Wanted to buy a Dyson but for our smaller home (1,000 SF) we decided to go with this after reading online reviews we decided that the extra cost did not justify a larger purchase. This picks up EVERYTHING including all the hair from our dog and cat. The handle makes it easy to bring up or down stairs and the unit is quite light. The retractable cord is a good option. Easy to clean and maneuver. A great mid range unit that performs very well. We are very happy with it!

I purchased this for my trade show booth and it works very well. NO issues picking up anything on the carpet.

Picked up more dirt than I even knew was there. This thing is awesome and I like the side cleaning bristles.

This vacuum is on the heavy side, but it works so well! I did the old vacuum test, where you vacuum the entire house with your old machine then open up the brand new vacuum and see what you get. WOW! We were grossed out! Love this new vacuum, use it twice a week. We have a 14 month old and a dog that sheds year round. Would recommend this product to a friend!

Don't like the flipping forward. It's a good vacuum.

This vacuum does its job very well....very pleased with it. Since most things about this machine are positive, just going to state a few shortcomings (couple mentioned above): 1) Power Cord a Little Short 2) Power Cord exit point too low.....easily run over when backing up. 3) As with a lot of vacuums (it seems), the hose pulls down on itself (shortens) quite a bit when using attachments. But again, "overall", a great vacuum..........

Overall excellent performance. Never loses suction. Could use a couple more accessory tools though.

Found this one and another product from another maker but after reading the reviews went with this one, one which is about 100 bucks cheaper than the competitor. Push button retracting cord is an awesome feature and the ease of setting up and storing is 100% better than what I had before, which was a Kirby and was 100lbs heavier.

We have tried just about every brand of vacuum on the market. Working with the Best Buy Rep helped us decide on this vacuum based on price and features. Even against the Dyson this vacuum literally holds it's own. Would like a light for darker areas, as well as an easier button to pull the cord in. Otherwise excited for years to come with a cleaner house and no bag messes! The pet hair attachment is amazing!

Was on the fence between a Dyson Animal or a vac that was reasonably priced. Bought this on the recommendation of a BB salesperson. Seemed good in theory...'same performance of a Dyson, half the cost...'. Had good suction, functional...although the canister was a two-handed emptying venture, is very heavy and lunky...and thought it was too good to be true. It was! Week 3 and the beater bar quit spinning...belt was fine, but even after talking to Eureka, they recommended taking it back. I did and got what my gut suggested...a Dyson.

This vacuum does an incredible job picking up dog hair. In addition, the tools allow me to easily clean the stairs and other tight quarters. I also love the retractable cord. The only downside to the vacuum is the weight. It is heavier than other vacuums I have used in the past.

My son and friends rented an apartment off campus. Some of the rooms had carpets so they needed a vacuum cleaner. I wanted something reliable and since I already have this model, it was the best choice. It also handles bare floors and brings attachments.

I go through a lot of vacuums because I am one who vacuums every day because of two dogs. I have never owned an Eureka but after reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. I love, love, love this vacuum. It has great suction and it is a breeze to take apart and wash the canister. would defintely buy again!!!
