Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're really sorry you've encountered this issue!

I understand your disappointment in this situation. Please note that battery life varies, depending on how many times the doorbell is triggered, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures. In most common scenarios, a fully charged doorbell can last for 180-day. eufy battery doorbell test was done in the following conditions:

      - Temperature: 68°F (20°C)
      - 10 motion detections per day
      - Recorded for 30 seconds each time motion was detected
      - Standby power consumption was included during the usage time

Battery life varies and depends on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.

In this case, may I trouble you to try the following troubleshooting tips?
-Choose the Balance Surveillance working mode. Step: Devices- Power manager. In this mode, the power consumption of the battery will be reduced, but it may also cause some motions will not be able to be detected.
-Select ""Human Only"" instead of ""All Motions"". Or decrease the sensitivity. Steps: Devices>motion detection>sensitivity level
-Set up or narrow the Activity Zone to filter the false positives.

If those don't help, please reach out to us via support@eufylife.com or call us at +1 (800) 988 7973. We are more than happy to assist you further.

We offer a 12-month warranty for this product, plus lifetime technical support. Our standard for responding to email quests is less than 24 hours, and we look forward to hearing from you! eufy

Let me first add a couple of caveats to this review - if you're in the market for a doorbell cam, you want to have some idea of what resolution you're looking for. 1080p had become the gold standard for our TVs, and the idea pervades everywhere, but you want to do some research to determine at that resolution what can I actually SEE on my doorbell cam. 1080p is great, it's a decent resolution but not the highest. Also for the purposes of this review, I won't be examining any of the recent security concerns with doorbell apps and camera access. That, dear review reader, will be up to you as a consideration of risk in your own use of a doorbell cam. Whew okay, all that out of the way. This doorbell camera keeps in line with Anker's lifestyle brand Eufy and its excellent products. It feels well constructed and made of sturdy materials. I have long put off bringing a doorbell camera into my system because of the uncertain wiring in my older home. Battery-powered doorbells to the rescue. The frame attaches securely to your installation location of choice and then the camera snaps into that. I do worry a little that someone could figure out it's a battery-powered one and snap it out of its frame, but there are no indicators showing it to not be permanently mounted. You do have to fully remove it to handle charging via the USB port on the back. The included chime base pairs with the doorbell, and you can utilize Amazon Alexa as expansion chimes. I have yet to figure out if I can also pair this with my google homes, which I would appreciate being able to do. The videos are stored on a MicroSD in the doorbell itself, and accessible via the app. Overall this is a great basic wireless video doorbell. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I would also encourage consumers to be informed, and decide on a camera resolution and the need for wired or wireless before shopping for a doorbell.

I’ve been using the Eufy Security Doorbell Camera for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. One of the standout features is no subscription fees. Unlike many other brands, Eufy offers free local storage, saving me from monthly charges. Installation was a breeze. The camera is battery-operated, which meant I didn’t need to worry about wiring. The battery life is also great, lasting weeks before needing a recharge. It was easy to set up through the Eufy app, and I had it up and running in no time. The video quality is sharp and clear, and the motion detection works well, with customizable settings to reduce false alarms. I also love the two-way audio feature, which allows me to speak to visitors even when I’m not home. Pros: • No subscription required • Easy installation • Long-lasting battery • Sharp video quality • Responsive motion detection • Two-way audio If you’re looking for a reliable doorbell camera without the hassle of ongoing fees, Eufy is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

The packaging for the Eufy Security Video Doorbell Slim 1080P Battery is nice. Opening the box, you get a feeling of quality. That continues as you examine the device itself. The box contains the video doorbell, mounting hardware for the doorbell, a USB charging cable, and a door chime that plugs into an outlet inside your home. Setup is super easy via the Eufy app, which I have used before with our front door lock and a set of security cameras. Once the doorbell is up and running, it does a really good job. Video is clear and sound is good. My only gripe is that despite the word "slim" in the product name, this video doorbell feels and looks pretty bulky. That may be because my only comparisons are wired video doorbells, so perhaps this is really thin for a battery-operated video doorbell. Regardless, it looks solid and performs well. I was thankful you can easily adjust the volume of the chime, as well as the tone it plays for the chime. Really, the Eufy app is well designed and just works smoothly. Of course, you need to have WiFi to use the video doorbell. When someone rings the doorbell, the interior chime will sound, and your phone will get a notice. You can open the video player on the phone. There is a short lag as the video loads, but it doesn't seem much, if any, worse than other brands I've tried in that regard. Of course, being a battery-operated video doorbell, you will need to recharge it periodically. Eufy says the battery will last at least 120 days. The good news is that it's easy to remove and charge. It comes mostly charged out-of-the-box, but I recommend charging it fully prior to using. I like the fact it has a local storage option. You can pay a small monthly fee for a subscription service, but Eufy has always been good about making the product friendly for those of us who don't want to pay another monthly fee.

I will cut to the chase and do a pointed summary as follows: If you are in the market for a video doorbell that will not break the bank and does not need a subscription service then this will be a great buy: Build quality is excellent. Installation is super easy. No subscription is needed, ever. Money saver. 1080P clarity is plenty good. The IR works well at night. It detects humans quite well and is not like the early generation video doorbells who would set the alarm on seeing the neighbor's cat. The detection can be finicky at times or inconsistent. The SD card stores the images and videos and you have access to them. There is a cloud option as well. The battery should last about 4 months and is not expensive. If you are on the fence, give this one a go.

