vary. In addition, the colors are in one cartridge. If you use one color more than another, then you still have to replace the whole color cartridge. Summary Ultimately, the selling point of these printers is the portability factor. You can print quality documents while on the move. You do pay quite a bit of a premium per page for this. If you want a printer that is faster, cheaper to use in the long term or can print long documents, then this isn't the one.

    MAJOR ISSUES

Major Issues and too expensive. My wife was traveling over seas for work and needed a printer. Even though this was expensive we thought it would fit her needs. We tested the printer before she left and seemed to work fine. Once she got to her hotel overseas we immediately had issues. It has been a series of errors that we can't resolve and unfortunately she will be at that location for the next six months. Some of the issues are: can't detect the cartridge some times, it says the printer heads have to be replaced even though we have only printed about six pages since we go the printer. It also has connection errors. The error about the printer head makes it so it won't print at all. She ended up having to go to a store overseas and purchase another printer. By the time she returns the warranty will be expired and we will just be out the $250.
