A great concept that fails miserably. This detector is like a blind deaf watch dog. The dog would only be aware of a burglar if it gets its tail stepped on. That is the way this detector is. It only goes off when the cop is right on top of you and then this dog of a machine starts yowling like crazy. This isn't due to 'instant-on' radar, as it does the same thing when it approaches store door-openers. It is simply a terrible product.

Last one I bought was 20 years ago and this one I bought because its battery operated. No wires and it picks up lazor.

Constant rear view mirror k-band alerting. Rattles on windshield, due to mount. Falsed so much on k-band I felt better with the whole darn thing off. Save your money, tap on another 75.00 and go with the solo 4, due to filtering alone.

This is a great working product. Wished it was a little smaller and lighter.

Great product haven't had it long enough to set up all the features just yet, but I expect to keep it for many years to come.

This was an easy review - terrible Installed the batteries and wouldn't turn on - put different batteries in and still didn't work I expect more from a Escort product - now I gotta take it back I'll look for another one and hopefully it will work

I have a 9500ix in another vehicle. No comparison between those two. Battery operation is all I have used and it is really close to the source before it activates as other reviews have stated, but that is the trade off for mobility I guess.

Awesome CORDLESS radar detector. Can take from vehicle to vehicle with no cords. Great range too.

Great for young drivers. Insurance is high enough, don't need tickets to increase the rates.

Battery does not last nearly as long as they advertise. It's great not have the cord running over your dashboard but batteries must be replaced every 4 weeks or so.
