I was able to wire it into my existing doorbell chime for trickle charging.

You'll gave to have a 2.5g wifi network for it to work. Other then that camera quality is great.

Don’t buy!

I was excited to try a brand other than the big names and loved how this setup works. Unfortunately the camera does not pickup people!! I’m on my second unit. The first one worked great for about a month before the battery started draining uncontrollably and wouldn’t charge. Then it stopped picking up people coming and going and started picking up a flag blowing in the wind 82 times in one day. I thought I had a defective unit. Eufy support walked me through troubleshooting steps (to no avail) before suggesting I turn off the camera and just use the doorbell—which was pointless. I bought it for a camera—not just a doorbell. They ended up shipping me a separate unit. So far the battery is doing slightly better than the last, but the camera is not. In one day, a UPS man, a FedEx man, and one of my kids all came to the door, and the camera has yet to notice them. We come and go from our house all throughout the day. Sometimes it is triggered by us and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes despite our movement, it shows no activity all day. Which is scary if you’re depending on it to let you know if someone is around. Looks like I wasted my time and money and will still likely have to go with a Ring camera. So maybe my review can help you skip the same trouble I went through. I will say that we purchased an outdoor wired camera of theirs for another area and it works great! Catches all the movement it is supposed to. But this doorbell cam doesn’t even come close to it. Very sad.
