Self-cleaning is cool. A little loud
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This smart mop/vacuum is Great! It was easy to install and the companion app is user friendly and straight forward. The vacuum maps the house while traveling outer most edges and functions properly so as to not waste time and battery life. Speaking of which, the battery life is pretty good. It can handle an entire 1st floor of an apartment without needing a recharge. The product is compatible with Alexa and Google voice assistant so you can send it back to the charger using voice commands or start it up before you leave the house. It can be a bit loud so I prefer to have it running when I'm not home. One of the coolest features that I've never seen on on a vacuum/mop is the ability to clean itself. It has a self emptying base, water tanks on the base that washes and dries the mop pads after each use, it empties and refills the mop tank for the next use. It even detangles it's own brush from unwanted pet hair. The mopping feature is Way stronger, able to pick up more stains then the conventional mop. It also lifts the mop off the ground when a carpet is detected as it cleans hardwood and carpet at the same time! This vacuum is great!

Fantastic Vacuum, Better Mop, Meh App
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eufy has long made a name for itself offering a more budget friendly alternative to robot vacuums from some of their larger competitors, but over the last couple of years they’ve been making an aggressive play for the higher end market with premium offerings that achieve feature parity with much more expensive units. The highly capable X10 Omni Pro shows that their hardware has matured enough to match and in some ways even surpass many of the companies they once emulated – but are still held back somewhat by inconsistent and unpolished software. One of the nice fringe benefits of having a mop/vacuum combo like this is that there are no extra parts like removable pads, water tanks, or alternate brushes to deal with. This made getting the vacuum set up very quick and painless. I was a little disappointed to see that it couldn’t use any of the existing maps or schedules made by the Eufy X8 that I already had, but it only took about half an hour for it to run its mapping run and another hour or so to adjust the map to break up the rooms by various floor types. And this is where the X10 really began to shine. One of the biggest new features of this vacuum is “scenarios,” which are essentially a way to program the vacuum’s cleaning behavior with a level of specificity I don’t think I’ve seen before. The floor the vacuum is located on represented a bit of a difficult case because it has a mix of carpets, tile, and hardwood flooring. And while I trust the smart floor detection system not to drench a carpet, I am not brave enough to find out if it was intelligent enough to recognize that wood should not be mopped daily. With scenarios though, you don’t need to take the risk. You can put together a program detailing exactly how you want the vacuum operate in just a few minutes, using as much or as little of the robot’s built in intelligence as you feel comfortable with. As far as features go it almost beats out the permanently attached mop. Almost. The X10 is perhaps the first robot vacuum I’ve come across with a mop that I expect to see regular use. I’ve tried several of these things over the years, most of which used microfiber pads to do their cleaning. And while these aren’t bad, they’re also rather hard to recommend. When it comes right down to it it’s just dragging a damp rag across the floor. They’re not great for big messes because they either struggle to pull up anything stuck to the floor or get saturated with grime that they’re just spreading it around. And with small ones it’s hard to justify the effort required to get the vacuum set up for mop mode. With the X10 though it’s always ready to start mopping, and the counterrotating mop pads are refreshingly aggressive. And perhaps best of all, they’re self cleaning. Every fifteen minutes the thing turns around, heads back to the base, and flushes out the mop heads to make sure it never starts hurting your floors more than they’re helping. There is still some maintenance of course. There are two water tanks that will need fairly regular attention (one for clean water and one for gray water) and the pads will need to occasionally go into the laundry to deal with messes that can’t be solved by a rinse and a squeegee. But it’s such a huge reduction in the level of effort robotic mapping requires, and makes it far more usable. It only took two passes for it to handle typical messes in the entryway and kitchen and did better on a few sticky spots from spilled juice and soda than I expected – though its lack of any kind of cleaning solution other than water still meant there were a few that it just couldn’t move (particularly in the grout for the tile, where the brushes were less effective.) But make no mistake, it is a gamechanger. And just in case you think I forgot – the vacuum is pretty good too. When I got the X8 I remember being very impressed at how Eufy’s new high suction cleaning system managed to pull up so much dirt while still being one of the quieter robovacs I’d ever tried. But it did struggle with rugs and carpet – particularly in high volume areas like the entryway. The X10, owing I think mostly to an improved navigation model that allows for it to maximize overlap with each pass and shimmy its way along walls to bring the cleaning head as close as possible to the edges and corners robotic vacuums so often struggle with, did not have this problem. I still think that there’s perhaps some room for improvement in the brush design, which remains quite narrow compared to the body of the vacuum, but until we see more manufacturers willing to widen their cleaning heads this smarter navigation is a decent compromise. So, at this point you’re likely thinking that this all sounds great. Particularly for a vacuum in this price range. Perhaps you’re even wondering if there’s a catch. And, unfortunately, there is. I remember thinking when I was first setting up the X8 that the Eufy software had a lot of eccentricities. Nothing that necessarily rose to the level of a bug, at least not once I’d got past the initial login screen, but there were a lot of minor quality of life issues like buttons which required pinpoint precision to hit on a typical phone screen, clumsy interface design, and vital instructions and features being hidden within menus for no clear reason. With the X10, I was finding both bugs and what appeared to be major missing features. The biggest one of these is, sadly, connected to one of my favorite parts of the software: the scenarios. Any custom scenarios you design must be triggered manually rather than setting them to run on a timer. Scheduling jobs is possible, but through a much more rudimentary interface that doesn’t even offer half as many options for customizing the program. Personally I think I could probably count the number of times I manually start a robot vacuum cleaning cycle in a year on one hand. I automate everything. And by not integrating the scenario system into the job scheduler, they have essentially neutered what I might have considered a defining selling point. And the lack of polish in the app hasn’t gone away, or gotten any less noticeable with the more complex system either. When setting up a job, for example, it always assumes you want to start with your whole home. My first instinct is to tap on the map of the floor it shows to begin selecting or deselecting rooms for cleaning. But no, this does nothing. If you want to do that you need to switch to “room” mode. It’s not a huge pain point, but it’s also easy to miss and very nearly resulted in me doing what I’d been trying very hard not to do: mopping the oak floors. Because other apps have conditioned me to expect that kind of context switch to happen automatically. And I discovered what looks to be a straight up bug in the scenario editor if I had multiple rooms assigned to a task where editing the program for one room would lock me out of the others unless I manually toggled the “smart clean” option for the entire scenario first. I don’t know if anyone from Eufy is monitoring app feedback and user reviews, but if they are PLEASE take a closer look at your app. This vacuum is too good for the supporting software to be holding it back this much. Ultimately though despite my subpar experience with the software, the X10 remains an easy recommendation for me. Particularly at this price point it is exemplary at doing its job, and I have to hold out hope that eventually they’ll get enough complaints to sort out the app and come up with a more sensible scheduling system.

