Good basic setup for home monitoring.

Was hoping this would catch some videos of deer and coyotes that come through but it never does.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been eying a top competing brand for months now when it comes to a wireless camera system for outside my home. Never once did I consider Eufy until I finally got my hands on this system. Boy, am I glad I did. This is an amazing security camera system that brings all the bells and whistles at an affordable price. The hardware is pretty straight-forward, with a base station, two wireless cameras, and two wall mounts. For my purpose, I purchased a third-party magnetic mount because it's what I preferred when setting the cameras up in my condo garage. Total setup time from opening the box to getting up and running was about an hour, and that's mainly because I was trying to figure out the perfect place/positioning of the cameras and becoming familiar with the way the Eufy Security app works (I am using iOS by the way). I very much appreciate the simple app, and some nifty features like changing the notification sounds when movement is detected. I was happy to see the Eufy sells black skins to go over the camera. It is much better for concealing the cameras into the environment of where I set them up. I love the fact that there is a built-in alarm on the cameras and base station (which you can activate in the app). Two-way audio works well. I just really wish the alarm was loud. It's very non-threatening in tone, and feels more like a gimmick than a detourant for bad guys. PROS: - Excellent Image Quality - Solid-feeling hardware - No Subscription Fees (A HUGE PLUS) CONS: - The siren is not nearly loud enough (on both cameras and base station) - Spot light feature not bright enough - App feels like it could be a little more user-friendly OVERALL: A solid purchase for anyone looking for a wireless camera system that provides great features with no subscription fees. Best of all, I feel like the pricing is a lot better compare to a leading brand of which I will not name. Add-on cameras are pretty affordable as well, so growing your system is affordable.

Motion detection and Battery not good!

Found myself having to turn them off so notifications would stop. And now one of the cameras battery will only last about half as long as the other even though the settings are the same and with less triggers. Past the return period so now I'm stuck with these inferior cameras. Nice try Eufy, but No.

To assist you futher, please further describle the issue of the motion defection. If the camera is triggered too much or it misses some movements?

This is the home camera I have been waiting for!

We have a single Arlo camera that we liked pretty well. We hated the monthly fee, but the camera performed well, but we didn't want to put it outside for fear it would be stolen! That's where this camera comes in and saves the day! It has all the features the Arlo has and more. We are very happy with this unit. Everything you need is right there in the box. No need to order mounting brackets to mount outside the house. It's all in the box! Setting up the unit is a breeze. Everything is very well packaged. I plugged in the base station to the router. I like how you can use the base station to charge the batteries. I set the batteries to charge while I went and scouted mounting locations. I had to buy a drill bit, but installing the mounts was simple. Once the batteries were charged, I downloaded the app and set everything up. It works perfectly. The picture is clear, the night vision is awesome!! The best part about this product? NO MONTHLY FEES!!! It also has a 6 month battery life! Arlo is half that if you are lucky! It also connects to Apple Home which is something I plan on utilizing much more in the future. This is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for home cameras!!

Very disappointed

If a person is more than 10ft away the motion sensor does not trip these cameras to record most of the time. If a person is within 5ft to 10ft it's a 50/50 chance, at best. I did lots of testing and increased the sensitivity to try and get them to record more often. Didn't work. If you trust your security to cameras that don't record most of the time when they should this is your product. If you expect more than find something else. Returning these cameras because they offer nothing more than a false sense of security.

If you still keep the camera, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
1.Adjust the installation angle and height. The right height is 7-10 feets. The depression angle should not be greater than 25 degrees.
2. I understand you have increased the sensitivity. Please set the “Motion detection” to be “All motions” to see if it help.
3. Delete the activity zone if it has been set up. Steps:side menu>my devices>motion detection>activity zone.
4. A picture to show the position where you want to trigger the camera
5. The exact time point when the camera missed to capture the movement. Such as November at 19:05.
6. Please download any video from the app and send it to us.

