Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with Fallout 76's gameplay, open world, and action-packed features, citing the beautiful scenery and many areas to explore. However, some players have reported issues with bugs, server stability, and occasional lag. The lack of a compelling storyline was also a common criticism. While many found the price reasonable, the game's technical issues remain a point of concern for some.

Played fallout 4, really enjoyed the game. Very excited to play 76. Open world where multiplayer is online? Lets see how this goes.

    Utterly Dissappointed

TLDR: The game is garbage, so don't waste your money. Also, consider purchasing a digital download of your games because you can get a full refund and not 1/3 the original selling price because the plastic wrap is off the package. My experience with this game was awful, I didn't even get to play it. The game had a 56 gig update before I even could play within the first week of release, which would have taken me 12 hours to download. While downloading it, I started going through the reviews and they were not good. 5/10 from IGN. After watching some gameplay on Youtube, I decided the purchase was a mistake and stopped the update. I took the game back the next day. The game was opened, so Bestbuy would not accept a return and instead, I had to sell the game back at a fraction of the original purchase price. I got a whopping 26 bucks for a 60 dollar game that is brand new. So overall the whole experience was just bad. What is really irritating is the process I had to go through while trying to get the game, then losing 40 bucks on it. The game was a birthday gift from my Grandma, who preordered it for me in September. I am a college student, so I am away from home, so the Bestbuy she ordered the game at was not one that was near me. So when I went to pick up the game, I could not because I had to pick it up at the store that it was ordered at. There was a copy reserved specifically for me at that Bestbuy. I couldn't really cancel the preorder and pick it up in store either because I did not pay for the game with my card, and the refund for the preorder would go to the original card. So I decided to wait and pick it up when I went home for Thanksgiving, I was leaving for home in a few days anyway and I wasn't really in a rush to play. This part was a nuisance, but understandable because the game was ordered at and shipped to a specific Bestbuy. The kicker is when I went to pick up the game at the store that it shipped to, they had lost the copy. So I could not get the game at the Bestbuy near my college because I have to pick up the one that was specifically reserved for me, but the Bestbuy that was supposed to have that specific copy lost it. So that was really irritating, but I kept my mouth shut because I finally had the game and I could play it when I got back to campus. Then come to find, this highly anticipated game was just complete garbage. I guess I should have looked at the reviews for it before opening it and saved the money. The entire experience from the pickup, to seeing a massive update before I can even play the game, to losing 40 bucks on a game that I never even played and was already annoyed with the pickup process was just awful. Next time I'll just get a digital copy. My Grandma thought she was being really nice by ordering the game for me as a surprise because the game was based in West Virginia, our home state, she thought that would be really cool. Turns out it was just one big headache that cost 40 bucks.

The fallout games are all good but this one takes the cake. The graphics are great and the world is so full. Highly recommended.

It's not as bad as release, and it's not bad at all if you have a group of friends to play with. Especially if you're a fan of fallout.

This game is absolutely amazing now. What it is now, is what it should have been from the beginning and it's totally worth the revisit. The store gets updated regularly and with the added themed seasons it gives you a reason to play. The addition of NPC's was definitely nice touch and brings the world to life. 10/10 would recommend now.

This game is not worth $60 but I got it for $30 and it's totally worth it for me at that price. I've been enjoying the game more than I thought I would. I feel it would be totally worth it when Bethesda fix the bugs to just be able to play a fallout game with your friends.

From a Fallout franchise fanboy. Loved every entry. Vegas and F4 were filled with comedic entries with NPCs... however, in this entry, all the NPCs that arent mutated are dead. There is literally no dialog with a live human NPC. They went the MMO route and it doesn’t work. It’s not enjoyable and truly boring. After logging two sessions and hours of play, I have little desire to return to the game. Bethesda, not Bestbuy, owes many of us refunds: this will be a black eye on an incredible franchise

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person.

I was very excited about this game but it wasn’t what I was expecting. After Skyrim and Fallout 4, I was hoping for something just as awesome. The fact is that it is a decent game. You can play co-op but the game itself is nothing of note compared to their past releases.

When I purchased this I didn't know it was an online game and that you needed a subscription to playstation to play it. I wasn't able to return it after it was opened so it was a waste of money.

When I spend $60 on a video game I expect it to be relatively bug free and playable. I started out playing and had the game crash on me multiple times. Shortly after, a nearly 60 GB update was required to play the game...3 hours later, I discovered that all of my progress on the map was gone. I had been places, but I could no longer fast travel between them. What a piece of junk game that could have been so much more. I'll go back to playing No Man's Sky...at least the developers have listened to their audience, and that game is worthy of a few hours of my time. Not this sad excuse for a Fallout game.

I’ve never had much hate for this game, but Wastelanders has made this game that much worth it. It’s not full priced anymore, so give it a try.

Awful game!! The story mode is hard to follow. No opportunity for dialogue selection like previous FO games. Online play is so laggy!! There are broken missions that you are UNABLE to complete. Bethesda continues to steal from the gaming community. No wonder this game dropped in price less than one month after it came out. ALSO... Best Buy wouldn't let me return the game. No where on my receipt did it say I couldn't return it. Took it back to the store, and they basically said I can get $20 or a new copy. Return policy was very poor. Not giving my business to Best Buy or Bethesda anymore!
