Horrible product and worse customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mounted it once and used the Max 360 one time, then it exploded and blew apart. I contacted Escort customer service and received and email back asking for a copy of a receipt, which I promptly sent and 10 days later no response. You would think you would get a better product and better customer service for the price paid.

Junk
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.650.00 piece of junk. My girlfriend was taken advantage of by the sales person at Best Buy. They lied and told her this was a new model which it is not. At least 4 years old. I should go back slam the sales persons head in the counter. But I won’t. Very disappointed.

Disappointing product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keeps shutting off and needs to be turned back! Had to return for refund.

Posted .It is possible there is an issue with your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket not providing enough power to the detector. If the replacement also does the same thing then try plugging it into another vehicle to determine if there is an issue with your vehicle's lighter socket.

Posted .Try pressing the power button. Sometimes, especially after a firmware update, you may need to press the power button to turn it on. Also try in another vehicle to ensure there isn't an issue with your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. If the issue continues, contact us at 800-543-1608 M-F 9:00AM-5PM EST. Poor quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only the Detects radar when it's right up on you. Only sounds off when you can see the radar

Posted .Police radar should be detected from quite far away, a mile or more in most circumstances. Laser is point and shoot technology using a narrow laser beam. Due to the narrow beam it is difficult to detect unless you are the target and at distances of 1/4 mile or less. If the detector is not detecting police radar at long distances then it may require servicing. For further assistance, contact us at 800-543-1608.

A Deal at the Lowered Price 464
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used on my trip Boston, MA to Williams in a red corvette convertible. It detected both speed traps on route 2 very accurately and well in advance. And the in-motion radar they use sometimes when they drive. It also detects stationary signs like: "Your Speed Is" and "Construction Ahead" (weird that those are radar you). False positives come from nearby cars with lane change IR radar, but just hit the MUTE button to silence them. Once in a while I'll get a sourceless radar signal in the same place - maybe from a really powerful IR radar motion detector floodlight? and some CVS automatic door radar seems to set it off as you drive by. I was going to return it to get a K40 under hood detector/jammer that plugs direct into my Kenwood, but I just love how easy this is to use and with the 25$ hard wire power cord outsiders can barely see it under the rear view even when the roof is down. I put a black tape over the Escort logo to be more discreet and deter theft. I got the 70$ 2 year coverage which allows return during that period to get your money back (minus the 70 of course). But I like this so much because you can use it in rental cars also! Oh, and I even DROPPED it on concrete and the face plate popped off. I put it back and it continues to work flawlessly. I bought mine for 700$ (including the extra 70 and sales tx) and it's still a deal. I don't see what the difference the new 360c is besides wireless connect. Everyone's got a laptop, right? Plugging a USB wire to update the detector is no big. Good luck and have fun!

Best Upgrade...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Escort radar detectors since i was 18... The last one i had was a Escort 8500 X50 (Red Display.) I decided to upgrade to the newest and most expensive one. Man was I ever impressed with the new filters and being able to use Escort Radar Live app with it. Well that is awesome. Also being able to update the data base inside the detector using the windows program was a huge plus also. I have had it now for a week and couldn't be happier! It is a lot of money but I got them to price match.. So it only set me back $500... But even full price it is worth it. I have a 2008 350z that is my daily driver and i drive 48 miles round trip to work and back. The speed limit is 70, but I'm usually moving around 90 if traffic is light. So definitely use every day. Thanks Escort for a great product!!!

Easy to use, but very powerful.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had experience with multiple radar detectors for many years and this is by far the easiest to setup and go detector I have ever used. It is easily configured with your phone and then you have a lifetime subscription to their escort live service with other radar detector users. I have already had a detection of over 1 mile away in a difficult scenario. Auto learning is also one of the best features this detector offers for a hands free approach. The more you drive the quieter it gets.

Did Not Live Up to Expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was in love with this radar detector, because of the capability of letting you know what direction the radar was coming from. I did a comparison with my 10 year old Beltronics 965. I had both attached to the dash at the same time. The big problem with the escort is it has too many false alerts and it was very annoying. When you have the escort connected to the cell by Bluetooth, it picks up the current speed limit in the area you are driving and also shows you your current speed and lets you know your going over the limit. But if you are talking on the phone on the car whenever it gets an alert it comes over the speakers and interrupts the call. Both radar detectors did pick up the same signals. The reason I was interested in the escort was the ability to let you know the direction the radar was coming from. Over time the escort is supposed to learn which alerts were false and over time would diminish. I used it for more than thirty days and the false alerts seemed to increase. In my opinion the escort is not worth the money with all the false alerts and because of this, I returned it. I will continue to use my old faithful Beltronics until escort comes out with something new and improved or I read that they have corrected the issue.

Awesome Detector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had over 7 detectors and this one is the BEST ever... I have had Maxon, Uniden, then Beltronics and Escort 8500 X50, 9500IX, Max 2. None come close to this one. The first 3 days it was a little chatty until it learned my daily commute and could filter out the false alerts. The rear reception is superior to either the 9500ix and Max 2, also detectors which are excellent. This one is just better and the arrows help keep you abreast as to where the threat comes from. After the 3rd day I made a commute home with 0 false alerts. Amazing... Do the update and configure first and enjoy.

Improvements needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a previous released ESCORT. The controls are set at maximum for both brightness and sound, neither rise to the level of the previous model. Hard to hear on a less than smooth highway and during the midday brightness. Needs to be improved. Also the devise rides low on a slanted windshield approximately 3.5 feet from the drivers vision. The size of the font on the display is smaller than before and therefor hard to read the screen from a setting position. If the sound and brightness were better this wouldn't be an issue. My old ESCORT was better from that perspective. Has saved me many tickets. In spite of my critic its a must if you put on a lot of miles.
