I had never used one before, but this was simple to set up and very user friendly! I will be getting rid of all my cable boxes and getting a few more Rokus. Love that it has a microphone too.

So now we wonder why we gave up DirecTV and dish for a streaming service that is annoying.

However, some services offer a way to avoid ads by subscribing to a no-ads plan from a specific streaming provider. In the meantime, you can manage the ads on your Roku player. Had to add channels and log in again to use most services.

Since Roku has a contract with Xfinity, I replaced all my cable boxes that I was renting for $7/each with Roku streaming boxes. It took 7 minutes to install.

Our fiber-optic cable provider was charging more than twice what we pay for You-Tube TV; the Roku devices were relatively cheap and work great! We have no regrets at all for the change-over.
