Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly. From time to time, Epson updates its firmware to ensure the printer operates as designed. Unfortunately, tray one is the tray that can handle various sizes while tray two holds letter size. The default settings don't help to keep everything printing to letter on tray two unless tray one is specified. Need to have drivers that can specify which tray to print from or allow the user to place custom sizes/paper in tray two so letter can be in tray one.