A nice improvement over past generations
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a couple robot vacuums, and so far this is the best one, as far as ability to clean. It has some nice quality of life features, that honestly feel like no-brainers that my past robot vacuums haven't had. Setup was a little odd, I tried manually putting it on the dock after taking it out of the box and plugging in the dock, but it didn't seem to realize it was there (maybe i seated it wrong), so had to take it off the dock. and turn on the vac manually, and then press the home button and make it find home itself, which took awhile as it spun in circles to figure out where it was. Then in the eufy clean app, when trying to add it, my phone couldn't find it, so I had to go through the extra step of manually setting connecting to the robot wifi. It wasn't a big deal though. The robot is able to charge, clean the mop, and empty the dust bin without having to turn around on the dock. This is one of the no-brainer things that makes this better than some other robovacs that I've used. Makes the process go quicker. And, being able to clean and empty is important because of one of the other no-brainer features this has... and that's being able to tell it when/how often, during a cleaning cycle, it should return to the dock for cleaning and emptying. So, now, I can set it to clean a large room, or series of rooms, and it will return to clean and empty every 15-30 mins (or more, depending on setting), and/or go back to clean between rooms. This is contrast to other products I've used which only return after the cleaning cycle is done. This means I have to schedule room cleanings separately, so the bin doesn't get too full or the mop become useless. And, speaking of the mops, the mop(s) are particularly effective on this. Instead of dragging, or making small shifting movements, there are two mop pads that spin at a decent speed to actually get good scrubbing action. The pads also reach ever so slightly out from the machine, so it can reach edges better. Also, I have two large dogs, being able to clean dog hair is very important. I've historically had issues with the auto-empty functions being able to empty the hair, as it needs a pretty good vacuum between the machine and the dock to be able to empty the hair. So far, I've never had to manually empty the dustbin, which is a huge win in my book. As for the app, and detecting obstacles. The map function in the app, seems to work nearly identically to other robot vacuums, to the point where I wonder if they use the same software library amongst themselves. So don't expect any ground-breaking changes with how the map features work and function. Object detection seems to be really good, and I haven't had this get stuck on wires or a stray blanket, but the machine actually detecting what the object was it encountered is pretty poor. But that's not very important to me, as long as it avoids obstacles.

