This is the best video doorbell for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this item. Camera resolution at 2k makes it really easy to see things and packages being dropped off. Love that this requires no subscription, and this can be wired to your door or used separately. Just know that if you use it not wired to your door, you will need your own drill bit to install.

Great camera all around
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera very good quality the only thing that is a downfall is the LED blue light doesn't stay on at night it only comes on when motion is detected before somebody gets to the doorbell to ring it wish you would stay on all night long

Good for a budget doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This doorbell is decent. I love the features, response time, etc, however, the battery needs charged way more often than I expected. we charge it once a week, at a minimum. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Posted .So glad you love the product! Thank you for your support. We are super excited to provide something that betters your life. We promise to continue striving to exceed your expectations!
The battery life varies, depending on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures. Could you please let us know how many events your doorbell recorded?

Best Video Doorbell Yet!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll will start by saying that the Eufy Security Video Doorbell With Battery is a great video doorbell and in my humble opinion, the best one available today. In today's world of connected devices once thing I am always concerned about is privacy. While I've installed several other doorbells for relatives and friends, I've held out on installing one in my own home because I'm not a huge fan of my videos being saved to the cloud. Most other video doorbells save recordings that way as the only option and what's more, you have to pay for that cloud storage. Chances are if there is more that one price tier offered, the cheaper one doesn't really let you take advantage of some of your doorbell's best features, and I need a another subscription service like a hole in the head. In that regard the Eufy Security Video Doorbell With Battery is a real game-changer. It is a completely local solution. All of your videos stay right at home. The doorbell itself comes equipped with 4GB of storage onboard, but what's even better is that the Homebase 2 unit that comes bundled with the unit expands that available storage to 16GB which is plenty of storage for the 2K resolution videos that are captured. Speaking of the 2K 4:3 aspect ration video, I must say that I am very impressed with both the area that the camera is able to capture and the quality of the videos saved. Before I installed and started using the doorbell I was a little worried that it wouldn't live up to the quality video I've seen from the Nest and Ring devices I've installed for others. It was an interesting choice by Eufy Security to feature 2K so prominently in their promotional material when 4K has nearly become the new normal. There are those who might think "Well, 2K < 4K so it must not be as good as the others". They would be mistaken. If this is something you're concerned about, let me be the first to say that you shouldn't be. I actually prefer the video captured by my Eufy to Those I've seen from other devices despite the lower resolution. While I like the user configurable activity zone and adjustable recording trigger sensitivity, I was not so happy with it with the stock trigger sensitivity. Compared to other devices in its category I found the Eufy to be lacking. Once customized, however, I found it to be on par, so if you're thinking of picking one up, be aware that you'll probably get the most desirable results by expanding you trigger area a bit longer or wider and setting the sensitivity to maximum. The AI human detection is quite good, though it does get tripped up by things like people riding bicycles. One thing that I do feel is missing is the ability to have the doorbell start the video clips prior to being triggered. Other video doorbells do this and I will say I wish this one did too. Another thing that I'm holding out hope for is Apple Homekit Secure Video compatibility. Eufy Security has other cameras that work with the Homekit ecosystem and I don't see why they wouldn't be able to push an update at some point to enable it for the doorbell as well. All of that said, when comparing all of the video doorbells I've had an opportunity to play with head to head, if I was given to opportunity to pick any one of them to keep as my own I would still take this offering by Eufy Security hands down. It does 99% of what I need and what it to do in the manner that I prefer vastly to the other offerings.

Get it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this doorbell camera and not having to pay a fee is a big plus! It captures human detection in the area I specified. The battery life seems good, I installed it a week ago and it’s at 95%. The video quality is great and night vision is good. I’m so glad I got rid of Ring.

Eufy video doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommend this system. Its very user friendly and easy to add additional cameras. Free local storage with no monthly fees. No cloud storage needed, great for primacy advocates. Has a slight delay in video but its better than others I've seen and is tolerable.

Best value for any comparable video doorbell.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my parents for Christmas. It has 2k video resolution, you can adjust the deadzones so your camera doesn't pick up every car that drives by. But most importantly, it DOES NOT require any additional paid subscription to take full advantage of the features.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not tried any other doorbell besides this one. However I did do my research and compare them before my purchase. With that being said this one works great for me. It has so many neat settings. You can really customize it to fit your needs. My friends and family love it too.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product! I especially like that it recognizes pets versus humans so it doesn't notify me every time my dog is outside. The chime options aren't great, but it does the job. Also like that I don't have to pay a subscription fee like many other video doorbells!

