    I've had mine for going on 4 moths and it has recently been ringing the doorbell for no reason at all hours night and day. Pretty freaking annoying! And don't try and send feedback to the company because you will get some lame automated response that doesn't have any useful information!! Overall I'm extremely disappointed with this product and I have several of their cameras both indoor and outdoor, but after seeing the quality of products they are selling now I won't be buying anymore Anker products at all. Don't waste your $ on this crappy product it's over priced and disposable its an expensive mistake.

    Terrible Human detection, either it's detecting things that aren't there, or completely missing them, there is no in-between. It will pick up people walking on the sidewalk 25ft away, but miss the UPS guy standing 2ft in front of it dropping off my package.

      - Set up an activity zone to limit the area that you want the movement to be picked up. Go to the doorbell settings in the Eufy Security APP- Motion Detection- Activity Zone.
      - Please also set it to human only and the sensitivity level to the lowest in the Motion Detection to reduce the motion detection.

    It would be better if it didn't run on battery. I had to charge it every 3 even after adjusting its sensitivity and trigger range. Half the time the doorbell didn't ring most likely because it was dead. I originally purchased this for when packages got delivered and well it was dead most the time. I think there was an option to do powered but I dont have cabling for that.

    Highly disappointed. I replaced the eufy wired 2k with this 2k hd . The 2k had continuous record, play back and fish eye correction. The 2k hd doesn’t have any of those. I replaced it because my playback no longer worked. I was better off just keeping that. This was much more expensive. Doesn’t make sense.

    This doorbell is the least stressful smart home device I have ever encountered. Of course, that is a big thing to say-- but it really is. From installation to usage, this doorbell is a gem. It is a very simple, no fuss approach to doorbells and I love it. First off, the parts are easy to understand, this is even without looking at the instructions yet. Then the manual itself is very friendly and easy to digest. I chose to go the battery route, which I am sure is way easier than wiring it up. Installation was as easy as, screw-mount then-click-the-device-in kind of deal. The chime was a no-brainer. Then setting up the devices though the app was a breeze too. The cues to install was intuitive and fail-proof (which is very important to note). I have installed other devices in my home and have had to reinstall and connect multiple times at set up- this Eufy doorbell all seamlessly connected at first pass! Also, to note, charging is pretty universal. Just click off the doorbell and charge it, which is so good because I don't have to worry about the wiring and all that. App usage is easy as well. I can easily navigate through the camera and the recordings. Again, Eufy has really well thought about the app flow-- camera settings such as sensitivity, motion, quality, audio settings, as well as automations, and modes are all easy to understand and change. And the descriptions have enough information for me to know what each click will do without it making me lose my 5-year old level of focus. Also, to note, the geofencing mode, easily detects my location and chenges it to the correct mode--- believe me, a lot of other geofencing functionality in other apps do not perform as good as this. Recordings are clear enough to recognize face details and are easy to refer to. Doorbell is responsive (and the chime is LOUD). Integration to my smart home is very effective too-- I just easily ask Google to show me the front door on my tv, and it is there in 15 seconds from a fully turned off tv with Chromecast. If the tv is on, the doorbell streams in less than 5 seconds. Although there are cloud storage options and subscriptions, I don't have to do it and they are not sold on my face. The chime has a local (yes local!!) SDcard that stores my recordings. And the SDcard comes free too! I know this age of smart homes and devices will keep growing and keep getting better. I'm glad this doorbell is going in the right direction by making it really easy to own such a device in both the hardware and the software aspects. 5 million stars!

    Do not buy, one year and 10 days after I bought this doorbell, chime base has disconnected from the doorbell and I am unable to reconnect the base. The doorbell would also miss events and the video was not real clear.

      In this case, could you please try the following tips to see whether they can help?
      For Router:
      1. Make sure your router can access the Internet successfully
      2. Make sure if you have enabled DHCP on your router
      3. Try to temporarily disable the firewall setting on your router to see whether the Wifi chime can connect to WiFi. Make sure these ports are allowed:
      TCP:12306、12308
      UDP:32099、32100、32101、32102、32132

      For Wi-Fi Chime:
      -In this case, may I confirm whether the LED light on the wifi chime is on? If not, please change a socket to plug in the chime.
      -Try to restart the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime by unplugging it from the socket and plugging it in again. It may recover after 3 minutes.
      -If the above operations still cannot solve it, please try to remove the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime from the App and re-add the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime and Doorbell.

    If you look up the security flaws that were found with Eufy’s products, more specifically these doorbell cams, you’ll find these are an EASY hard pass! If you value your privacy, stay away. I don’t care what they “do” to try to fix the issues; they LIED about how these cameras and accessing your footage works. Once they’ve lied that big, who’s to say they wouldn’t lie about all their security claims?

