i received this printer from epson to beta test and provided unbiased review. upon receiving the printer i immediately unboxed it and started to set it up. instructions were right on top, easy to read and follow. the only issue i ran into during set up was it not recognizing the ethernet cable and was only able to set it up wirelessly. i am not sure if it was a cable issue or printer but honestly it was no problem as i had no delay from the time i clicked the print button and the response from the printer. after using the printer for a week i have no complaints. for the money it is a great printer and does exactly what it says it will do. i have had no other issues aside from the ethernet cable. the speed of the printer is what i would have expected and the two sided printing worked perfectly. overall i would highly recommend it. it is all you will need in a home or small business office for day to day printing needs.

The worst printer I've ever used.

This printer has had so many problems and glitches that I would never purchase another Epson product again- luckily this was given to me as a gift because I would never purchase this for anyone. The print que often gets jammed and I cannot clear the list, so I have to turn the printer and my laptop off and back on- usually multiple times to get it to print. And now the printer has somehow gained a mind of its own and won't print certain pages for no reason- which is extremely frustrating when I need to print something for class. Right before writing this review it printed every page of my lab except for page 5, and no matter what it will not print it (and this is after I have done everything I can think of, including turning it off/on 6 separate times. Also, the pages all print slightly crooked no matter what. It's so frustrating because this printer functioned perfectly fine for a couple of months, and now it's just one problem after the next. Save yourself the frustration and late night panics because your printer doesn't work and just buy something nicer than this piece of junk.

    OK for the price

It is an inexpensive printer and it shows. It prints OK (I only used it once) so time will tell. The owners manual is not at all user friendly. I had to call tech support because it did not print. It turned out one of my selection in the paper setup had to be changed. There was no warning in the setup about it.

Epson has been making better than average WorkForce Printers for quite a few years now. The Epson WorkForce WF-2630 All-In-One Wireless Color Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax is another model that gives you better than average performances on everything overall.

    Not Intuitive Setup

Large footprint. Buttons are not intuitive. No USB port for flash drive to save scans. Can only save to the cloud or email. WiFi set up did not "take" the first time. Print quality ok. Would not recommend.

    STAY AWAY from this printer

I bought this printer about a year and a half ago. Shame on me for buying this printer and shame on me for not keeping the receipt. We BARELY use this printer and I recently got a new job that requires me to do more printing at home. I dusted this thing off and realized that it still had the initial ink cartridges in it. As soon as I turned it on it said I needed to replace the black ink cartridge - no big deal. As soon as I got back from the store and installed in a new message told me that the color cartridges needed to be replaced - no big deal. I had to take care of clearing the message out and replace them before the printer would even attempt to print a test page. I got back from the store again and attempted to print a test page - paper jam. I cleared out the entire printer, reset it, reset the computer, searched for new drivers on the internet, reinstalled the current driver and it wouldn't work so I THEN called Epson support. I got nowhere. I explained my situation and said I am willing to pay the difference in the price to UPGRADE to a better Epson since it was a requirement for my new job and all they did was offer a 15% discount and a cartridge of ink for free. To me this wasn't enough. Yes the printer was out of warranty, yes I didn't keep the receipt but it had the original ink cartridges in there for a year and a half ago. That tells you how little it was used. I tried to explain that I shunk $80 into the printer itself a year and a half ago and then another $40 in ink cartridges and it seemed to me from a common sense standpoint that my request was within reason. To me it would be common courtesy to replace the printer, replace the ink and have me pay out of pocket if I was asking for an upgrade. Nope. After being transferred 3 different times and after I asked for a call back to reconsider my situation I'm still waiting for my call to be returned - one week after the promise was made for the call back. Terrible product, terrible customer service from Epson. It's that simple. STAY AWAY!!!

    Ink HOG!

Worst purchase that I've ever made!!! I purchased this printer to print B&M invoices and receipts. After the included ink cartridge ran out, I purchased a black XL cartridge but the unit wouldn't print because I didn't replace the color cartridges which I never used. I bought the color ink and installed. Two weeks later the printer reported that I was out of ink.......after printing 25 single page documents. Bought refilled set off of net. Printer refused them. Bought new XL cartridges and installed. They lasted one week and the printer again reported that it was out of ink. Printer was promptly disconnected and thrown into the trash. Then bought Canon. No problem since!

    ADF is a joke

This is a very outdated printer, with small cartridges that you need to change very often, and with VERY slow and unreliable 30-page auto document feeder. It cannot take more than 15 pages at once, it jamps all the time, it is a nightmare to use it. Very uncomfortable and extremely complicated screen for manual programming of this very outdated, I would say ancient time printer

So i was very happy with this printer but.... so i print in mostly black and very little color. So how that the color cartilages are empty it will not let me even print in all black. Its just a way to make you buy the color when you really dont need them... Will never by epson again.

I own an Epson 7620. It's one of the worst printers you can buy. Need to throw it away; having issues with the cartridges.
