The only issue is that it doesn't have facial recognition and I have family that litteraly lives next door and they come and go from my house like 100000 times a day and the mottion sensor for the camera goes crazy detecting the 100000 times in and out.... draining the battery very very fast.

Since my home never really had a doorbell it works fine for that. I did have the opportunity to hardwire to 18 volts. So far so good. Is it worth it? It is really up to you. Look for a good sale. I would advise not to run strictly on battery in high traffic area . Battery will deplete quickly
