Q: After installation is the headphone port accessed on the front or back of the desktop?

A: either way, but to have access in the front connections you need the extra USB audio from the case to plug it to the side adapter. Tbh just just the back your audio will be way better and less hassle

Q: I'm looking for a soundcard with 384khz sampling rate on the input of the soundcard ether on the mic input or the input itself. Does this card have a 384khz sampling rate on the input?

A: By input I do not know if you referring to the terminal input of the sound card or the bus input from the motherboard I have mine set at 192khz 24 bit it will go up to 384khz at 32bit. Hope that answered your question

Q: Will this power my 990 Dt Pro 250 ohm headset?

A: Yeah, it powers my hd6xx headset which is 300ohm just fine. You should have no trouble powering those cans with this audio card. It makes a huge difference in my experience over on board audio. If you have speakers that you also use it should power most of those very well too.

Q: Will this serve as a DAC?

A: Yes it will sounds descent too
