Really nice phone, runs smoothly, looks excellent and feels excellent, really glad I went with something new that doesn't have a bunch of extra pre loaded stuff I don't want like Samsung you get to customize it yourself.

A great alternative to the pixel 2, while giving you stock Android the feel of the phone is great but is super slippery. I also found that the screen would engage while in my pocket. But the phone ran like a champ on ATT like I was on my home wifi. This phone is a win.

Did a lot of research and comparisons on all price points and features of phones before purchasing. Decided the Essential PH-1 unlocked was the best value for what I wanted and needed. Very happy with my phone. Was even happier when I picked it up and the nice gentleman that activated it for me was really excited about the phone, said that everyone he knew that had one loved it and that he also wanted one.

The Essential Phone did not get great reviews by the press, but the price came way down after the initial introduction and I think it is a great value. I've used it for several months now and I'm very happy. Essential has released several updates to the camera and it is much improved. The best phone for consistent security updates within a few days of release. Battery life is also much improved after Oreo 8.1 update. Top-tier phone for mid-tier price.

I thought Axon 7 was best phone. But with the 128GB of storage in this phone and speed of data use, I find this phone better. I so hope more peop,e will buy so the free updates continue to come forever. This phone is definitely worth the price, does all that any $900 phone does but with more storage space.

Don't believe all the negative early reviews. This phone is quality in build and service. Initially, the biggest problem was with the camera. Fortunately, this was a software issue and has been vastly improved with regular camera app updates. Essential has also been right on top of monthly security system updates. Shortly, the Oreo update should be available OTA. The display and speed of the phone are fantastic! I'm also blown away by the build quality. The phone is heavier than most but this just validates the quality of materials used IMO. At it's current price, there isn't a better phone available.

Essential Phone is great, the display and the performance is really good. I Recommend this phone if you can't afford the Google pixel 2 or Xl 2, The camera is good, it can get better, but for the normal person who takes a decent amount of pictures, this is awesome.

Well built and feels good in the hand. Phone is lag free and runs smooth. Only issue is its signal is horrible. Constantly switches between a signal and roaming.

This cellphone is top of the line, I have been comparing the essential LTE to iPhone X and I came up with the conclusion that Essential LTE is the best ,cheap and fastest.

I have waited to write my review when you first get a phone it usually takes you sometime to get used to it. When I purchased this phone I never had seen the phone before I was going on what I had read online and seen in videos. I purchased the phone from Best buy they had them at the time I purchased it. When you hold this phone in your hand it feels like you are holding something of great quality it is solid the phone even feels cool to the touch even after hours of use it never gets hot . The best quality phone in my opinion . After 4 weeks with the phone I can say there is very little to complain about performance is outstanding fast smooth ,not sure why it got such bad reviews. Now for the few things I don't like , The cameras getting better but not that bad it's got a wonderful portrait mode that is really cool , and work's wonders lol I look a few days younger , and I quess it could have had a headphone jack but they do give you the adapter in the box .I just leave it connected to my earbuds. I think that there many of phones out there this is something different and that's what I like the most job well done Essential I paid $500 for the phone.

I began looking at this phone due to the astronomical cost of a new one these days. This phone has decent memory and the battery life does well. I'm glad that I went with this one rather than spending three times as much on a different "brand name phone".

I love this phone so far tbh and I came from an iphone. The screen is beautiful and the speaker is actually pretty loud but doesn't have good base. Phone calls work great and what's best is that I can take this to any carrier and it will work. The only downside about this phone is the camera! It's not terrible bit not great it's just their. If you take a picture at the right angle maybe it comes out good but at night don't even think about using it. Battery life is actually really good I'm surprised. Still I think the price of 499 is still to much. Maybe 399 would be better. I also love that the it runs stock android. But I also have issues with the phone showing bad reception it will go from 2 bars to no bars but still showing LTE it's trnage cause everything works fine with the service just the bars are a bit crazy. Could be a software thing. I've exchanged the phone multiple times thinking it was an issue with my phone but turns out not to be. I really do recommend this phone it's not bad at all. The reason I gave it an average review is because the camera seems slow if you move a but the picture comes out blurry. Photos look grany the camera just isn't good compared to an iphone. As well with my other issue is that apps like Pandora don't seem to be updated for this type of display so it seems to cut of. Dosent affect anything with the app just when you try to click on the back button it brings down the notification menu. Anyone still hestiant about this phone I recommend getting it overall it's great device depsite it's flaws. Updates are always coming in to fix issues which is great. At first I was going for the blackberry key 2 but I think the price for that device is way to much.

I purchased this phone to convert my mom from expensive, slow w/age iPhones to the Android ecosystem. The phone is built like a tank and has great feel in the hand. The screen is bright and having more real estate than her iPhone 6 makes it easier to consume content. Wish it had some kind of water resistant/proof rating. Bought it on sale and it was a great investment as the phone has continuously gotten Android updates faster than any of my Samsung phones. Camera could be a little bit better, but works for day to day snaps.
