excellent printer, very easy connection/set up works perfectly

Purchased 3 for my business. 2 printers continued to go offline. None of the printers would correctly print a #10 envelope. Epson told me to call the developer. The printer's were finicky and it seems there's a software communication issue causing the printer to prompt the user every time you send something to it.

Mine was defective right out of the box. It would not complete the set up process . No mention of this in the reviews on BB, but you go to a competitors website and you'll find a third if not more of the reviewers claiming this exact same issue... I returned this printer for a HP OJ8710 that works wonderfully.

Geek Squad on the way. When printer is on, Apple mobile devices cannot connect to household DSL CenturyLink internet broadband. When printer is off, devices work fine.

Purchased this in Mar of 2015. Received error code 0x97. Call to epson says its internal hardware issue and needs replaced/repaired. Out of warranty and price to repair is more than original purchase price. Epson quality is poor and will not purchase from them again. Avoid this printer.

You really couldn't ask for much more for $99. It has a document feeder, multiple paper trays, supports photo printing (although it's merely ok at this, not fantastic) and even has a fax to boot! Setup is super easy as it supports WPS for wifi (2.4ghz only) so you just push a button on your router and your printer and it's set up. Scanning via wifi is super easy too. I'm using it on a mac and it's painless to use. It comes with a very small amount of ink as standard so you'll need to buy new cartridges fairly quickly, make sure to get the XL ones if you do a lot of printing.

I purchased this printer and for the first couple of months it worked. Now my printer is not working and it wasn't a year old. I didn't use the printer every day or every week and it's still broken. The cost of fixing it is also the price of purchasing another.

But uses way to much ink and the refill is expensive

Never worked from day one. Epson replacing.kept on showing paper jam, but no jam occurred. Had great difficulty contacting Epson. Eventually on the 4 th attempt, Epson was contacted and by trouble shooting over the phone they concluded the Epson printer was faulty.

Its not great for travel as the wifi set up sucks.

Epson WF 3640 had complete hardware failure within weeks of setting it up; their tech people determined it was unfixable. Epson Customer service was not a good experience or helpful. taking this back for a refund and going back to HP, it's noisy, but works!

Heads were constantly misaligned and eventually they became clogged and the self cleaning feature did not work. I decided it wasn't worth the money to repair it, especially since it never did a very good job printing anyway.

It was working okay for the first few weeks but then started creating problems. It shows paper jam prompt more often whenever there is no paper jam as well as the printer is clogged. It is literally a trash. never ever buy it.

I had a WF-7620 which crapped out after 9 months, then I bought this WF-3640, which would not initialize so I had to exchange it with another WF-3640 which would only cause paper jams. Needless to say I took it back and will never buy an EPSON again!

Amazing printer for the price. Auto duplexes for double sided printing, and no problems connecting WiFi. My old CMYK laser AIO Samsung XPress would never connect wirelessly and constantly paper jammed. The setup experience with this Epson was so easy and made perfect sense! Online and connected in under 10 minutes. All though inkjet, this printer is pretty amazing. I looked for some well reviewed OEM ink so we'll see how that goes, cheap cheap on eBay! One of the deciding factors for me in buying this printer was the card stock feeder in the back for special jobs. I also like that it's cased in black instead of traditional white, which always shows dirt. The backlit color touch screen is nice and overall noise is pretty low. Scanner does a good job. Best printer I've owned in years, and just under $100 dollars. My last two color lasers both ended up keeling over after about two years. I bought the extended warranty, which only costs $9 bucks a year, no big deal. So if it dies, I'll get a new one, hopefully it won't. Prints fast and new ink technologies with inkjet give you smudge free prints. Hi yield ink backups should keep me printing for a long time, since I tend to print quite a bit. Nice printer!

Printer is discontinued on Epson.com. This was a replacement for my first printer (same model) that stopped printing. When setting this one up it had a configuration issue. I believe this printer might’ve been refurbished.

This was my first Epson printer and my last. It was difficult and confusing to set up. I was using it wirelessly, but everytime I tried to print, I had to reconnect it to my computer or iPad, a long process. It was on sale, but it was no bargain.

It worked great for about 11 months. A waste of money. It just stopped printing and all I get now is an error message. According to the internet my motherboard went out which is common for this brand of Epson printers.Smh.

One of the worst purchases I ever made...the Epson printer did not work well at first, then just got worse and worse. Could not read the print...I think it was defective to begin with. Very disappointed with it.
