I like the directional indicator. My first trip was 800 miles round trip. I was alerted to about 10 radar traps during the entire trip. The product worked well. I upgraded the firmware and DB before my trip. The new version of the update software did not work on my detector but the older version worked without any problems. Escort hardware is great but their software is second rate. Lucky we don’t need to use their software much.

I can pin speed traps, or be alerted about them. It had a button on the plug to silence the beeping, if it’s been going off for a bit. This is my second one. I gave my first one away, after I got rid of my sports car. Now that I have another one, the first stop I made after getting my car was getting this.

Best for the money

While driving at low speed just around town, the housing suddenly broke and the detector fell down. I returned it to best buy well after the original 30 day policy, the gratefully credited me for it and I upgraded. I love the directional arrows, so worth the money. No more looking around and wondering. Range had to be close to half mile, leaving plenty of time to slow down. Minimal false alarms.
