The biggest gaming disaster of 2018
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can be said about this disaster of a game that hasn't already been said? On the bright side, the Power Armor helmet was nice.

Good but not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, I was going to skip this one as I was not going to pay some DB eBay scalper one red cent. I am glad that the majority of scalpers out there are stuck with their multiple purchases since this is now available again. Patience was definitely a virtue with this one. Anyhoot, I think the game it self is good. It's not horrible, even if you just go at it alone. Playing with friends is a nice touch for a change, but I do prefer the single player Fallout's much more. For me it is just to tide me over until the next Fallout comes out in the real 2076. The helmet is kinda cool. I tried it on for maybe a minute. It does have a chemical smell, no real lining so the plastic resting on the top of your head is a bit uncomfortable, and the visor has a real limited view. I have to agree with some of the other reviews on how it is more of a display prop and less of a wearable item. The "canvas bag" is horribly cheap, not really canvas and feels paper thin. It feels more like a Hefty garbage bag. The bag of plastic figures are pretty neat, and does have that "army men" nostalgia about them. The 2 steel books are cool and the Map is a nice touch, but not sure about the glow in the dark aspect. I have not looked at the map in the dark however, as that seems kinda silly to turn off all the lights and try to read a map. Overall, I had to score this one Average. For the price, I was not impressed much with all the stuff. I would recommend this to a friend, if it was at least $50 cheaper. But at the $216 price ($199 plus sales tax) I can't. If you are on the fence and the quality of the collector items is a deal breaker, and you don't feel that have to have them, I would not recommend spending this much on it.

Overpriced Collector's Edition
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a big Fallout fan I was really excited when this Collector's Edition(CE ) was announced and pre-ordered it right away. Overall, I now regret making this purchase. As of writing this review, the game itself is a buggy broken mess, but shows some promise. Over time the game can be patched and reworked to make it more enjoyable. What makes this purchase truly regrettable are the collector items themselves, and specifically the quality and value compared to the price paid. This is not a good CE offering. What you will receive from the product listing: -Tricentennial version of the game -Steel book game case -Power Armor replica helmet -24 collectible fallout figurines -Glow in the dark map -Canvas* Carrying bag. With the exception of the figurines, steel book and map, every other item is either overvalued, or not as described, making the value of this CE very poor. Power Armor helmet looks cool, but suffers from some quality issues. First, it is next to impossible to see out of this thing. Anyone looking to wear this for an extended period of time as part of any Fallout costume or cosplay, look elsewhere. The light does light up but is barley illuminated. It does not function as a working light source. The voice changer is hit and miss, mostly miss. Even when it does work it does not sound too good, and is not very loud. There are some buttons on the side for sound effects. They sound just like those explosion noises you would hear on a cheap children's toy. The carrying bag shown is not what you will get. The product listing and picture show a canvas carrying bag. The bag is not canvas but instead some very cheap looking and feeling nylon bag. Bethesda played a big switcharoo with this one. The quality of this bag is very poor, like something you would get from a dollar/discount store. Very disappointing. The Tricentennial version of the game is not worth the extra money in my opinion. Right now the Tricentennial version is selling for $20 more than the base game. Its hard to determine how much of this extra cost was added to the total of the CE list price, but I imagine the value is just not there. In the tricentennial version the bonus items are strictly cosmetic, that add no kind of advantage in the game . You will get new paint options for only a handful of weapons and specific power armor. Also included is a over-sized Vaultboy/Unlcle Sam mask and outfit, a bonus in game picture frame,in game posters, and emote. So for $20 dollars you get a new but very restrictive paint option, a new outfit, in-game frame , in-game posters and a salute emote. Not a good value in my opinion. This is such a disappointing purchase, especially considering the price paid vs. what you actually get. My advice steer clear of this one unless you are a true collector. Even then, you are probably better off buying the items you want off of a third party, dissatisfied fan like me at a discounted price.

Take me home, country roads
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been so pumped for this game since it was first announced. I chose to order it through bestbuy to save on shipping and get the bonus steel case. I was a little upset because it arrived a day late, but Bestbuy was not to blame and CS was very helpful and apologetic about it. Luckily I could rent it from redbox to hold me over until it arrived. The helmet Pictures do not do it justice! It looks so much better in person and very authentic! The head lamp lights up, theres a button for sound effects, and a voice changer that ads a deep semi-robotic echo to your own voice. Batteries included! My only concern is the battery cover seems a little cheap and im not sure how many battery changes it will last through. Figures They all look super cool and I think I may paint them to use for my groups fallout pathfinder game. The scorchbeast one is probably my favorite ♡ low key hoping theres a mothman but not expecting it West Tek bag the bag seems a little cheaply made, but the fabric is waterproof and looks like it can hold quite a bit. Will probably use mine on vacations Steel cover (tricentenial) its a beaut and feels nice to the touch map I AM IN LOVE. This map is honestly the reason I wanted the power armor edition The game Its amazing and a lot of fun to either explore on your own or with friends. Would highly recommend!

Pretty cool, but not amazing.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would say that it is not quite worth $200, maybe $180. The map is pretty cool, the Tricentennial Edition comes with a steelbook, which is neat, but the bag is kind of cheap and definitely not canvas. The figures are neat, but unpainted, which I think makes them less collectible, unless you are a figure-painter. But they do have a solid construction and do not feel cheap. Now the helmet... The headlamp lights up, but does not project like a flashlight, which is a bummer. The voice modulator should sound like you are speaking through a walkie talkie, but actually sounds like one of those toy microphones that echoes your voice. It also does not seem very loud, but I have not tried it with someone around to listen. I do think that the Titanfall 2 collector's edition was a bit better in quality, as a comparison. All in all, a good set for collection and display purposes. I just wish that there was a stand for the helmet.

Crawl Out Through The Fallout With Me!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game play Review: I have played a little under 20 Hours of the B.E.T.A. and I instantly fell in love with this game. I was very skeptical at first that this game wouldn't be for me and I am pleased to be proven wrong. This game is all online and is basically Fallout with friends. I even made some new friends while exploring the wasteland and ran into some interesting people. The game does have NPCs just not human or raider. This entry into the Fallout series is definitely different but do not judge it by being a online game with survival aspects and no human NPCs. This game is definitely worth a try and I myself have only ran into one person who killed me and it turned into a battle. The only thing you lose is some caps which are fairly easy to come by especially from killing Super Mutants., and also your scraps and junk. Honestly my favorite moment has been running into a random person playing guitar, my friend and I joined in and started playing the banjo and drums. Was a great time and all I can really say to wrap up this review is " Crawl Out Through The Fallout With Me!" Collectors Edition Item Review: I love the collectors edition and the T-51 Power Armor makes it well worth it. The figures are pretty cool as well. The map of Appalachia glows in the dark so that's pretty cool as well and worth framing. Steelbook is very cool as well especially like the pre-order bonus one. The only thing I felt lacking is the misdescription of the "Canvas" bag. The bag is a synthetic material which is kind of a let down when promised canvas, still a neat bag though. All in all collectors edition I would score 4/5 due to the bag being misdescribed.

Lost it’s way
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re a fan of Fallout, skip this one. This is the first Fallout game that I was able to put down within an hour. No NPCs makes the main story feel like a bunch of side quests. Can’t pause at all. Not to build, not to go through inventory. Not even a bathroom break. They should’ve called it Fallout: Fortnite. Power Armor helmet is extremely HUGE and cheap. Will probably break if you actually try to wear it. Voice modular also kinda crappy. Waste all around.