Unsuccessful in pairing. Called Customer Support from Eufy app, and they tried to help me on the phone for 30-45 minutes. We tried resetting the doorbell multiple times. Ultimately the call rep determined that it was a defective unit. He told me to call Best Buy and request a new replacement unit.

The eufy Slim Video Security Doorbell pairs with your Android or Apple smartphone. Download the eufy Security app and it walks you through the setup steps. The Quickstart Guide also helps you through setup, or watch the video after you activate the eufy Security app. You need only a screwdriver to install on a wooden door frame. You may need a drill for other surfaces. Everything else is included. The eufy Slim Video Doorbell features a 1080p camera. You can set the video streaming quality if you want to save energy, or if you have a slow WiFi connection. The doorbell works on any 2.4 Gb WiFi network. The eufy app features many settings for doorbell chime tone and volume, motion detection, detection zone settings, and more. You can use the default settings, or customize to your heart’s content. The doorbell chime plugs into a standard electrical outlet. During setup, you connect the chime to your WiFi network, then connect the doorbell itself. The doorbell stores videos on a micro SD card that pops into the side of the doorbell chime. The eufy doorbell comes with a USB charging cord. Plug the cord into any powered USB outlet to fully charge the doorbell. The battery should last for 90 days or more between charges. I tested the doorbell on an overcast day, so the person approaching the door was backlit, but still recognizable. You can try adjusting the video capture settings in the app. If you have Alexa, you can pair the doorbell with Alexa. The bottom line: unboxing was easy, setup took moderate effort, as I had to try several times to get both the chime and the doorbell registered with the app, and installation of the doorbell was easy. I would recommend this device.

This is an awesome Video doorbell with a lot to offer. The installation was very easy since your don’t have to install any wires since this is a battery operated doorbell. The next step was to download the app. I love how you don’t have to buy any type of subscription to keep track of your recordings. The App is very easy to use and helps you keep track and gives you alerts straight to your phone of who comes at your door. The camera is great and the images are clear. You can also talk through the Video doorbell to whoever is at the door and also record shortcut custom messages for your visitors. The battery life is great as well. Im very happy with this video doorbell and super affordable. I definitely recommend this!!!

Just received my eufy Video Security Doorbell Slim a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. Inside the package comes the video doorbell, WIFI doorbell chime, mounting screws & wedge, positioning card, warning stickers, USB charging cable, and user documentation. Once you have unpacked everything, it is recommended to charge the doorbell although it comes with about an 80% charge. Once fully charged, download and install the eufy Security app from the app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store), create an account and continue with the setup process. The setup process takes no time. This video doorbell also comes with a 16GB microSD card preinstalled on the side of the door chime. Image quality is amazing a 1080p. It can detect by face who's at your door and allows you to connect with Google for it to show you who's at your door. It keeps tracks of live views and history as well as notify you instantly when someone's at your door, and offers superb 2-way audio. Battery life is rated at 120 days (approximately 4 months) but I'm guessing that'll all depend on how often people are popping up at your door.

Hardest part of the setup? Finding the most appropriate side of my door. That was the only challenging part and mostly because of the materials used at the front of my house where the front door is. Too many stones on the wall and too much glass on the door. Once that was out of the way, it couldn’t be easier with the app step-by-step instruction and no wiring required. The app is useful for a lot more than that though. The downside is that if you let the battery run out, you’ll have no doorbell or video. However, they promise 120 days on a single charge. It that is true, you can easily schedule a charge every 90 days or so and have peace of mind. Image quality was better than expected even in low light. 1080p gives you enough resolution to recognize anybody or anything. I would definitely want 4K on a TV or bigger security system but for my doorbell, that’s more than enough. Videos are smooth and fluid. Here’s something that I love. No monthly fees like many popular brands out there. You can access videos from anywhere with Internet access but the video is recorded locally. You don’t have to worry about the safety of the video because it is recorded onto an SD card in the chime inside your house. Clever. Because I have a lot of smart devices, I’ve enjoyed the fact that I can use Alexa Show to see who’s out there and control from Google home as well. Facial recognition was something I was not expecting but it is a very nice feature, especially when you're away from home and it tells by name that your daughter is at the front door (arriving from school) no matter where you are. Of course, I don’t want to receive a notification every time somebody goes by my street. Eufy resolved this by allowing to set an activity zone through the app. Whew! Definitely recommended for anyone. In some instances, this proved to be better than a certain popular brand than I have used for a few years now. The only thumbs down, but not that significant, is the auto brightness that takes a couple of seconds to adjust. Totally bearable and it’s no reason not to buy it.

This is much better than I expected. It's been so great having this and not having to stop what I'm doing to get to the door right away. I can view who's there and speak to them even while upstairs. For delivery, I just tell them to leave it by the door. I was nervous it might be difficult to set up but was pretty simple even for me to do. I think because it's battery and doesn't need to hook to the wires. The app, chime and wifi connections worked well and quick too. The best thing is once you buy this, you don't have to pay monthly to and can review what you've captured anytime on the sd card. Once the card fills up, the new items over ride the old ones. The only draw back that I have is that you have to remove the doorbell to charge the battery. But it makes sense because the battery isn't replaceable. So I have to plan it when home since we won't have access to it while charging. The view and picture is so clear and the notifications is pretty quick. The battery is suppose to last 6 months so I'll see if that's the case. So far battery is still staying strong.