    Recently purchased a Eufy door lock so I was really excited about replacing my current video doorbell with Eufy. It was a great disappointment in that after easy physical installation the doorbell could not be put online despite a strong WiFi signal and fiber optic bandwidth. Wasted hours and $170 on what turned out to be a really fancy doorbell that just goes “ding dong” with no video.

    I’m having to charge the battery every couple of weeks, even if there has been only one notification / use of doorbell camera. Also, camera cannot see both a person’s face and a package left on the doorstep.

    I can’t get it to work. It connected for two minutes. I was able to see who was at my door then it stopped. Now the chime won’t connect to my phone and the video doorbell won’t connect to the chime. Big headache

      If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
      - Use the latest version of the eufySecurity App.
      -Press the SYNC button for 2 seconds until you hear a beep, and make sure whether there is an indicator light on the doorbell? If not,please charge the battery doorbell for 2 hours and try to connect again.
      -Make sure the LED light on the Homebase is blue and the light on the doorbell is blue when the battery doorbell is pairing with the Homebase.
      -Keep the distance between the doorbell and Homebase within 1 meter when the doorbell is pairing with the home base.
      -If you still cannot connect the doorbell to the app, please press the SYNC button on the back of the doorbell for 10 seconds, and then press the SYNC button for 2 seconds to see if you will hear a beep to add the doorbell as normal.

    Wish i would’ve paid more attention to the negative reviews, and didn’t get my hopes up for so long. I would’ve realized that i was likely to get a dud instead of it working properly out of the box. What a waste.

    The battery doesn’t last long, I don’t get notified when someone is walking to my door. I have all settings set correctly and I just had a package delivered to my porch with no notification. Not worth the price just buy a ring

    Sorry for the one star but Best Buy Geek squad techs could not connect the Door bell to the Chime. They even call Eufy tech support and they could not make it work. Two sets of professionals and it could not work. I returned it.

    Security Doorbell that Actually Works!

    With online shopping, porch deliveries and pirates a way of life, we wanted a way to monitor the front porch. A video doorbell seemed just the ticket. But our first selection, a cloud based solution, just didn't cut it. The lag between a motion notification and the availability of the video was just unacceptable, up to several minutes delay. Enter the Eufy Smart WiFi 2K Video Doorbell! The Eufy Smart WiFi Video Doorbell replaced our first selection and what a difference! Videos are available at the notification with almost no delay. Videos are stored on the base unit, Eufy provides a 16GB microSD card for storage which is more than enough. Installation: Installation was pretty easy: Remove the old doorbell unit, drill a couple of holes, screw in the baseplate, attach the two doorbell wires and snap on the unit. The Eufy can be powered by its rechargeable battery or the existing doorbell power, so it could be mounted separately, but that requires recharging every six months or so. Eufy also provides a wedge to tilt the camera outwards a bit, which was really nice for us as it covers more of the porch and steps. The separate base unit plugs in anywhere and provides a second chime. This worked really well for us because the existing doorbell can't really be heard in our bedroom, so now we have a second chime! Amazingly, the printed instructions are good, clear and step by step, no hieroglyphic pictograms, just easy to follow instructions for both connecting the and installing the doorbell. They also provide a mounting 'wedge' so side mounted installations can be tilted slightly outward. This provided a big improvement in porch coverage to us. Setup: Setup was simple: download the app, follow the step by step procedure in the app, and you're up and running. Very easy, and in our case, the process worked flawlessly. Eufy seems to have spent some time actually making their app user friendly! It was very easy to navigate and setup. There is an option during setup to essentially repeat the installation and mounting instructions in the printed manual. They have obviously thought about this as there is also an option to skip the mounting instructions if the unit is already installed. Performance and Features: Performance is great(NOTE: we have android phones)! Whether the phone is on wifi or LTE, the video is excellent and there in no noticeable lag in notification or video clip availability. The real time video and two way voice work very well, making it possible to answer the door remotely without noticeable delay. The 2K video makes for a big jump in clarity, but that may also be the video encoding. The motion sensing is adjustable and works very well. It can also be set to detect humans or any movement. The Eufy Doorbell has a whole host of settings, but they are logically arranged in a mostly single list and are east to find. The local storage means you save what you want, no more scrambling to download before an important video clip is deleted. Tried out the integration with Google home as well and it works very nicely with the Home Hub. The only thing I find missing is a web interface accessible from a browser would be really nice, although the phone is so ubiquitous now it's not a big deal. All in all, I'm very glad I upgraded to the Eufy Smart WiFi 2K Video Doorbell amy SkyBell video doorbell and highly recommend it.

    Tried to connect this to wi-fi with two different phones, one iphone and one android. Did not connect....Unfortunately it is too late to return it to Best Buy so I am out the cost. The good news is I was going to add Eufy security cameras and will move to someone else. Lots of folks give it five stars, it's your money do what you think is best.
