Won’t Connect

I was able to see who was at my door then it stopped. Now the chime won’t connect to my phone and the video doorbell won’t connect to the chime. Big headache

If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
- Use the latest version of the eufySecurity App.
-Press the SYNC button for 2 seconds until you hear a beep, and make sure whether there is an indicator light on the doorbell? If not,please charge the battery doorbell for 2 hours and try to connect again.
-Make sure the LED light on the Homebase is blue and the light on the doorbell is blue when the battery doorbell is pairing with the Homebase.
-Keep the distance between the doorbell and Homebase within 1 meter when the doorbell is pairing with the home base.
-If you still cannot connect the doorbell to the app, please press the SYNC button on the back of the doorbell for 10 seconds, and then press the SYNC button for 2 seconds to see if you will hear a beep to add the doorbell as normal.

Not worth the price.

They even call Eufy tech support and they could not make it work. Two sets of professionals and it could not work. I returned it.

I lost on this one....

Did not connect....Unfortunately it is too late to return it to Best Buy so I am out the cost. The good news is I was going to add Eufy security cameras and will move to someone else. Lots of folks give it five stars, it's your money do what you think is best.

-Please confirm whether you enable ""record video"" of the doorbell in the home/away/customize mode.
-Please check your firewall setting to see if there are any special restrictions for the device. You can check the firewall setting at your router's official website.
-Could you please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the Homebase connect to your HotSpot to see if it works? Steps:side menu>my devices>wifi connection>change wifi.
-Please make sure the mobile phone network is set to IPV4 and the VPN is not turned on.
-Change a phone to see whether you can see the recorded videos.

Security Doorbell that Actually Works!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With online shopping, porch deliveries and pirates a way of life, we wanted a way to monitor the front porch. A video doorbell seemed just the ticket. But our first selection, a cloud based solution, just didn't cut it. The lag between a motion notification and the availability of the video was just unacceptable, up to several minutes delay. Enter the Eufy Smart WiFi 2K Video Doorbell! The Eufy Smart WiFi Video Doorbell replaced our first selection and what a difference! Videos are available at the notification with almost no delay. Videos are stored on the base unit, Eufy provides a 16GB microSD card for storage which is more than enough. Installation: Installation was pretty easy: Remove the old doorbell unit, drill a couple of holes, screw in the baseplate, attach the two doorbell wires and snap on the unit. The Eufy can be powered by its rechargeable battery or the existing doorbell power, so it could be mounted separately, but that requires recharging every six months or so. Eufy also provides a wedge to tilt the camera outwards a bit, which was really nice for us as it covers more of the porch and steps. The separate base unit plugs in anywhere and provides a second chime. This worked really well for us because the existing doorbell can't really be heard in our bedroom, so now we have a second chime! Amazingly, the printed instructions are good, clear and step by step, no hieroglyphic pictograms, just easy to follow instructions for both connecting the and installing the doorbell. They also provide a mounting 'wedge' so side mounted installations can be tilted slightly outward. This provided a big improvement in porch coverage to us. Setup: Setup was simple: download the app, follow the step by step procedure in the app, and you're up and running. Very easy, and in our case, the process worked flawlessly. Eufy seems to have spent some time actually making their app user friendly! It was very easy to navigate and setup. There is an option during setup to essentially repeat the installation and mounting instructions in the printed manual. They have obviously thought about this as there is also an option to skip the mounting instructions if the unit is already installed. Performance and Features: Performance is great(NOTE: we have android phones)! Whether the phone is on wifi or LTE, the video is excellent and there in no noticeable lag in notification or video clip availability. The real time video and two way voice work very well, making it possible to answer the door remotely without noticeable delay. The 2K video makes for a big jump in clarity, but that may also be the video encoding. The motion sensing is adjustable and works very well. It can also be set to detect humans or any movement. The Eufy Doorbell has a whole host of settings, but they are logically arranged in a mostly single list and are east to find. The local storage means you save what you want, no more scrambling to download before an important video clip is deleted. Tried out the integration with Google home as well and it works very nicely with the Home Hub. The only thing I find missing is a web interface accessible from a browser would be really nice, although the phone is so ubiquitous now it's not a big deal. All in all, I'm very glad I upgraded to the Eufy Smart WiFi 2K Video Doorbell amy SkyBell video doorbell and highly recommend it.

Good protection at an even better price!

Setup is easy and fast using an app-based approach. You have the option to go hard wired with battery backup or straight wireless using battery only. Everything needed was provided with regards to mounting hardware and microSD card. Screws and a jumper for the hardwire install was included with a wedge to turn the doorbell left or right. The only thing needed is a wedge to vertically compensate the camera with its footage that is quite wide. There is no HDR but WDR tries to accomplish the same by recovering highlights and balancing footage. There is AI built-in that can tell differences in human vs vehicles.to provide you with only alerts you want. There is NO monthly fee for your video stored locally but there is the option to store 30 days of footage in the cloud. There is integration with Alexa and Google which is another bonus and must have for me. My Gripes -Need a wedge for tipping the doorbell down since the picture is quite wide with lots of sky in shots for no reason. Only a left or right adjustment is included in the installation kit. -Streaming is not great or reliable, video is often choppy or missing frames during playback. -Auto Night Vision doesn't work reliably. For example, it is 1pm and there are still clips recorded in B&W night vision. At noon the sun is 100% out, there is no excuse for this. Overall, it is definitely a competitor for any video doorbell out there. Although it is not perfect, it is pretty close for the price you pay.

I understand your disappointment in this situation. Please note that battery life varies, depending on how many times the doorbell is triggered, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures. In most common scenarios, a fully charged doorbell can last for 180-day. eufy battery doorbell test was done in the following conditions:
- Temperature: 68°F (20°C)
- 10 motion detections per day
- Recorded for 30 seconds each time motion was detected
- Standby power consumption was included during the usage time
Battery life varies and depends on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.
In this case, may I trouble you to try the following troubleshooting tips?
-Choose the Balance Surveillance working mode. Step: Devices- Power manager. In this mode, the power consumption of the battery will be reduced, but it may also cause some motions will not be able to be detected.
-Select ""Human Only"" instead of ""All Motions"". Or decrease the sensitivity. Steps: Devices>motion detection>sensitivity level
-Set up or narrow the Activity Zone to filter the false positives.
