Was expecting more out of Fable III
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Limited Collector's Edition so I could get the most out of Fable. The game never seemed to go anywhere. I wasn't thrilled with the story at all, not like in Fable 2. The maps are okay, but none of them are as good as the ones in the first Fables. It also lags quite often which messes up the jobs you do and whatever else you might be doing. Story: Not what I had expected. As soon as you figure out what you are doing and what your a fighting for and against, you have already lost hope in the game. No crazy things to do like the "Spire" in Fable 2. The dog seems a bit more useless as well. Also, jumped to far ahead in time. Maps: Some of the maps are okay. Some of them are pointless and you'll be telling yourself " wow, this is really dumb, I'm wasting my time". One map being...(Mist Peak Valley). Overall: Its an alright game. Not as great as the others. Not a 5 star game. You can do some cool things but they took to much out that they should have left in the game. It isn't long either. You can beat it several times in a week if you wanted. I would recommend this to people who have played the other games in this series but not to someone who hasn't. If you have played the other Fables then you should rent this first before spending the money on it. It gets old real fast.

This should be the best one yet!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the information I've read online and being a fan since the first Fable.I'm truly excited to play this next week.Fable 2 was the game of the year in 2008. Fable III , according to Lionhead, is much better and much broader for fans of the series. One of the cool features of the game is having a villager creator and being able to import him or her into your story. The basic story takes place 50 years after fable 2, and your brother the king, is a tyrant who must be overthrown, do you have the power to do it,will you be good or evil, will you save the kingdom or rule with an iron fist. Oct.26 isn't coming soon enough.

Very good game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fable 3 is a very good game but not excellent. I still recommend people purchase this game especially if you are a Fable fan. First half of the game is were you are growing up away from the castle and than take it from your brother and become King. The second half is playing the role of a King for Albion. I thought this feature was a really nice addition. i just wish that the story mode could have been longer since you can beat the game in about 5 hours. The multiplayer is a way better upgrade than Fable 2 as you can bring over your Hero to help another Hero in their world. I also liked that you can combine 2 spells to make one. But in general the game is really fun, just hope that for Fable 4 they make the story line even longer.

Great game but won't win over non-fable fans
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply a good game, that has a lot of things to do, but you won't really end up doing because you're getting bored of the game. Believe me it was really fun and entertaining, multiplayer over xbox live is very much improved. The storyline is pretty average, yeah at the beginning I was like whoa! I lead a revolution... awesome! ooo I get to be king amazing! but looking back in hindsight, what a lame storyline, no twists no turns, pretty much just put out in front of you, one suprise and that's it. I sometimes wish I could make a video game and actually have good ideas, because Fable 3 really lacked in the hairstyles and clothes, lots of side quests which was great.

Great game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I started this game, I expected a lot from it considering how great Fable 2 was, and I was not disappointed. Though I have completed the story mode, there is still a lot to do keeping me addicted to the game. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys RPGs.

Easy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start out, I've played fable 2 and i liked it but it wasn't the best. Then came fable 3...I'm pretty sure they dumbed down the game and made it worse. To start out the game is way to easy. It seems like when you're in battle it only takes 5 seconds to kill someone. Second, the "bread crumbs" that show you were to go. I mean come on. It's so distracting! and it disappears all the time! the design of the game is beautiful! and i wanna explore the world, but i cant because that little gold line is telling me where to go! It's so annoying. Basically the mapping is terrible in this game. & my last point I'll make, the NPC interaction is awful! they give you 2 options! you dont get to pick! they give you 2 random expressions and that's it. At least in fable 2 you can pick which you want! The makers of this game made it worse than Fable 2! I could go on for hours wh I dislike this game so much, but i wont.

Fable 3...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first time playing one of the fable games and I must say that I enjoyed it. Um, the first time I played, I finished the game sooner than I would have hoped too. But the second time, I actually stopped and 'smelled the roses' of the game and I'm still playing (and it's been weeks now) so I guess it's how you play it

great rpg
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.although the graphics may not be as great compared to other games, its a really fun game. the choices you make decide your path through the game, which gives the player much more control.

Decent game. Doesn't stand up to Fable 2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game about a week and a half ago and I am already close to beating it. I won't give away any spoilers but it seems like there were a lot of things that were taken away when you compare it to fable 2. The one that bugs me the most is they took out all forms of menu. There is really no way to tell how many potions/food you have unless you are in battle with low health. In addition to that, the only way to get to the options/save/quit menu in game is by hitting the guide button twice. On a good note, I believe that you will need to play the game 2 or 3 times to get all of the achievements which gives it decent replay value.

It's.... ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game isn't bad, but it's not great either. I played it all the way through because it came free with my XBox package and game I bought XBox for I need wait until Xmas to open haha. But it's almost pointless. If you be the good king (the 2nd half of game you are king) and do right by everyone and keep all your promises, most of the people die and then those that live hate you and you go down in history as one of the most hated kings. Or be the evil king, break all your promises, save everyone, but still be hated because you were an evil king. Game is lose-lose either way you play it. No happy go lucky good feelings after playing this game.

Fable III
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is a little to easy to master and could always use more customization! Was excited about the wings physical effect when I first heard about game, but I am disapointed that it was only when you did flury and expressions. No Temple of Light??????

phoned it in
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.all the reviews on this site are from people who haven't bought it yet, i would love to see what they think after playing it. like many others i am a huge fable fan and i was excited for them to expand on the innovations of fable 2 like realestate, combat, graphics, multiplayer, and interactions. too bad they didn't do any of that. this game feels so lazy and glitchy. they totally just phoned it in. you can complete the story line in this game in an afternoon and you will hate what happens afterwards as well. you will hate how easy it is to nuke-spell everyone, how you have to enter and exit into interactions and cant chose your expressions, you will hate the new menu system, you will hate the still long load times, you will hate the map, you will hate your glitchy dog, you will hate not being able to do headshots, you will hate how melee is obsolete unless fighting only one person, you will hate fight music coming out for bats, you will hate how there are 4 faces for all the AI's in albion, you will hate how all the jobs are the same buttons, you will hate not being able to turn your safety off whenever you want, you will hate having to learn how to steal or buy property, you will hate how there are fewer clothes and hair, you will hate how lazy and glitchy this game is. again, i love fable 1 and 2, but this one is like when you have a paper due so you turn in your rough draft with a different font and title. shame on you lionhead for phoning this one in and embarrassing microsoft games.

Allright Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been playing Fable since it came out on the original Xbox, if you're a fan of the series this is a good game to get. It is definitely better than Fable 2, but for some reason, I still like the original best,

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is not for casual players. For those that take your gaming a little more seriously, heed my words. The Fable trilogy continues to go downhill as it progresses. The game is annoyingly short, easily finishable in a single sitting. The sword and gunplay are boring and repetitive, with no real strategy involved. Magic is now utilized through magic gauntlets, which you have to equip like weapon in order to use the spell. Example, equip the fireball gauntlet to use fireball. Combat is flavorless and boring. The moral choices that make Fable unique are pointless, as the overall choice your character faces is, "Be a benevolent savior and all of your people will die, or be a ruthless tyrant and everyone will live." And I'm not exaggerating, that's the choice you have to make. Finally, the final boss is an absolute joke, easily dispatched even though its supposed to completely devour all life and light in Albion. Fable 1 was a good game with a great story and sweet gameplay. Fable 2 was an okay game with a great story and bad gameplay. Fable 3 is a boring game with a bad story and bad gameplay. If you really want the extra couple hundred points on your gamer score, rent it. Don't buy this, its a waste of money.
