The unit is very solid and sturdy. The portal performs flawlessly and smoothly. It is very easy to setup and the speed us awesome! I use it everyday and camera is amazing!

I really enjoy the camera on this thing. Having it track my movement when I'm in the kitchen or shifting around on the couch is super convenient.

Bought as a gift for my parents, we use it to chat as my siblings and I all live in different states...great video and audio quality and very easy to use

My mom has a bunch of family all over the US but never gets to see them, Abracadabra, FB Portal has brought my sisters, brother, nephews and nieces right into my moms home! The screen is so clear and smart that even though that they are hundreds of miles away, it's like they are in the house hanging out w/my mom! It's the future of the ol' house phone.

I so love this thing, When I saw the commercial for this I immediately thought about my twins who live 2 hours away from each other. They are always saying they wish they could see each other more often. Well now they can. Their faces when they unwrapped their gifts were priceless. I got one for me as well and video calling with them has been soooo fun! I really love how we can group chat and how the camera follows us as we keep doing what we are doing while chatting. It's really been a blast and I highly recommend if you have friends and family that don't live nearby. Great job facebook!

I bought this product to try the functionality and now I'm convinced at all. My parents and my in-laws have the small version and it's really funny and enjoyable to videochat with them at distance (they all live in Mexico). When I have regular videochat using just Facebook Messenger on the other party, the experience is great. The camera follow up mode is terrific! I'm fully satisfied with the product. The sound is amazing and Alexa works great (although some functionality is missing). I'm eager to get the new functionalities where you can videoconf with whatsapp contacts.

Works great, the function where if follows you during Facebook video chat is amazing. Looking foreword to more apps or functions. Only negative is wish it worked with other video call apps etc

Absolutely love the video chat. It does not connect to your ring doorbell though. It runs on Alexa but it does not allow video from sources that are not facebook. Overall, pretty happy

Best Christmas present. I live in Tx and my family lives in Ky. The portal allows us to visit in real time. Clarity of picture and sound is amazing.

Easy to use and set up. Camera is intuitive and will follow you or span back to include others entering the picture area.

I purchased this portal plus because the commercials showed all the incredible features it can do. Wrong. You can’t ask it for recipes like you can on the echo or google devices. You have to use the food network app and use their recipes. It has Alexa, but it doesn’t display information on the screen like the Echo Show does. Their App Store has about 5 apps. It doesn’t even support YouTube. You have to use a mobile browser version of it. On the plus side, if you’re using this solely for video messaging reasons and you use Facebook to do it, this would be the perfect device for you. But unfortunately, that’s the only thing this device excels at.

My Portal plus has been great to keep in touch with family. It’s easy to use and the picture quality is awesome. Happy with this purchase!

I buy items based on audio quality. This portal is great in size, but lacks features. The audio is below average for the size, as it only has a center woofer below the screen. If on vertical the audio is covered by the screen. In vertical it is good for Youtube,but it has no app functionalities. Get it to video conference, for anything else, is not worth the money spent. I prefer any of the Alexa devices for audio, and Google for features.

Thanks for sending Portal + to my home. It was a battle to figure out how to run the various apps and the main program but we are figuring it our with help of Tips and trial and error. It could be clearer in the instructions. The machine itself is wonderful as we discover it's capabilities. We would like to change the name "Alexa" to a name of our choice since a family member is by that name. The more options the better. We are looking forward to the future uses of the Portal+ and we would recommend it.

Quality of video and sound is really great. However apps are not convenient to use. I don't recommend buying it at full price as its not worth your bucks.

Pros: The screen is great and I love the camera following aspect of it in addition to the Alexa built in. The Cons: would be I can't drop in on my home and view the camera from my phone, hardly any of my friends use the messenger video call so I have not been able to utilize this feauture yet. I also have TV's in every room set up with Chromecast so I can stream all content in every room already. This device could have the potential to be 10x's better with the added features listed above.

We have Family in 3 different states and 1 in a different country. We mailed them early They have had them now for a week We all talk every night and sometimes during super Great seeing them while talking and eating almost like having them at home and at the table Again we love our 15.6 portals

Love the big screen and that it follows you around the room. Feels like you are with the person you are talking to

Great for video calls, auto tracking camera is neat, but wish they’d add more features over time.
