Even after installing the new NU card and all of the drivers, I could not get the card to function. The directions and boxing fail to mention that you need a separate power line running from the power supply to this card. Because my PC was built by the manufacture, I did not have an extra line, so I had to also purchase a new power supply.

This card same opened box which made me nervous. Yet I bought it new. Install and set up was easy but it keeps cutting out about every three minutes or less which leads me to believe someone returned it and they put it back on the shelf. I will be sending it back and buying direct from the manufacturer.

Didn't know I needed it until I did. I had issues with headsets and speakers fighting over sound, this fixes it. One thing to note is it also runs your front panel jacks if you have them, and requires a Molex power connection.

I was a sound blaster user for 20+ years. My AE5 wasn’t delivering the power and quality I wanted to my headphones. I decided to give this a try and holy Moses! These not only have the power and quality. But can do the virtual surround without sacrificing sample rate!!!!

Works well for people using two outputs that they switch between. I have it running my sennheiser 300s and some basic logitech speakers. The software is also much better than the creative user interface.

Could not download/install drivers. My computer would not complete exe. files. 24 hours of downloads, reading several posts, trying other's ideas, nothing worked. Yes I did use a 5 wire sata power cable direct from power supply. I GIVE UP NOT WORTH IT FOR ME. I hope that this works for some. Potentially a great sound card. I Will be returning to BEST BUY for a refund.

First I hate the company! Why in the hell do I have to create an account to register a product? The card itself is fine except for having to deal with the company.

    Excellent Audio Equipment

I decided to write a review since only two people did so and the score really doesn't reflect the quality of this product. For starters, I'm an audiophile. I've composed and produced music for a long time. I'm extremely annoyed by flat and colorless audio. I love to tweak sound until I'm happy with it. I have been using M-Audio cards in the past and I am disgusted by the lack of options when it comes to sound cards. My gaming rig needed a new sound card (I seem to have fried my old ZxR somehow), so I decided to get this NU Audio card after reading several more technical reviews and I'm very surprised by the quality of the sound this card is capable of rendering. If you're a basic gamer and you couldn't care less for noise reduction, quality audio hardware components or music in general, you'll probably be happy with the internal audio chipset slapped onto your motherboard. If you have a more sensitive ear though, this thing will change a LOT of things. I have this sound card hooked up to an Onkyo amplifier and a custom 2.1 audio config. The sound is crystal clear, the EQ can be adjusted through an easy mode or an advanced mode (with a broader range of adjustable frequencies) and there's a handful of useful hardware accelerated effects available to play around with. You might run into some trouble while installing this card, especially if you do not deactivate the onboard audio, clean up old audio drivers or just expect things to work like installing a graphics card (Microsoft has decided years ago to abandon any types of advanced audio optimizations). If you encounter a BSOD, which happened to me, don't get scared or panic. Don't repair, just reboot and re-run the installer for the drivers. Reboot again and let the program flash the card. After that, you're golden. In conclusion: Do you NEED this sound card? Not if you couldn't care less about high resolution audio. But if you've been blessed (and somewhat cursed) with some sensitive hearing and you cringe when someone refers to Beats or Apple headphones as professional audio equipment, you should give this baby a go. It does everything it advertises and more. Worth every penny.

    EVGA NU Audio Soundcard

This sound card is an 100% upgrade over my Realtek on-board soundcard. The difference was literally night and day. I have the Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 mobo and although the on-board sound is very good, I figured I'd give the NU Audio sound card a try and wow the music and game play sounds are completely different. Mind you my motherboards built in sound card is very good but I knew it was not the best and I figured I'd give this sound card a go since I tend to lean to EVGA products. Glad I did! Installation was a snap although the use of the SATA power cable threw a wrench in my OCD wiring job in my case but nothing a power SATA extention cable can't fix. Drivers worked perfectly with my Windows 10 x64 Pro. Very happy with this purchase.