Safety Eye
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First one in my family and neighborhood to have it installed. It makes life more relaxed having it. I am alerted when family or delivery people approach the door. My cell phone shows a visual alert. A safety necessity, for my home.

Not that great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Descent unit except it pick up other movement beside human even though "human" is set. Should have bought the "Ring" unit. Would be nice if these unit recognized home owner so it doesn't keep going off when mowing yard.

Eufy is THE best of the best
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Eufy. This product has never failed me, but my one complaint is that getting it out of the faceplate is a royal pain if you lose the tool. I get you don’t want someone taking it, but there has to be a better solution.

Best value doorbell camera, with minor issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install, easy to use, no subscription, so in my opinion best value doorbell camera. Only reason not a 5 star are small things, such as the first two or so seconds of the video can be jumpy and low quality before it becomes smooth.

Huge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doorbell is huge! If you have a small area to mount it - it will not fit. Never got to use it so I can't discuss the quality of the product.

So far so good. Battery operation is great!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the Eufy Smart wi-fi video doorbell installed next to my door for about a week now, and I'm quite pleased with the results. The video quality is great, installation was easy. and operation has so far been flawless. The fact that the Eufy doorbell will run for months on battery power is a HUGE selling point for me, as I had no existing wiring to the doorbell area and had previously settled on chintzy radio frequency doorbell with a AA battery in the button and a plug-in chime. If I ever decide to run wires to the front porch, the option exists for me to run the Eufy doorbell on electricity from my house, but until then, it'll be running on battery and charged periodically whenever it needs to be. There are a few important things to know about this video doorbell that may effect whether it's right for you, so read on to learn more. The Eufy doorbell is easy to install and comes with essentially 2 things: the doorbell itself, which can run on standard doorbell wiring or its own battery power, and the base station. The doorbell connects to the base station via a wi-fi connection, but the base station itself must be connected directly to a router via Ethernet cable. That was a bit of a letdown for me, because my router is not located in a main room, but the chime can still be heard from through a door or around a corner. If you have existing wiring, the doorbell can be set to trigger your existing chime, whether mechanical or digital. The initial software setup process was quite easy. You download Eufy's app and follow a few steps. I had a tiny hiccup with the base station not connecting right away, but quickly turning it off and on again fixed it right away. Once set up, you mount the doorbell and begin using it. All-in-all, the set up and installation process took about 15 minutes, but I didn't need to connect any existing doorbell wiring, because my house has none. The doorbell can be flush mounted to a solid surface or you can use Eufy's angle bracket, which attaches to the back of the doorbell unit and angles the camera 15 degrees off-center. The angle mount makes it so the camera captures the entire area in front of your door. Mounting is easy, with just two screws to attach. I had a slight problem with installation, when one of the screws went too far in and pushed past the soft plastic of the mounting plate. In the end, I decided to leave it as it was, because it felt firmly attached despite the problem with the screw. My one complaint about the camera is that it isn't ultra-wide-angle, so although I have it mounted about 46 inches high, it can't see the floor area right in front of my door. That means I can't see a package that's been delivered right in front of my door, but of course, I *could* see if someone came onto my porch to grab that package, so the camera suits my needs fine. While in operation, the camera alerts your phone whenever it sees someone coming close to your door. I've seen a tutorial on this doorbell that suggests you can set specific areas in which you'd like to trigger these alerts using a simple method of drawing shapes in the app, but the default setting has worked so far for me. Sometimes I get an alert while someone is walking their dog on the sidewalk in front of my house, but I'm not bothered by that. When a person comes close, you can see who it is, and interact with them through a built-in speaker in the doorbell, using your phone as a microphone. You can also look at the live feed from the camera whenever you choose by using the app. All told, I'm happy with the Eufy doorbell. I'm hopeful the battery life will live up to Eufy's 6-month estimate, but even if it doesn't, I can recharge it any time. The most important things to me is that it runs on battery power and can alert me when packages are delivered to my home. The ease of use and peace of mind I've experienced so far makes the Eufy a winner.

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice area coverage. Set-up took a little longer than I expected, about 45 minutes but overall I'm pleased. It has nice coverage of the walk up and integrates well with both iPhone and Echo. Love that everything is stored locally and no subscription.

A must have over other doorbells

Great Doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is very nice and has all the features you need in a video doorbell. It is battery powered so you basically just screw the mount to your house and stick the doorbell on there. The app works very well and it’s so nice to not pay a subscription.

Best alternative to Arlo and other subscriptions
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good alternative to Arlo and Ring where you have to pay monthly subscription fees. Most importantly, data is stored locally. You can add a Pen drive to the Base station. Club this combo with Eufy cameras and pair them to this base station.
