    Although my son has basic cable on his (non-smart) tv, we purchased the Roku Express 4K+ (2021) specifically for it's ability to mirror cast his iPhone SE to his tv, and it works like a charm. It works through your wi-fi, and so also provides an economical alternative if you don't have cable. Setup is pretty easy. Roku has its' own channels with lots of free movies and tv series. You can also use the device to receive individual channel subscriptions you pay for. The voice search feature on the remote is a definite plus and works well.

    This i my 3rd Roku. Very easy to set up and use. I love that you can control the power and volume on the tv. It is great to get if you are looking to stream on a budget.
