I'm not sure if it's the Roku device or the remote or something external but it has issues with speed and connectivity at times. Aside from those times it's great but I'd recommend another model just in case. The Roku in the other room doesn't seem to have these concerns.

I brought it home, hooked it up, and the first thing was a continuous error screen telling me the HDMI cable was not sufficient. It was the HDMI cable that came in the box. So I gave it a new HDMI cable. The next error message was “the tv didn’t have enough power to run the unit.” It wasn’t connected to the tv. It was connected to the wall plug with the usb and usb plug that came in the box. Everywhere I plugged it in, the same message came up. Nothing had enough power to run it - it was the usb that came with the unit. Yet, it was powered on with the useless HDMI cable but programming couldn’t be watched. Bottom line, useless. We hooked up the old Roku and used the new remote. We could not use the new unit, the included HDMI cable, or the usb power source.

Small footprint, much faster processor and 4K capability made it a worthy upgrade (especially when on sale). If you have comcast can stream their channels and not need one of their boxes, saving enough per month to pay for this in 3 - 4 months. Plus lots of streaming options.
