Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with Fallout 76's gameplay, open world, and action-packed features, citing the beautiful scenery and many areas to explore. However, some players have reported issues with bugs, server stability, and occasional lag. The lack of a compelling storyline was also a common criticism. While many found the price reasonable, the game's technical issues remain a point of concern for some.

I haven’t had the chance to play much, but it’s so far it’s been fun. Reviews have been mixed, but I haven’t had much experience with the fallout series, so from an outside view, I don’t have any problems with it. I could play for hours!

I wanted to like this game, and gave it a bit ... but couldn't get into it. I always thought multiplayer would be great in Fallout, and maybe it is... but without having a regular crew to play with, the main draw to this game is lacking. Not that anyone plays Fallout for the graphics, but they are horrendous. They look the same, if not worse, than Fallout 4. I do like the progression system, though, and will give the game another try.

Unfortunately this is not at all what I expected. No NPC’s, no story line, just the same tasks to get done. Wish I waited for the huge price drop for Black Friday.... even at $35 it would of been a waste though. Glitchy as well.

This was a tough one to review. It definitely is not like other fallout games and playing with friends does make it better. But if you are looking for or hoping for a good one player experience then this is not what you are looking for. Maybe wait until they hopefully make everything better in updates or add ons or wait until it goes to twenty dollars.

    Fallout without a soul

First off let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of the Fallout series. I have played Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4 extensively. Fallout is by far one of my favorite video game series. Bethesda Gaming Studios typically always delivers for me. Sadly, the same can not be said for Fallout 76. While I don't feel it is a bad game, it also does not reach the same heights as it's predecessors. The game feels as though it has sold it's soul to the devil with the addition of multiplayer. By doing so, they have striped the game of what has always made Fallout so rewarding, it's single player experience. There are no living NPC's in the game world besides other player characters. Quests are handed out via computer terminals and halotapes (audio recordings). During my play through I often find myself asking questions like "what I'm a doing out here?" and "what is the point of this". If you are new to the Fallout series I would highly recommend going back and playing the above mentioned Fallout games instead. If you are a Fallout veteran like myself, I will just say if you decide to skip this one, you will not be missing much of anything.

Fallout 76 just seems like more of the same with little to no story. Not excited at all.

I only play this with friends so I can't really review the single player experience. The game is very buggy right now. It constantly drops frames and you get kicked from the game server pretty regularly. Maybe in a few months, if Bethesda does a lot of updating, the game will be worth buying on steep discount.

I’m not sure yet what to think. This game makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. I love being able to play with others, but the lack of NPCs is strange. Also the storyline seems bland, unless you take the time to sit really still with headphones on and keep track of the scattered around quests. Fallout 76 does have potential, I hope future updates will verify this.

This should hardly be considered a game. After the 2 hours it takes to download the disc game you will need to spend another 2 just to download the additional 50gb patch and still have to deal with glitches and bugs throughout your playing experience. If I can get a refund I will certainly go that route.

Boyfriend convinced me to buy this game so we could play together and honestly it has been really fun! Besides getting sidetracked in every mission, I think this game has been great overall!
