Customers commend the eufyCam 2 for its excellent camera quality, long battery life, and ease of setup. Positive feedback also highlights the system's effective night vision and convenient local storage option, eliminating the need for cloud subscriptions. However, some users reported inconsistencies with the motion detection feature, suggesting areas for potential improvement. The system's motion detection sometimes fails to capture events or experiences delays in recording.

Good thing about this security system is very convenient with the app to monitor my house ,easy set up and no monthly subscription fees, however, sometimes the camera missed capturing/ missed recording when there was someone entering my house. Sensitivity was set to the highest already. Every time I need to turn off then turn it back on in order to make it works. So I am not quite satisfied with this camera. .

If used in a location that doesn’t see frequent traffic (less then 10 hits a day) I think I will reach or exceed the rated batter life.

Care Free Wireless

I have had my share of mobile security cameras. I have used them not only for personal security but I also use them to watch over rescue cats that enjoy being inside of an enclosure (a ‘catio’) at a local shelter or to figure out what is getting into my trash bins in the middle of the night.
One issue with mobile cameras is that they need to be charged eventually. Depending on where the cameras are located and mounted, it can be a chore to climb up, remove the cameras, and then charge them for several hours only to climb back up, mount them again and then make sure they are positioned correctly. Then there is the inevitable issue of the batteries inside the mobile camera. Like any rechargeable battery, they will lose their potency over time and will need to be replaced.
When I became aware of EufyCam 2, I was more than anxious to use them. Not only are they wireless and can be used INDOORS or OUTDOORS but they will last a YEAR on a single charge! This alleviates the subconscious worry of “When was the last time I charged the cameras?” My previous wireless cameras had to be charged every couple of months initially but as their internal batteries got older, the need for charging became once a month.
The setting up of the two cameras is relatively easy. The cameras are pretty much ready out of the box but I still charged them to a full 100% before mounting mine. I also have to mention that you need to select the EufyCam Two option through the app when pairing the cameras to the Home Base. I mention this because I kept selecting EufyCam One, thinking that it meant ‘camera one’ when it meant the model of camera. Knowing this will save you the confusion that I briefly experienced.
The clarity of these cameras is incredible. Through the companion Eufy app, you will be impressed at how clean the images are. I mention this because, with my previous wireless cameras, the video feedback through their respecting app was sort of grainy. Even the night vision has impeccable detail that I wouldn’t have expected from a wireless camera.
The field of vision is wider than I expected and I welcome this because my neighbor recently had his garbage cans vandalized. I reviewed the footage that was recorded with my wired camera and I couldn’t see what had happened. I decided to place the Eufy camera in the exact place as the previous camera and the view widened a noticeable amount where I would’ve easily identified the vandal had they been recorded via the Eufy camera.
The camera mounts use STRONG magnets that will take whatever mother nature might throw at them just short of a hurricane. That said, you can swivel the cameras into the correct position without a struggle. If you are going to use these cameras as a means to secure your residence, I recommend that you keep the cameras out of reach of potential criminals. Speaking of unwanted guests, the Eufy cameras have Motion Detection along with two-way audio. This means that if the Motion Detection alerts you to activity, you can open the app and see who has set them off. This can be handy to tell the UPS delivery person to set the packages in a specific location or you can tell an intruder that they’re being recorded and you’ve notified the police. You cannot be too careful these days. Other cameras will have motion detection as well but they’ll alert your phone to almost EVERY motion that they pick up such as a cat, dog, etc. The Eufy has a setting that differentiates humans and animals. You can also set the sensitivity to the kind of motion that can activate motion detection.
Here’s another cool feature; when you are notified about motion detection, there’s a thumbnail image of the person/object that caused the triggering of the camera! I think this could prove itself useful when having to review recorded history.
No service fees! Eufy doesn’t charge you to access the footage. I had a camera that tried to upsell me on additional online storage. It was annoying to see these pop-ups within their app. The Eufy has 16GB of storage with no cloud storage fees. This a VERY welcomed feature to me.
There’s also an alarm that is built into the Home Base. The alarm can prove to be useful if you don’t have your phone/device near you and someone or something sets of motion detection on one of the cameras. The Home Base will loudly sound off. I would suggest that the Home Base be positioned in a room or a hallway where it can be heard easily since the alarm sound wasn’t loudly audible in a closed-off room.
Finally, more than one person can access cameras through the app as long as your main account holder send the other person an invite to download the app. This can be convenient in a lot of ways.
Whether you’re using these cameras for security or to monitor the random and fun antics of your cat or dog, I believe that you’ll be as thoroughly impressed by these Eufy wireless cameras as I am. They are a new standard of quality and convenience.

Really like this security system for the fact it’s locally stored and you do not have to subscribe to a service or cloud storage. Picture is good at 1080 but not great at distance. The motion detection is a little behind and will catch persons at the end of the motion if they are moving fast. 1 year battery life is a plus but charging does take a while. Like 8 hours. I do really like this product and hope they keep updating to make the motion capture even better.

This system comes as advertised. The camera's must be fully charged and synced to your android phone. The placement of the camera's is pretty straight forward. I have found that there are some less sensitive zones when a person is moving at a fast pace. The camera battery has been solid in the past week of below zero weather. We really like this system and will buy a couple more camera's.