Good for day to day; minimal upkeep
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the X10 to be a fairly good mid-range 2in1 robot vac. One nice feature is that you can tell it to vac, mop, or vac & mop without having to reconfigure the physical robot, provided you keep up with the water tank levels. My previous 2in1 required you to add an attachment whenever you wanted to mop, and that would make it mop only - no vac. But my favorite feature is that it will automatically switch between vac & mop modes whenever it encounters a carpeted surface. As soon as it detects carpet, it simply lifts the mop heads up several millimeters so they aren’t touching the surface. No need to spend (way too much) time ‘defining’ carpeted areas on a map in the app. Default vacuuming performance is more than acceptable for day to day upkeep. If you’re looking for a bit more performance, you can easily tweak the vacuum settings to have it increase suction and/or make multiple passes. It also has a self-emptying function, which moves debris from the robot into a collection bag in the base unit. Eufy claims you’ll only have to replace this every 2 months with ‘typical’ use. I’m normally not a big fan of base units with a bag, as opposed to a reusable bin, but I can live with it if I only have to replace it every couple of months. Most will probably find the mopping performance to be fine for everyday cleaning, but you’ll still have to break out a hand/stick mop every so often to really get the edges. But that’s been typical for every mopping robot I’ve used. My biggest complaint is that you can usually see the tire tracks, in the right light. This could simply be something with our floor/lighting, but thought it was worth mentioning. I’m still playing with the mopping settings, and water to cleaner (it doesn’t include a sample bottle of cleaner either??) mixture, so hopefully I’ll find a combination that doesn’t leave tracks. Object detection is quite good, and the robot had no troubles identifying & avoiding random cords and fake dog ‘presents’. Sound levels are also impressive. I don’t know that you’d want it running in the same room while you’re having a conversation or watching TV, but I certainly didn’t find it annoyingly loud. Even when it goes through a self-emptying operation, it wasn’t horrible. Not nearly as loud as my iRobot is. You’ll probably barely notice the mop drying operation. The app is okay, but has a few shortcomings. It has a tab where you can quickly identify a ‘Zone’ to clean, but it doesn’t let you save that Zone for later use or scheduling. However, you can create a Scenario that also uses Zones, but any Zone you identify in that Scenario only lives in that Scenario. In practical use, this means you can’t do something like schedule the robot to clean up along the counters every day after dinner time, or clean up around the litter box every day. Hopefully they’ll enhance this in future versions.

Perfect combination of a robotic vacuum and mop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing you'll notice with this unit is that it is rather heavy when compared to other robotic vacuums. This is a plus because it seems really well made. The only setup is downloading the app, clipping on a ramp to the base and place the robot on the base to charge. The base has three bins, one for vacuum dust, one for clean water and one for dirty water. The dust bin has a cloth filter which is great for making emptying it easy. All are easy to remove and fill or empty. The only drawback is that you will need to buy replacement bags. I have low length carpet and hard floors throughout the house. I was a little considered initially how I would have to reconfigure between the the floor types. What is great about this unit is that it adjusts from mopping to vacuuming only automatically! You even have the option to mop only, and skip vacuuming carpet or mopping both floors and the carpet. The two mop heads pop in easily and hold on with a magnetic connection. After an initial room mapping run, it is ready to start vacuuming. The vacuum fills with water and is on it's way. The mop heads go up and down automatically between carpet and hard floors. It does this really well and it talks out loud with what it is doing. It transitioned seamless between vacuuming and mopping on a chair mat in my office. The app can be configured with how long you want it go between returns to the base for mop cleaning. It spins and cleans the mop with hot water and heads out again. The battery life is amazing and it mops for over an hour at a time to get my entire house. It does a great job of getting all areas of the floor and doesn't just bump around aimlessly. The carpets looks great, it uses just the right amount of water and the floors dry quickly. I have used robotic units that either vacuum or mop well. This one does both effortlessly. I have owned over 5 robotic vacuums and I'm really impressed with Eufy's move into this space. They did right with their first generation model and I have not found any negatives.

