This phone, by the father of android, is really good. Sure it had issues but every update it has received has made this phone better. The addition of the android p beta makes it even better.

This is a nice phone with no contract . very well made

this was one of the best phones I had. There are minor common android glitches. Not an essential phone problem just android being android.

This phone is serviceable at its new price point, but I can't believe they initially had it listed for $700. The camera is mediocre at best, it has a lot of stutter and lag, and just a lot of random glitches. With that being said its a beautiful device with premium materials. I'd only recommend it if you can get it on sale.

This is one of the best phones that I have ever owned in my life. I have owned a lot of phones in my lifetime and this phone is must have and the updates are on point also.

One of the best android phones you get now in days. Get the latest updates and works with all carrier and very durability. So far i brought three of those devices.

I absolutely love the Essential phone. I have freedom to load what I want, I don't have the stupid apps preloaded that I will never use. The camera is phenomenal.

I'd give this phone 5 stars, but I don't know what the future holds for Essential beyond the promised 2-year update window. The build quality, hand-feel / heft and aesthetic of this phone are outstanding. It's lightning fast, not janky at all as previously written...kudos to the Essential team but they HAD to fix this. Camera....probably not as good as my Zeiss-lensed Lumia 930, but good enough for my purposes. To me, LCD the screen is great. People saying it's not bright enough in sunlight are being too picky I think...this seems fine. Would I have bought this at $550 to $700? Probably no...I think there are better options if money is no object. But at $449 I grabbed it. If they didn't lower it to that level I probably would have went with the OnePlus 5T or Nokia 8. I really preferred W8/10 on my Lumia 930, but Microsoft destroyed their phone business...the apps are just too substandard and scarce to deal with any longer. It's a shame too because imo the operating system is more private, intuitive and efficient, and I loved Live Tiles. Oh well, goodbye Microsoft. BTW, how do you Android users tolerate all these pop-ups? I've got pop-up blocker enabled but still... it's horrible. I don't remember it being this bad on Kit-Kat. Am I missing a setting somewhere? On Windows phone you don't have those... ever.

This phone had a great feel. It feels like phones that cost 2 times more. It constantly has updates and everything is snappy

No logos,smooth screen, battery last long. It was just the phone I was looking for.

I used to be a Samsung only person but this phone has changed that. Love this phone!
