Once the video is up which is about after 5-10 seconds, the fund begins with the audio. I have a gigabit internet connection, wifi signals are solid, downgraded resolution but still no improvement. Will try Google to Ring and move this to a secondary place.

Battery is horrible

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do love it but, my battery drains soo fast.. it takes about 2 weeks or less, and I’m probably alerted 4 times a day or less. it’s not like if it’s constantly recording. I take night vision off so it doesn’t turn the LED lights on. Not sure why this happens. The app I kind of wish it was more like the Ring app, and not separated into clips.

Poor product

Now I don't get a notification for human motions even with the highest sensitivity level. It missed several package delivery already. The auto night vision stopped working. It shows a black and white video in the day. The battery is poor. It needs to be recharged every 4 months.

Worked fine until we answered the doorbell

Yeah its nice not having a subscription, but honestly, sometimes, it's worth a little extra. Their cameras are awesome but this doorbell is severely lacking in visual and audio quality.

The LED light on the button will not glow unless there is a motion detected in any battery version, including this one.

Do not recommend

I bought this last December for around 140 and I regret it. Unfortunately it was past return period when I noticed how bad it is. The battery powered doorbell does NOT last half a year as advertised, but only last a week or two depending on the usage. The advertised half year is only when you use the doorbell as a dumb doorbell with no recording. Also, the battery powered doorbell does not have 3 second prerecording so often times you will only see people walking away from your door. The 2k resolution is really good compared to other doorbells. So if you really want this doorbell, please wire it (yes, the battery powered doorbell can be wired) so you don't have to charge it every week. Also, if you don't mind the on device storage of the wired doorbell, get that one since you have to wire it anyway, and you get the 3 second prerecording.

3. Provide a picture to show how many times the doorbell is triggered. You can check in the app via Step: camera settings>Power manager.
This doorbell will star recording after the movement is detected, it does not have 3 second prerecording. To find the root cause, please provide the following information:
1. A picture to show the position where you want to trigger the doorbell.
2. The exact time point when the doorbell missed to capture the movement. Such as September-18 at 14:00.
3. Please download any video from the app and send it to us.

Erratic Function

Sometimes it would pick up people walking 30 feet away and other times I could be standing three feet in front of it and it would not indicate that anyone was there.

First Video Doorbell, Very Impressed

I have been interested in getting a video doorbell for a while, but I was always concerned that the doorbell wiring for my 1970's house wouldn't cut it. With the Eufy Battery Video Doorbell I didn't have to worry about that. One bonus I didn't realize before I got it was that I can use my existing under powered doorbell wiring to charge the doorbell so I don't need to worry about taking the doorbell down to charge every 180 days. I really love the fact that the video is stored locally so you don't need to pay a subscription fee just to use the doorbell. The Installation and setup was a breeze. You plug in the homebase first, then configure the rest through the Eufy app. The app walks you through step-by-step. It works great out the box, but the Eufy app lets you customize it very easily. The motion detection works well. The doorbell can see the walkway up to my front steps, so it detects movement before someone gets to the steps and starts recording before they get to the door. I really can't think of anything bad to say about it other than my boys are fascinated by it and love to leave me foolish messages, though I figure they'll get tired of that eventually.

Great doorbell camera...

Installation was so simple, install the camera/doorbell, plug in and set up the base station and set up an account. After that, fine tune the settings and then forget about it... if you can! If you are like me, you will probably test out the notifications and get REALLY tired of having it squawk at you every time someone passes by your door! There are a ton of settings, even the ability to adjust the area that triggers the camera. I think it would be even better with some more scheduling abilities, but there are a lot of things I haven't totally figured out yet, so maybe that is in there somewhere. For a doorbell, it works very well. The chime can be changed and the volume can be adjusted also. The chime rings from the base station, so its location determines the doorbell sound. Overall, I am pretty impressed with the Eufy wireless doorbell system. The app is pretty intuitive and polished, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The product itself is solid and looks to be of good quality. I am looking forward to using this as a good addition to our security system.

Battery life is disappointing.

I get a few weeks per charge, at best. I’ve played with every setting possible and can’t get anything more than 4 weeks. Not what I was expecting or hoping for at all.

Easy to Install. Excellent Video Quality

It hasn't failed to record and notify me as soon as someone is in range. Faces are easy to see, even at night. The sound quality is amazing. It can pick up conversations clearly across our cul-de-sac. Installation is easy as long as you have a drill. I decided to wire this camera and replace our existing doorbell. I initially installed it without the angle bracket, but too much of the brick wall next to the door was visible so I took it off and installed to angle bracket which allowed for a much better field of view. Setup and installation took all of about 20 min. That includes setting up the base unit, downloading the app, wiring and mounting the camera, and setting notification and ring tone preferences on my phone. I really like the fact that all the video is stored on the HomeBase and not in a cloud. The encryption is a plus as well. The only thing that would make this any better is google assistant/home support since we have google speakers all over our house. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a video doorbell.

Defective straight out the box

Troubleshooting with Eufy support and help on Eufy forums and still not able to connect to Wifi. I spent a good portion of the last 2 days rebooting, restarting, resetting, router config... etc.. Never had a problem with any other Security camera setup before. This is by far the worst.

1. Change the doorbell working mode as a customized recording without a retriggering interval. Here are the steps: My device>Doorbell Name>Doorbell Settings>Power Manager >Cutomized Recording. This option allows you to reduce the triggering interval so the event can be captured on time, but the battery will drain faster.
2. Increase the sensitivity of motion detection. Here are the steps: My device>Doorbell Name>Doorbell Settings>Motion detection>Set motion detection sensitivity.
3. Please try to lower the image quality. My device>Doorbell Name>Doorbell Settings>Video quality>Streaming Quality>Low.
4. Please set the push to the most effective mode and see if there is any change. My device>Doorbell Name>Doorbell Settings>Notification>Most Efficiency.
5. Check if the doorbell has a weak signal from HomeBase. If so, situate the doorbell closer to the HomeBase to get a better signal. You can try to connect using WIFI or network cable respectively to see if there is any change.

Poor to no support, app is unstable. Do not buy.

Eufy claims Best Buy is supposed to handle warranties, while Best Buy is claiming Eufy is supposed to handle the warranty. Additionally, the Eufy app suffers from delays and crashes with relative frequency. I would advise potential buyers to look at other products.

I don’t recommend this product!

I called customer service and it was horrible we just keep back and forth emails. they keep saying their is nothing wrong with the camera. I only get 3 recordings or less the whole day! I don’t recommend this product