Good robot, vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After one week of use of this robot, vacuum and mop, I can say that I am satisfied so far. Not necessarily a ringing endorsement, but I think the overall positives of this unit outweigh a little of the negatives. First of all the robot came Well boxed with several layers that kept it protected. Opening and taking out and set up was fairly simple. After downloading the app, And having the robot connect to my home network, I was off to the races. I have another companies robot vacuum and it is very hard not to compare to that but I have to. It had similar capabilities with regards to mapping, vacuuming and mopping my first floor home where there is the most traffic and hard tile floors. However, I have to say the Eufy x10 Pro Omni mop, vacuum was superior in several ways. First, it gave a more accurate map of the first floor area And the mapping process itself went far quicker than my other unit. Second, the Eufy Robot Does a superior job in going to where you tell it to go. You can block off certain areas in the app in it seem to do a good job at staying out of the no go zones. Third, this unit simultaneously vacuums and mops which the other unit does not do and so it is far simpler running it cycles without having to swap out the mop cartridge. They are similarly priced so I do think this is the better unit. Now for some of the negatives. The robot does do dumb things at times and seems to get stuck just as much as the other robot. The AI is OK and a little smarter than our other robot, but still makes mistakes. That being said, it seems to make fewer mistakes and runs without having To Help get it unstuck from certain obstacles. Overall, since I think it’s similarly priced to the other unit, I would get this over. It’s in competitors. If you’re looking for a good robot, vacuum with mop, I think this might be the one to try.

More Than Just a Vacuum!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Eufy Clean X10 Pro is amazing. I have now used several Samsung robot vacuums, and even without the mopping this blows it out of the water. First and foremost, the suction is amazing. I really don't even tend to recommend robot vacuums to my clients unless they have pets, simply because they are so expensive, vacuuming provides exercise if you do it manually, and there's not a reason to vacuum more than once a week if you don't have pets. That said, this "sucker" is amazing (pun intended). It seems to be pulling up so much dog hair, it is amazing. Pair that with it emptying itself, and that is so awesome. My least favorite part about manual vacuuming with a dog is that emptying the canister on my Dyson manual vacuum, even if I do it outside, just gets dust and dander everywhere, and it's just not a pleasant experience. On top of that, it mops! My wife is much more enthusiastic about mopping than I am, but now I can set this to mop every other day, and my wife is incredibly happy. Being able to mop, then dry itself, paired with vacuuming is just amazing. having now had a robot vacuum / mop, I cannot imagine that I would go back to just having a robot vacuum ever again. This is so amazing and convenient, it does a good job, and I can't recommend it enough.

