Automatic saves detected motion to your storage. You can change in the settings of how long you want the camera to be recorded. Only downside is better. It does say I believe 6 months until battery needs to be charged, it takes maybe 1 month or so, well depending how often you use the camera and for the settings when it detects and records. OVERALL IS GREAT!

Motion detection is horrible even in high settings only sees when the person is in front of door moving or sometimes doesn't detect at all. If you buy it to worch with your echo 8 or 10n don't bother is slow to repond or open the app and it has a 10 second delay that by the time you get an image they are gone. Horrible experience with it. Will be selling it on letgo asap.

If possible, please delete the “Activity Zone” if you have set it to see if the issue persists.
If it doesn’t help, please provide the following information to find the root cause. We are more than happy to assist you further.
1. A picture to show the position where you want to trigger the doorbell.
2. The exact time point when the doorbell missed to capture the movement. Such as September-18 at 14:00.
3. Please download any video from the app and send it to us.
As for the issue with echo device, sometimes there will be a delay of 10-15S as it will be affected by the internet environment and Amazon service. We appreciate your feedback on this. It uses my existing chimes, hard wired with a battery backup, and is part of an ever growing Eufy security and camera system that I installed. It also allowed me to install a second Homebase to expand my system range and storage capacity. No cloud fees as a bonus. Very satisfied.

I had Arlo's before and ill tell you one thing, im never going back after trying Eufy. They really hit the security game hard and without monthly fees. Arlos are great but they just weren't cutting it anymore. My home is all eufy now outfitted with cameras, pin pad, doorbell, multiple homebases, sensors, motion detectors, pan & tilt cameras! I love the Eufy system!

This doorbell is perfect for houses with no electrical connections available for a doorbell. The home base can work with wifi or ethernet and allows additional Eufy devices to be added. Recently added security sensors and they work as expected as well with now glitches. The only thing they can improve on is the quality of the speaker included in the home base as it is not very smooth at max volume.
