easy to use and loud sound for alert. Very accurate

The thermometer does it's job very well. I like that you can leave it in your meat while it is in the oven, grill, smoker, etc. Will make life so much easier in monitoring the temperature. Only downside is that the set up and changing from Celsius (which is the default) to Fahrenheit, is not intuitive and you need to read the directions repeatedly in order to do it. Otherwise, you can be like me and just cook in Celsius. Truth is, when the meat's done, it's done, regardless of whether the thermometer says 175 or 80, or whatever. The thermometer tells you when it is ready.

Good thermometer for specific functions such as oven roasting or barbecuing large pieces of meat. Easy to read. Accurate.

So far so good.. keep accurate temp and simple to use. Only downfall is probe gets hot when moving in and out of meat.

Very reliable temperature readings. Can't set the defaults. It starts in Centigrade mode.

I have been looking for a food thermometer with a probe that could go in the oven and with a cord that would not brake easily. I also wanted a digital thermometer that I could set on the counter. This item fits my needs. Good quality thermometer. The cord is steel braided so should be able to last long. We have been using it for checking the temperature when cooking meat in the oven and making yogurt. The body of the thermometer has magnets and the cord is quite long which is really convenient. The only con, as mentioned by others, is that it is not easy to switch to °F, which is not a big issue.

Bought Escali-Touch Screen thermometer for barbecue and have been using it regularly, I like that i can check the temperature without opening the oven.

This seems to display the temperature accurately enough but I would rather be able to set my target temp manually instead of using their presets.

It is a little frustrating switching from C to F I at one smoke just did a google search for the conversion and left it on C. Works pretty good.

It works okay, a bit confusing to use and read, but overall the temperature works.

It is important to read the instructions for this item; there is nothing intuitive about the controls. It works well once I followed the instructions.