Great Performance and Features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Eufy X10 Pro Omni is a great robotic automated cleaning solution for anyone that struggles to keep up with daily cleaning (which is likely many people these days). Being a parent working full time, robotic vacuums have been a savior for my household's cleaning routine, and the X10 Pro Omni has been a huge upgrade over my previous robotic vacuum since it adds a hugely useful mopping function. Overall, I feel like the X10 Pro Omni strikes a nice balance of features, performance, and price and while it's not without downsides, it's a very nice option for those considering this type of product. The docking station is the star of the show. Traditionally, having to manually empty and clean robotic vacuums has been their main downfall. While automated cleaning is always a welcome nicety, having to constant "service" them can become tedious. This unit solves that issue by automating portions of this maintenance. One highly underrated feature of the dust bin is the fact that they've put filter on it. This for me is crucial since the cleaning/emptying cycle has potential to release a lot of contaminants into the air. Eufy claims the filter can trap particles down to .3 microns, which technically would put it on HEPA filter level, but it seems they're not calling it a HEPA filter. Either way, it's a great feature. Along with automated dust emptying, the base also holds the water for the mopping function. The mop is function for about 20 minutes, at which point, it returns to the base to top up on water, and then continues on. This works surprisingly well in my experience and makes the whole operation seamless. Additionally, the base dries the mop pads once the cleaning operation is done. This is also a hugely underrated feature, given it takes all the manual work out of the picture for the most part. Overall, maintenance tasks are down to about once per week, which is a HUGE benefit for me. Vacuum performance here is very good. It seems to do a better job cleaning carpets than my previous vacuums, and seemingly deals with pet hair pretty well. It has a "comb" of sorts that helps keep tangles to a minimum, and in my testing in a house with a long haired cat, I found this to work very well. Previous robotic vacuums I've had required pretty regular brush head cleaning to clear tangled hair. Not really so with this one, which is a huge bonus. Additionally, the vac has "AI" object avoidance on board. While this has mostly worked well, there have been times where it was unable to avoid fabric obstacles, leading to some major jams that needed manual intervention to clear. Overall, I'm happy with the job the vacuum does in terms of suction power and obstacle avoidance, but it's definitely not perfect. The mopping function here is surprisingly good. This largely is owing to the fact that the mop heads not only spin laterally, but also apply a supposed 2+ lbs of downward force. As a parent, this has been exceptional, cleaning a majority of food messes without us having to think about it. Spills and stuck, dried on food on our wood floors has been a non-issue for the X10 Pro Omni. Finally, likely the best feature of the entire package is the fact that the unit raises the mops up while traversing over carpet. This helps to keep moisture in places it shouldn't be to a minimum. The final aspect of the X10 Pro Omni worth mentioning is the accompanying app. I initially had some issues getting everything hooked up, but after some troubleshooting was eventually able to get it working. Once hooked up, the app gives you access to a number of features, including the scheduling and mapping functions. Overall, the app is a nice addition. Those worried about cybersecurity (which should be everyone in 2024), you may consider whether the app is worth the convenience. Eufy is quick to tout their security claims about camera footage and general information not being shared back with their servers, but it's honestly quite difficult to trust this these days. Personally, I've decided not use the app and keep the unit offline. Overall, this is a really well thought out product. The features on tap here make this unit stand out given the price point, and it has the cleaning performance to back this up. As mentioned previously, I'm a parent with small children, making finding consistent time to clean difficult. The X10 Pro Omni has come along to save the day, giving me a consistent cleaning routine that requires very minimal intervention and keeps our floor tidy. If you're in the market, consider the Eufy as a great lower price option.

Best RoboVac I've Owned
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am glad robot vacuums like the Eufy X10 Pro Omni exist. The first time I tried it out, I was very impressed. The wife stepped out to run some errands and I was in charge of house cleaning duty. The tile floors needed sweeping and mopping due to tracking in more dirt than usual due to rains. I filled up the water tank to the Max line without any cleaning solution(Eufy says you can only use their cleaning solution if desired), cleared the floor of any obstructions, closed off the bedrooms that didn't have tile, and proceeded to start the vacuum with Smart mode which created a cleaning plan and strategy based on the rooms and the frequency they get cleaned. The first 5-10 minutes on first use of the vacuum just maps out the area and returns to the docking station to clean the mopping pads. After that's complete, the vacuum starts the cleaning process and adjusts suction power when needed or water use frequency when needed. I was comfortable leaving to another room to tidy up and when the cleaning was complete, the vacuum returns to the docking station to collect all the dust into a dust bag and empty the dirty water into the dirty water tank while also cleaning the mopping pads. The process after docking did take quite a bit of time. Overall, the floors looked great! They were very clean and the wife came home and said "wow, the floors look so clean!". That's when I knew we had a winner! I also could not find a single dog hair on the floor and our golden sheds a lot! Some other things to point out. The set up process was very easy with the Eufy clean app and found my robot right away. Immediately needed a firmware update out of the box. I didn't find a user manual but was able to locate one online to be able to understand the features. The app also does a great job at explaining what certain features are and do if you decide to use them. Although this robot vacuum takes away the need to sweep or mop manually, you will still have to maintain it by swapping out the dust bag when needed or cleaning the dirty water tank while at times cleaning the base station so it doesn't build up bacteria. A small price to pay for the convenience of having a robot clean your floors.

Great Suction and Mopping Functions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product checks all of the boxes! The vacuum suction is super strong, and the mopping feature is amazing. The robot actually goes back to it's base and cleans the mops, then starts all over where it left off. I have used it for a few days in a row now just to get acquainted with it and I highly recommend.