I LOVE these security cameras

Installation and setup is simple. Connecting to my home network was easy and the cameras stay connected (I've had issues with dropped wifi signals with other cameras before). The app is easy to navigate and has all the features you'll need. No monthly fee! Of course this means it is not a true home monitoring system that alerts the authorities, but it will record activities and alert you to any potential problems. Also, I find that the human detection sensitivity is just right and doesn't give a lot of false notifications. Weather proof (IP67). Eufy claims the battery will last 180 days. I've been using it a week and so far so good.

Cameras packed with pro-like features!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already own the eufyCam 2 Pro 2k and it’s a great camera but at twice the price. I wanted to expand the security in our home, and this bundle gives the same protection with nearly the same features but at half the price. I’ve used the Eufy ecosystem for over 6 months now, and I have zero complaints. The app is great and the fact that I don’t have to pay a single fee for cloud storage is convenient. Here are my pros vs cons: WiFi – this is a wire-free camera that does the job and you won’t have to look at ugly white cables going around your house. I can’t do wire cameras, but that said even though the packaging states it’s 1080p resolution, it does not look like a native 1080p. I think this has to do with the fact that the cameras are outside and so the WiFi signal is not at 100%. Still, the image suffices my needs as it records in a consistent 720p-1080p resolution. Personally, I know I am not going to get 4k resolution from a wire-free camera, and I just wanted to get some extra eyes on our house in case something ever happens. 180-Day-Battery – I highly doubt you will get exactly 180 days as this has not been the case with he 2pro model that I have, but charging the camera is easy so I don’t mind if the camera does not live up to the advertised battery life. The cameras are tested in ideal conditions, and my cameras are sitting outside in cold and rainy weather and record multiple subjects throughout the day, and all of this drain the battery quicker. No hidden costs – never worry about paying an extra fee after you install your camera! Local storage – there is only 16GB of local storage and personally, I think this works for most people. Night vision - surprisingly it almost matches the quality of my eufyCam 2 Pro – I also love that it has a light that can be turned on manually as needed. This light is not bright to the eye, but somehow it illuminates the view from the camera, so this is a nice touch that I actually wish my other cameras had. Human detection - I wish the detection zone was a little quicker because sometimes it catches the person once they are already in front of the camera and not so much when they are on the outskirts of the detection zone. No really complaint though just wish it would detect better movement Smart-image enhancement - it provides you a little icon of the person's face that was captured, so this is a cool feature. Smart-integration – installation is super easy! Weatherproof – it’s withstanding the first Colorado snow storms this 2020, and so I am happy with the results. I am getting a little worried since our temperature can drop to negative numbers, and the box advertises that it can withstanding cold temperatures down to negative 4. Intruder Siren – This is a feature I only tested, but it can be good to notify neighbors or scare potential intruders. I highly recommend this bundle as it has almost identical features as the 2 Pro 2k. The cameras themselves are also a more subtle and cooler design.

My son has an Arlo system and he was quite impressed when he saw my Eufy and when I told him the price, he was jealous. I purchased a door sensor and installed it and it only took me about a minute. We have been upgrading our condo to make it a smart home and after installing a smart lock, the wife wanted a camera installed because she was afraid the it would not auto lock sometime after we leave. Highly recommend this eufy security system, very well worth the investment!

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Eufy cameras for awhile now, and was always impressed with the quality, value, and, most of all the battery life. These camera batteries last longer than ANY OTHER WIFI CAMERA PERIOD, and, the video quality is excellent, and, they are easy to connect, monitor and install. I had some hiccups adding them to my exisiting Eufy camera system, but got that all figured out, and they are working great. Dont bother with any of those "big name" wireless cams; nothing has a longer lasting battery, and better pricing than the Eufy system!

Look for another brand

Now the downside, it works intermittently and have to reset it, hoping that it will work, it will sometimes. i tried emailing their tech support but got nowhere and issue still occurs, of it now recording when it should. i will tuff it out, to see if software update fixes it.
