Bought this for a cross-state trip and after reading the quick setup guide, it was pretty easy to get started. It gives plenty of warning and even picks up the signal from the road-side speed monitors. A few times it went off and we never could find the source, but better safe than sorry. Several times though, it went off and a car would pass us a minute later. Of course, we didn't buy this to speed, but on a 5-hour drive each way and a broken cruise control :-( it was helpful to keep us in check.

Radar should reach approximately 2-3 miles according to what I was told but notifies less than a mile. Just enough time to break once you hear it beep.

Aware of your speed while you're on the road. 9500ix is the best radar/laser detector you can buy. although price is a bit high it is worth it.

For the money you can't beat it. Especially how it can recognize false alarms and keep them from coming up all the time

Haven't used it much but has very good so far. When it beeps you better slow down because your on radar. Very nice.

After having owned a half dozen different detectors over the last 15 years or more including uniden, whistler, and beltronics. This is the best one so far it has already saved me from a couple of fixed camera locations that i did not see and I love the distance to camera countdown it gives you. Also really like the real speed display on the unit. The current pricing in my local store is better than the online price, so make sure you compare before laying down your money.

This is my second 9500ix. I like the built in gps feature. And it helps avoid false alarms.

Haven't had a radar detector in a while. This one works great and easy to use.

I purchased this Detector after, reviewing all models. This was the better model of all I read about. It gives very early warning and is very loud on normal volume. The ONLY CON would be, It needs to come with a straight power cord to be wired in direct.

I use it a lot since I have a 12 hr drive to work, it really helps a lot... I do recommend it if u have a long drive ahead of u...

This is a great radar, that does work very well. I would recommend turning off the speedalert pretty useless feature.

It detects, it learns and it talks! Keeps the tickets away. Well worth the steep price!

Overall well worth the buy! Great price and just as good as the Valentine! Very few false alerts and best thing is you can program alerts that you don't want on your regular commuted areas.

Like this unit Has few more detection options then my old Cobra. Mount does not stay on window in cold temps.

Good unit but still goes off occasionally in areas that have been marked as a false alarm. Much better and less noisy than my old 8500x50 though. I'd def buy it again.

I had one for my car. Bought this for my wife. Works well. Will remember repetitive signals and block them out.

Works great, will annoy you at times with false alarms but overall its a must have if your a speeder like me!!

I grabs this quick for a long weekend packed of travel from states to states. Paid for itself in 1 weekend !!!

Very pleased with my Escort Passport 9500ix Radar Dector. Especially like the nuisance false alert cancellation.
