    Was not compatible with my Sony Bravia

    I bought this to use on a ten year old Sony Bravia. We already have two Roku smart tv's so it seemed like the way to go. It worked fine until I shut the tv off. When I would turn it back on, the Roku would keep giving me error code 20, which wouldn't go away until I rebooted the device which made it unusable. Apparently this is a big problem for these devices which Roku does not have a fix for. It seemed to be linked to the software update that it does as soon as it gets plugged in. I ended up exchanging it for a Fire stick which works great!

      Hi MJKM, thanks for letting us know about your experience. An Error Code 20 is usually the result of an HDCP error, which can be caused from a non-compatible HDMI cable. Were you using the HDMI cable that was provided with your Express 4K+ player? Not all HDMI cables are created equally, so using a different HDMI cable can cause or resolve this error code.

    Short life, Roku unresponsive

    Failed after just 12 months (Bouncing Logo). Roku was no help (their suggestions did not work) and unresponsive. Geek Squad said that it was corrupted and non operable.

    Worked okay for several months and now it's failing miserably! I have other Roku devices that do not exhibit anywhere near the problems that this device has since it's started going down hill. What makes it even worse is Roku's lack of support and willingness to stand behind their product. Instead, they have you spending a ridiculous amount of time troubleshooting your network (which works fine with their other devices).

    I keep getting an HDMI connection error so I cannot recommend this product. When it works, it works just fine.

    We purchase 2 Roku’s. One works the other one doesn’t work after 3 months of use. We also have one we purchased 4 years ago that is still working.
