Strongly Not Recommended - Poor Performance and Mi

Despite its high price, it fails to deliver on its core promises as a radar detection system. The primary issues are: · Unreliable Functionality: The application's GPS-based warning system is fundamentally broken. It provides no audible or visual alerts for actual speed traps and radar locations. I passed three known enforcement areas, and the app remained completely silent each time. · Lack of Critical Features: The app does not display crucial information that is standard in other detectors, such as signal strength or radar type. · Poor Value: This is one of the most expensive radar detector apps on the market, yet it offers no professional-grade features or reliable performance. The application simply does not work as advertised. For the price, consumers should look for an alternative app with a proven track record or invest in a dedicated hardware radar detector. This app is not worth the money. Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To start with the pros, the 360 is slimmer that other high end radars, the app allows you to easily change all the settings available. It is quieter that most detectors, and the WiFi option for updates is also great. The Cons compared to my R3, and R7 this radar does not have the quickness and range those do, I am however referring more to the R7. This thing will constantly drop the connection with the driving app and after only 5 months of ownership the front sensor stopped working. Cedar Electronics is who you go through for warranty claims and their customer services is even worse than the radar. I will never purchase escort again, I have owned a valentine, Uniden R3, and R7 and those performed exceptionally better.

It continued to give me false pop alerts. I attempted to turn it off, but it would still go off. I went with Uniden. Much better results.

False POP alerts can typically be resolved by turning off POP detection in the detector’s Preferences menu, and we recommend keeping it off unless you know it’s actively used in your area since it can affect overall performance. If you're detector still picks up some falses, the Max 360c MKII offers band segmentation and other settings in place to help rectify this. We’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations and appreciate you giving it a try.
Not worth the money

And the app only correctly works with the device if you leave the app running with it in the app. The background feature doesn't work very well or none at all.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were not impressed with MAX 360c MKII. It sounds like they were using laser at these speed traps. Laser can be difficult to detect far in advance due to its narrow laser beam and selective targeting of suspected speeding vehicles. Because the front plate and headlights are what is targeted, for best laser detection performance mount the detector low on your windshield. To have the Drive Smarter app refresh while in the background, make sure Background App Refresh is turned on in the settings menu.

You're detector will provide an alert if radar/laser is being used. You also want to make sure you are mounting the detector higher up on the windshield, centered, and away from any obstructions.
